Baldi actually pushing back against all the naysay.
respect the discussion between Baldy and Ike. Real talk! for what it's worth, i'm leaning towards Baldy on those interceptions.
I’m not I agree with Ike Jalen sometimes makes things harder then what it needs to be all that other stuff baldy and others brings up is excuses
I split the difference. Baldy had solid points. But Ike’s right that Hurts’s throws were too late.
@@brizzoke don't disagree. but i think the crux of Hurts' poor decisionmaking in both those INT's was giving his WR's opportunities to make contested catches. Normally, probably not a great idea but we've seen both AJ and Smitty make awesome contested catches. in the end, jalen doesn't really make bad decisions so ultimately i'm ok with those plays (for now).
I’m with Baldy.
Badly is right
I like baldy’s perspective on the 2int.
Why is Ike so emotional? Calm down man!!!! Love Baldi’s point “this is not the 1980’s don’t throw the ball across your body”
I said the same thing. If aj doesnt slip. I still think its a TD
I think it’s still late but he’s able to sway it down I don’t think AJ noticed Jaire seeing him back there
Exactly these dudes love spreading hate, he could have 400 yards 1 pick and they'll still b****
@@deeproblem831he slipped stop it
@@mr.nmtrue505 never said he didn’t? Bug he threw across his body wasn’t enough velocity not to mention placement to get it away from jaire. It was a bad decision
I'm really surprised at Ike on this subject! Jalen made a couple of mistakes, it's week one, everyone needs to calm down. I'm really disappointed in Ike, he needs to just calm down!!!!!!!!!!!!
Disagreeing with someone is being disrespectful🤷♂️
I'm with Baldy
WIP enjoys criticizing Jalen when he has a so so game it ridiculous. Ike didn’t treat Wentz like this and he’s trash smh
Yeah he could throw for 400 yards and have one pic and they will still cry about the one pic
@@mr.nmtrue505 the pic would be the only thing they talked about. Just like all ppl talk about is his fumble in the Superbowl who played almost perfect the rest of the game.
You can’t have Jalen playing scared.
I'd play scared too on that crappy field
These guys are hurts haters forever he had a legit breakdown and they of course tear it apart ridiculous
This might be an unpopular take but I don't want a QB that needs his feet perfectly planted, his mechanics perfectly executed to deliver a pass. "Mechanical perfection" being favored over "player skill" killed soccer all around the world, don't let it kill football. QBs should be encouraged to play off-schedule, improvise and risk completely absurd throws, it's what makes the most memorable moments. Nobody remembers the "by the book" game manager, system QB. People remember the crazy ones.
True
Weirdly enough I think the picks that were dropped were worse decisions than the throws that actually got picked
Agreed. The dropped pick 6 about broke my brain haha
Love baldy
Dickerson was pushed back into the throw out of the inzone to Devonta so Hurts couldn’t follow through…and as far as AJ. …you act like AJ wouldn’t come to the ball if he doesn’t slip..and Alexander was not looking at Hurts he was looking at AJ.
Yeah these wip just hate
The thing is, we’ve seen Jalen make throws like that before. As a receiver you want your QB to have supreme confidence in you to go out and make those plays. What we don’t want is Jalen to be out there playing scared overly concerned hes going to throw picks. That stuff happens. The worst decision wasn’t those two picks. It was the one that should have been a pick six. Gotta throw it over Dotson’s head and just get to the next play.
I can agree with that, also not sure if he expected Dotson to come to the ball instead of sitting there…
I heard something on the Eagle Eye podcast. Hurts is extremely accurate and has strong throws...when he has his feet set. His power comes from his lower body. He doesn't have the wrist/arm strength of Stafford, Mahomes, or Allen. He's not going to able to rip it into tight coverage while on the run, especially across his body. Maybe those other quarterbacks get those balls to the receivers on the INTs, he's not going to be able to. One of the most important parts of success is knowing your strengths and weaknesses.
@@757CitiesReppa Yeah, but the problem with Dotson was that even if he completes the pass, it's not that big of a gain. At least on the INTs, one is in the end zone and the other is on third down. The risk/reward on the Dotson play was not worth it even a little bit.
@@sethbomgardner9030 both Allen and Mahomes usually have just as many if not more ints as Hurts. There is literally no reason to mention those two in particular because several modern qbs do the same…this is a new day. The ball got where it was supposed to, AJ just slipped.
@@sethbomgardner9030 a completion is a completion…no one knows what would happen after a catch…wrs gotta come to the ball and catch it first, then we’ll find out. Almost every other team wrs usually do and they handle the “scramble drill” differently as well
Come on Mr. Ike let Baldy talk. Yall ha e him on to ask him a question. I side with Baldy on the end zone throw. AJ was wide open its just that he slipped and wish Hurts saw him earlier.
I see that Ike has made the transition to a WIP Hack, Baldy is spot on. If Jalen would've released the ball sooner I'm both ints it's a big play and a touch down.
When the D is in zone then the QB often has an opportunity to "throw the receiver open". That's what the great ones do.
lol wow. It’s only the first game, like Christ, dude.
wip sucks
4:08 - "If you know you don't have that canon for an arm..." - maybe Jalen doesn't think he has a weak arm like you think he does, Ike.
I doubt AJ would be waving his hands asking for the ball if there were any GB players near him the way Ike said he saw.
Jalen's career is based on that type of play!
Ike no body wants to hear you talk when baldy is on lol just a heads up
Exactly
I can see the argument from both sides tbh but at the end of the day Jalen needs to be better if we going to the superbowl
I agree with Reese. That wasn't a good throw given the context. If he had time to stop, plant, and fire then that would have been fine but he probably didn't have time to do that.
You're missing the entire Point AJ Brown slipped it would have been a touchdown no matter whether he planet or not come on
@@mr.nmtrue505 Not at all. It would have been a 50/50 ball and no reason to throw that in that spot at that point of the game.
@@buckstraw925 50/50??? Do you even know who AJ is? He's a monster.
@@neetrab When I say 50/50 I'm not weighing in the skill of the two guys going for the ball. So yeah, Brown would have a solid shot and coming up with it and if not would like have ensured that it wasn't an int. The point remains.
Again. No could've in football? Only did or didn't. C'mon Ike
On the Smitty interception Dickerson was in his lap when he threw it.
Ike u gotta stay out ya feelings 🤦🏾♂️
One of the best back-and-forth I heard in a long time I appreciate it when it was life in real time, and I appreciate it watching this video even more knowing what I know of the game, I believe both of you guys to be right on your assessments 🦅👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Ike’s opinion isn’t as good as Baldy. Please Ike..,listen and learn from BB.
Cmon Ike
Ike being emotional, because the ball got picked. If Hurts makes the throw a little earlier nobody has anything to say.
Year 5..same mistakes..LATE ON THROWS..AND SEEING WHOLE FIELD
He threw it late because he had to wait for AJ to find some space.
@@TheodoreNicklas you can say that about every qb in the league that is a robot made by Mitsubishi. Any given game day ANY top 10 qb.
Baldlyyyyy is so rightttttttt. I’m with him
you
Why is Baldy so rude this year? It's annoying.
How is he rude speaking facts
@mr.nmtrue5059 what do facts have to do with being respectful. Even if he was correct, there are ways to present yourself that doesn't shut others down.
@@tmmotter1 to be fair baldy sits in a room 24/7 watching film...baldy was right smith wasnt triple covered to begin with ..hurts was late with the throw
@@tmmotter1 if you thought that was rude......sheesh!
