Bravo, Bravo 👏 👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I played "Moonlight Sonata," at the age of 6 six years old and at 7 years old, my piano teacher qho had been classically trained handed me "Moon River," and this was my first introduction to Henry Mancini. The love of his music began at that moment. Roger's and Hammerstein "Carousel." The love of music never ended. ❤🎨
Mancini hand-picked all of these session musicians to play in this orchestra. They’re all at the top of their game- best cats in town. Awesome performance.
Mr. Richard Dennis who was concert master and first violinist was not only my teacher at North Central high school but a very dear friend over the years until his passing. He was such a wonderful person and his music was beyond words..all that said he was so astounded by Mr. Mancinis musical genius he said that even though they were great friends he was always in awe of his talent and honored to be a part of his orchestra. How I miss them and their wonderful concerts. Thank you for this concert memory!
From what I know, you are fortunate beyond all to have studied under Mr. Dennis. He captured my imagination the first time I saw the Charlie's Angels theme performed here on RUclips. I finally found information about him online. I could see his intensity, precision and the pure joyousness making music brought to him! Priceless! Lisa

One of the major influences on the children i taught as a special ed teacher working with children with downs syndrome and / or autism was music rather it was when I was personally playing the piano or just had cassettes going the music spoke to all. I would be lost without music to listen to or play on piano .

Where have I been that last few years! I need to tune in again! Wow, even in live concert, Mancini produced that utterly flawless studio quality sound. I don't know how he did it, but he and his orchestra had some magic to bring smoothness in sound to a unique level. His slow and quiet pieces just have an effect of calming your soul and lifting it away. Thank you so much for sharing this.
Fantastic music! Normally, the melody accompanies the plot of the film. But in Mancini's case the music itself creates images and plots. It's a pity we did not hear the theme from "Sunflowers", "Summer of 42" and Doctor Zhivago"... It's timeless music composed by a genius.
