Sami-T) pulled up to the Entertainment Report Podcast for an EPICCC and exclusive conversation about their 30+ years career in the sound system / sound clash culture. Sami-T spoke about growing up in Yokohama Japan, discovering Dancehall culture via cassettes, coming up with Mighty Crown, living in Brooklyn, their breakout at World Clash 1999, meeting and working with Irish And Chin, past issues with Bounty Killer, Wyclef dubplate, Sound Clash At Sea, clashes with Bass Odyssey, Black Kat, David Rodigan, Killamanjaro and Poison Dart.

    Big up Mighty Crown 👑. Always respect their rise. Glad you brought up Judgment Muscle. Taxi Judgement and Red Spider were the first sounds I heard from in Japan. I give Crown credit for putting Japan on the map.

    So many of us inna foreign got hooked on reggae dancehall culture from sound system cassettes , deciphering di intro from di m.c. from di chune from di selecta dem, my first cassettes we're from jammys, tic - a - music, sound dynamic & Rambo mango etc.

    Great interview and i am certainly impress with sami and how he really help push reggae music and i love the japanese how they embrace reggae ,and he is very honest,and knowlegeable of reggae music and muscle please get interview with ian from road star fame and captain midnight from super saint these are two of the most outstanding selector ever talking and playing at the same time these men can fill a stadium just playing 45s

    Why would you want to switch your accent every now and then if you did not grow up or live for a period of time in a country where you are not from.
