Fantastic, thank you Lara. I'm learning so many different picking patterns now, it's just great! I notice how my fingers have become used to the patterns I'd used before and don't want to budge to play new ones, haha. I guess it's down to muscle memory. Such a beautiful song with lyrics that resonate with me a lot. Thanks again Lara 😊🌷
I'm glad you enjoyed this one Clari 😊 It is interesting how we get used to playing patterns and then it can be hard to break out of them. I think the same happens with strumming...it's so easy to go right to the island strum and it can take a lot of focus to play different patterns or rhythms. It's good exercise for the brain, like learning a new dance 😉🎵
This is very nice Lara. Unfortunately, I cannot play four-finger patterns due to injury which leaves me with only the Travis pattern. Very enjoyable nonetheless. Your time and dedication are always much appreciated.
@@LaraMarkowitzMusic Well, we make the most of what we're given. I've gravitated away from the ukulele to 'lap steel' for this reason. However, I find your arrangements so compelling that I'm often back with the uke, albeit not as often as before. So, if my 'Lap Steel' gets a little jealous... I suppose I'll have to blame you. That's intended as a compliment.
Lesson learned... Thank you teacher! Great job apple on the desk.
I'm so glad you enjoyed this lesson, thanks for the apple! 😊
Beautiful, just beautiful!
Thanks so much Leo! 🤗
