    This is what’s makes a player and coach relationship if you played football then you know and I’m speaking from experience I had a hard coach before and I also was a knucklehead and me and that coach bumped heads but it honestly made me better and taught me discipline they’ll get along just fine Pickens now is gonna know this dude is serious and he’ll put in much more effort

    DK...Glad you have addressed this topic. The WRs Coach has to establish a culture and standard of what he expects. The military does this all the time during Bootcamp..The WRs will be the best position group as a result this season.

    DK: agree, rookies, regardless of what round they were selected, must "earn" any promotion in the depth chart. They will get their opportunities starting Tuesday when the pads are on and real football practice begins.

    Couldn't agree more about the WR situation, I was thrilled when I heard about the dust up, it's what's needed, and you had two alpha personalities testing each other and a hardline coach establishing how things are gonna be now. And to his credit, no matter how genuine it was or wasn't, I liked how Pickens responded the next day.....now all parties can move forward.

    hi DK, love daily shot, most when finally Latrobe is here, that said, of course discipline was needed I have never seen that kind of behavior on a receiver as I witnessed last year, specifically at indy, hopefully Pickens will understand that all is about the team no about him

    Morning DK, couldn't agree more. That position seems to have this issue, and Pittsburgh isn't the exception, obviously if Pickens feels it's okay to push a coach discipline is definitely needed. Always felt if either he or Tae needed to go it was Pickens. Even with the back tracking on RAC, or the one ignored or unseen fumble last season. My take on the fumble was he was probably wondering like the rest of us why coach didn't challenge his TD on previous play. Hopefully it helps with that unit that everyone but the powers that be are concerned with. Good stuff again DK , thank you

    Zach is notorious for getting his receivers heated and yelling at them because he's a real WR coach and he won't let the diva receivers half ass a block or half ass a route. GP and Zach will be fine GP will go home think about it and come back more disciplined because Zach sees his potential and knows what he's capable of so he's gonna push him to be better and GP will only get better and better. We survived Antonio Brown and his crazy years we will be fine 😂😅 almost forgot to say thank you DK for the early morning discussions I appreciate your show every weekday before work. What did you guys think of Justin!? The footage I got too watch he was rolling with the punches he looked like a vet out their I think we may have our franchise guy in the waits I could be wrong but lord I hope not because I love this kids potential

    I'm just having nightmares of Dan Moore starting week 1-5 regardless of how ready Troy F. is.
    Hate to be this way, but the first 14 weeks last year were soooo miserable that I am spurned. I now seriously doubt the org's ability to evaluate their own talent bc some of their most impactful players either sat on special teams or on the bench entirely while vets (& 2nd year QBs) embarrassed themselves on the field for between 5-14 weeks.
    I love this franchise, love this city, so I hope Moore than anything I'm 100% wrong ... lol.

    It would be sad to see Pickens go but enough is enough is enough is enough is enough is enough is enough is enough. The NFL is filled with these types. Talented divas. The Steelers need to read themselves of this type of nonsense. If they get rid of him I’m sure that will send a clear message to the rest of the divas. That’s not gonna happen. Not in Pittsburgh

    • @davidoliver62
      @davidoliver62 2 месяца назад +2

      This is a dumb comment. Tomlin got 9 years out of head case AB. No other coach he played for could even get one season out of him. Just because Tomliin doesn't do it in public doesn't mean it isn't happening. There is more than one way to discipline. Screaming at guys on the field is only one approach. One of the first things almost every player says about Tomlin is how he holds each player accountable.

    • @lawaune1
      @lawaune1 2 месяца назад +1

      I have never ever embarrassed my children in public but you better believe I have been extremely hard on them in private. To think because a coach isn’t disciplining players because he isn’t hollering and spitting in front of the cameras that he isn’t doing anything is just crazy. Any ex player that has ever spoken on Tomlin has always spoke about the accountability that he put on each player. The fines he puts out. People like you think these players should be treated like trash and like non humans 24/7 and that’s not real life

    On a Chuck Noll or Bill Cowher team, player leadership would have already modified Pickens' outbursts. As Cowher's players retired, Steelers' leadership has really declined. This is really Tomlin's issue to fix. You see talk about it, but little result.

    I'm wondering why three other teams who hired Azzanni as their WR coach, in the last six years, haven't retained his services? It's not as if he is moving up the coaching ladder with each new team he joins. These are all lateral movies. I hope he's not just a hired gun hard-ass, who's nothing more than that.

    Pickens should not be putting his hands on any coach. It’s one thing to jaw at a coach it’s another thing to push a coach. Just wait until Pickens gets his big money contract assuming the Steelers give it to him. You are looking at AB 2.0.

Ever since AB that portion has had EGO but not showing it on the field. Adversity reveals character!!! Look no further than the Indy game last year, which was an ugly adverse situation and look at how George Pickens reacted to it. He's a selfish punk and lacks respect for teammates. Only cares about himself.
