Hello from Canada! You and I think the same when it comes to cutting out patterns on felt. Always place the pattern at the edge/corner. I like to use double sided tape to stick patterns to the felt. Yes. It definitely makes the felt last longer Janet! We were evacuated only the one night due to the fires. It was a scary time, but the emergency services were incredible!! We're all so incredibly grateful to them.
