just an fyi hard shell cases damage the hinges of the macbook and keyboard covers will also add pressure to your screen/display and break it which will later cost you hundreds of dollars to fix down the line.
@@playboicarti124 no they actually are not ok. Apple literally has said that it adds too much pressure to the hinges because of how the macbooks are made.
@@playboicarti124 i also work in geek squad, the amount of macbooks we have gotten because people are dumb enough to add hardshell cases and keyboard covers to their macbooks is insane. Don’t do it!
@@playboicarti124 what brand? It doesn’t matter how light it is though cause macbooks are made to fit perfectly the clips or whatever is used to stay on the MacBook won’t let it close properly or if you try to leave it slightly opened it will automatically close which is really bad
you should remove the case because it will damage hinges and do a ton of micro scratches and also the keyboard cover has to go because in few months theres gonna be keyboard outline on your display
The weight of the plastic covers will ruin your screen hinges over time. Do not use them. Also the plastic will scratch your macbook air. The keyboard plastic you put over the keyboards will mess up your screen. The screen is designed actually not to touch the keyboard so there is a very minute clearance there when the laptop is closed. I would recommend you just use a nice micro fiber pouch to keep your laptop in.
I also always used a keyboard cover, but it turns out the chance of it damaging the screen is high! I woke up one day seeing my screen flickering and stuff and apparently that is not covered under the warranty and repairing the screen is soooo expensive. Maybe you should think about it
I think your Macbook was previously used. Im only saying this because the protective plastic on the macbook was on backwards and it appeared to already been removed.

also be careful using a keyboard cover, i heard it can crack the screen
omg thank youuu so much! I was really worried about the sound😅

Loved the video but please be aware that you shouldn’t use a cover for your MacBook since it can damage it. You can use a sleeve instead❤
wait how does it damage it?
@@lsrrsl12 it adds weight and pressure to it.
Omg I got my first MacBook this morning and now I see your video as a recommendation ❤

I actually prefer these unboxings with minimal editing and cuts
