    Performance Edition Marching Band - Grade 4
    From the hit Broadway musical, this production number includes a light rock treatment of Dancing Through Life and a creative setting of Defying Gravity. This is skillfully constructed to include musical contrasts and visual impact points for the field.

    I wish I could get the audio for just the drums. Mainly quads because that's what I play.

    What kind of annoys me in the defying gravity section is the fact the 3-note motif in the flute/piccolo is a quaver (8th note) too early!

    The tenor part is lit but the sad thing is there is no cool moves there is not crosses or sweeps it is the most basic song for tenors.

    I love the arrangement, but who in the heck thought it would be good to have SO MANY crunchy notes in Defying Gravity... Eb, F, G, Bb ... then Db, Eb, F. Why would you do that?

    • @jon7696
      @jon7696 7 лет назад

      Patrick V. How do you think think the person playing Elphaba feels? She has to hit a Bb5!

    • @patrickv.3979
      @patrickv.3979 7 лет назад +1

      It's not the high or low... it's about the notes in a order to make a chord sound really bad. Hence, "crunchy".
