- Let’s make a Japanese dish this time! Pork cutlet is also known as Tonkatsu. Pork cutlet is breaded with panko and then deep fried to get a nice crispy outside layer served with katsu sauce with shredded cabbage or rice.
I wanted to make a healthier version of the popular dish you might have tried at yummy Japanese restaurants, seen in anime's or in TV dramas! I made this recipe with an Air fryer, but feel free to deep fry it like the original way!
For the ones who don't have the katsu sauce at home which they normally serve it with. I will show you a very quick and easy way to make that sauce. You can adjust the flavor by experimenting with the ingredients. Let’s get started!

I’ve made pork katsu the traditional way and air fried and honestly can’t tell the difference in taste and air fryer method is way easier to clean up! Love how these come out 😋

This looks very very delicious. I remember, one of the very first dishes, which I tried outside of my home's tradition Indian vegetarian kitchen was pork cutlet. Known as pork chap, they were very different from the Japanese tonkatsu. Nevertheless, this brought back so many memories. It was great watching this video :)) The way you have morphed the fired foods into lighter healthier air fried versions is brilliant, and what awes me is that not once you compromise with the texture of the meal. The cutlet looks so crunchy and has a perfectly tempting golden color. And when you cut it, I could see, how well balanced the meat is done. It looked very juicy and tender. I always love the homemade sauces you prepare, this one was also no exception.The sauce looked absolutely yummy. The presentation platter made my mouth water. Thanks for the recipe, I loved it

💃💃 I"m first!
Uh oh, I didn't gently tap the "LIKE" button, I slammed it cos I didn't want anyone to beat me to first 😜🤣. It's like you read my mind. I have 4 pork chops in the freezer that I purchased last weekend. I was thinking of making tonkatsu with curry. This recipe came just in time, now I can make it in the air fryer since I was dreading the frying part haha. It turned out excellent, nicely golden and crispy. The plating is just like the ones in the restaurant with the shredded cabbage....perfect. Ooooooo I'm craving it now and it's only 8am 😜. Another fantastic recipe, will definitely try this for lunch during the week. Great job cutie, I love it! 💖😍👍LIKE #1st.
