Great reaction, John! Amira won Holland's Got Talent at age 9. Amira is a world-class super soprano. In this video she beautifully projects the very high note Eb6, which at the age of 13 is absolutely paranormal. She sings classical, semi-classical, crossover, gospel, musical and great movie soundtracks. She has sung so far in 9 different languages: English, Dutch, Spanish, German, Afrikaners, Italian, French, Latin, and Swedish. She is the youngest soprano to reach number one on classical music radio in Europe. She has been donating half of everything she earns to build playgrounds in poorer schools in South Africa since the age of 9. At age 10 she received in the Vatican the Humanitarian of the Year award.

13 years old here. Won Hollands Got Talent in 2013 at the age of 9. At the time of her audition she sang O Mio Babbino Caro and won the golden ticket to the semi finals where she performed Ave Maria by Gounod and then performed Nessun Dorma in the finals to win. You might find it interesting that at the time of her auxition she had never had a vocal lesson. As you surmised there was more raw talent in that tiny 9 year old body then most highly trained 35 or 40 year old performers.
My suggestion would be to start at the beginning and follow her growth as she learned and grew both in size and ability. You have an amazing journey ahead of you. Amira (pronounced A meer ah) is currently 19 years old

This girl can sing a simple ballad, a prayer, an opera aria, a musical, you name it and give you chills and maybe tears every single time. I have not found any one else that can do that to me. And what is so amazing is she is so very young. An amazing talent!!!!

Yes, it was a large production - Title "Classics is Groot" ("Classics are great" in Afrikaans). It was held in 2017, in Pretoria - the capital of South Africa. This was item #19 of a total of 31 items in the concert; Amira also performed Item #14 ("Nessun Dorma" - from the opera "Turandot" by Puccini - singing in Italian, and in item #15 ("Flower duet" - from the opera "Lakme" by Delibes - singing in French, with Corlea Botha), and in the two last items, "Amigos para Siempre" and "My Way" for both of which the whole cast was on the stage. Since January 1 2018 she has been living in South Africa, where she finished high school last year, with an astronomical pass.
If you were already so amazed by Amira's "Amazing Grache", her interpretation of "Your Love" will blow you away.
Simply she is the best. She likes to sing opera arias. ( Nessun Dorma, o mio babbino caro ) religious hymns, ( How great though art, Nearer my God to thee) Movie music ( Nella Fantasia, Gabriella 's song, your love) theatre musicals ( sound of music, phantom of the Opera. )
Classics is Groot, in south Africa, always go for the big production, but she doesn't need it listen to her sing Gesu Bambino, in her local church. Awesome.

She went on to win that season's show! Her name, in Arabic, means "princess," but we fans know that she is really an angel from heaven! Amira is widely considered to be the best singer in the world. She has amassed over 1 billion fans worldwide. Miss Amira also recieved a 10,000 person standing ovation at just the age of only 9. She also won Holland's Got Talent at age 9 as well. Amira has had no lessons or voice training to date. Amira's voice and quality might only be achievable after 20+ years of nonstop hardcore training. She has sought out vocal teachers and lessons countless times only to be told "I'm sorry, there is have nothing more I can teach you." She is now 18 years old and her voice is only going to get better. She says she learned from watching RUclips videos.

Every time I see her videos it makes me laugh. As it reminds me of her first audition as a cute little girl and when she got the thumbs up she fell to the floor lying on her back with her arms and legs up in the air pretending to be a dead bug. 🤣
It shocked and confused the judges and the audience as they didn't know if she had a seizure or what. Her parents later explained that she does that at home sometimes as a joke to express and Oh my God I am so shocked, or something like that. Just a strange sense of humor and as a little child she didn't have any social filters to not do that on stage. Hahaha!

Nice reaction,thank you.Amira had not received any formal singing lessons,before she entered "Holland's Got Talent."Before Amira went on stage,she was given a few coaching tips,by some of the organisers of HGT.She had taught herself to sing by watching videos on You Tube of Luciano Pavarotti,Maria Callas and Andrea Bocelli, while copying their mouth movements.Amira went on to win the competition, with more than fifty percent of the votes. Now that I have watched to the end, well done on a great reaction. Always interesting to see a metal vocalist react to classics. I am a blues vocalist so I can appreciate the reaction and how impressed you were with her. Amira is an angel, with an incredible talent. She was discovered as a self taught kid of 9 years old when she won Holland's got Talent and since then, she has gone from strength to strength. She is an incredible young lady and the world is at her feet.

Two years of Tv Practice learning from Maria Callas. Years of distance race winning for lung power. But for the epidemic she would have gone to the Olympics. Graduated high school as valedictorian.

She got a curtain call and standing ovation. She is now 19 and lives in South Africa and has sung across the world. Operatic arias, classic crossover, musicals, hymns, fun songs like Little Drummer Boy with the Mzansi Youth Choir, etc. Many of us have played her songs almost every day for 10 years. Amazing Grace was composed by John Newton (born 1725). A former slave ship captain who became a Christian and opponent of his former trade. Sometimes they accept my links (I don't know why), and sometimes they don't (I don't know why). The only reason why she had limited performances despite her amazing talent is because she was still studying and there was a legal restriction on how many performances she could perform in a year because of her age.
