Hi Ken and Joy. Joy certainly looked a sad puppy coming out of the Chong Hua Hospital. But she looked 100% better on your little banka ride. Your time there seems to have flown. But you needed that rest. When you are back here and you do a trip from Emerald to south and you go through Springsure, how about filming the route through town. Likewise, coming north, if you are taking the short cut from Tomingley to Gilgandra, how about filming through Narromine. A mate of mine grew up in Narromine and he is currently working in Springsure. Good health Joy, and of course you Ken. We need you healthy to film your trips down under. Cheers

It's a different World over there. We spent a week in Cebu last year on holiday (my Mrs is from Manila). I remember walking out of our rented apartment, that was very nice, into a street opposite SM City Mall and the smell of the sewer just bowled you over. It was 5 months after some massive cyclone and the powerlines (worth a video alone) were dangling on the road. People walked around them like it was nothing and trucks and busses drove through them. Very different to Sydney. I did enjoy it though.

Ken, great to see another video and very pleased indeed Joy is back on her feet. I love comparing various aspects of life there with my experiences in remote rural northern Thailand. There are quite a few similarities but with variations. In this episode the house construction, home blessing, food and power outages all resonated. Here when we built our home the team were locals but the builder paid an older local to stay/sleep on the site. There was someone onsite for the whole seven months. There is a house being built across the road from us atm and I noticed last week their overnight security is the biggest and scruffiest looking German Shepherd dog I've ever seen. Stay safe sir.

Was that the Korean Airlines plane that overran the runway a few months ago? Cebu has a nice airport. We flew from there to Puerto Princessa in Palawan on a little Philippine Airlines prop plane. A great flight and very good service.
David Hunn Time flies when you're having fun, I bet that three months has gone quickly. Any idea why the flags were at half mast where you were doing the touristy thing? Any idea what type of truck you will get on your return? If they had any sense they would round you up a new one in appreciation of the fact that they can send you anywhere they want to for nine months and don't have to get you home each week or so. It must make it a lot easier for them when working out loads.
