@@normabreazile5500As a catholic i have read the bible all my life. But sometimes listening to others point of view opens my mind another way of viewing scripture. Point is, always open your mind and heart or you will miss out. That's why we Catholics look to priests because they dedicated their lives to the word of God and all the theologies.
Also read the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist ! Fellow catholic who learns a lot from these guys!
Catholic Brother, look up the messianic movement. It started in the 1900’s Protestants who try to incorporate Judaism.
@@barrymckockinner9292I was raised Catholic and I misunderstood the Bible most of my life because of the leaders of the church. You have your reasons I'm sure.
It's similar to the overbearing Rabbinical laws, as Jesus rebutes. (Ironically Catholics copied the Pharisees in many ways, while maintaining their Roman polytheistic Pantheon).
We should not lean on our own understanding but we also are the church as Jesus said. All of his saints/sanctified (what Christians were called, anyone who follows Him). ❤
Much love for all the brothers and sisters in Christ. The closer we get to Jesus the more we get fed spiritually. Personally, there was a massive difference between reading my Bible, maybe a few verses or a chapter at a time... especially if it's only at church....and actually diving in. Understanding the context and entomology, beyond new versions like KJV and taking into account the bias in certain translations.
It's easier than ever to use an app to compare and contrast Bible versions! I learned that as a Christian, the holy days are still something we can (and I think should) observe and celebrate. Above non-Biblical. Though they don't require the same sacrifices thanks to Jesus.
Christmas as most know it was actually created BY the Roman Catholic Church, as they used Christianity to maintain their grasp on some of their imperialized domain. (Becoming a great political power through religion). They wanted to still have people able to celebrate Saturnalia on Dec 25th (Jesus was born during Sukkot most likely), and they even depict Jesus as Saturn and God as Jupiter vs the Biblical explanations, and earlier depictions of Jesus.
Many Catholics are simply unaware of these things. Of Easter/Ishtar vs Passover. Jesus' sacrifice IS the main part of Passover. We observe the old covenant of our distant Jewish relatives (we are ALL born under Noah's sons), and the new with Jesus.
But Catholic church is far from the only to do these things for sure. I'm happy you found this channel! I am a gentile but if I were to attend a church of any denomination I'd choose a Messainic Synagogue, they follow the Word. ❤ 📖 🕊️ A Karaite Messianic would be the BEST IMO because they don't confuse people or misdirect people with their own added rules vs the Bible.
The only difference religiously between a Messianic Jew and a Christian, is that the MJ was a Jewish person, now Jewish by descent and with Jewish traditions probably. But otherwise it's the same religion.
God bless. And remember to pray for guidance when you read the Word! It helps me! Look to your Bible about how to pray, and how much we are to rely on clergy, why we are not to title religious leaders as "father"....it's all in there.
Also looking into the Reformation with Martin Luther is great. He wasn't very successful, but he did try to take on the corruption of clergy using the Word to trick people into giving up their money and belongings to "enter heaven" etc.

When they introduced Judas, into the group, and he told his sister he was leaving for a long time. I was intrigued that it was made clear that he was the last of his line to carry the Iscariat name. Jut a wild point they made.

When we saw the trailer at ChosenCon, we actually cheered and cheered and Dallas showed it again. The emotions in that room were noticeable. I cannot wait to see this season on the big screen in theaters!!!
The song... the song alone makes me cry. I hope it is on the soundtrack to season four. I know the song from growing up in a Baptist Church where hymns were so important to me. They speak volumes and are often directly from Scripture as are many that you hear in The Chosen.

I have always wonderes about Judas since I was a child. What made him do what he did? What was his background? His childhood? It seemed he chose to follow Jesus, he was not Chosen. He couldn't have been evil always. I believe when he hangs himself, I will cry too for the hows and why? I will cry for Peter, too as he denies Christ. But he is human, he is filled with fear for his own life, what would I have done? My heart breaks for Peter when he comes to the realization of what he has done. Again, what would I have done? " Not me LORD." I'm unfortubately not sure.

I think the scene with Jesus alone in the field and the “fast” clips show John breaking his chains and I think Jesus is seeing him after he’s dead and free.
Sin was born from the deceiver, Satan, the angel who was so good at lying he deceived himself first. Thus when we sin, we partake of that same self-deception. The father of lies, lies to us and we willingly partake of the lie and the sin it gives birth to.

They show a lot of the physical miracles blind, deaf, dysfunctional limbs, back then did they have diabetes, heart disease, respiratory conditions, mental illnesses? The Bible talks about being possessed, but what about other diseases and conditions that can't be seen ?

I appreciate it being in theaters first because I don't have money to donate due to my cancer diagnosis and inability to work right now. The money they get from the theaters helps to find the future seasons and pay the actors, cameramen, wardrobe creators, seamstresses, music creators, musicians, location, prop creators, food, room and board for everyone on set, and many more people that have to be paid to make this show as great as Dallas makes it for us and we get to watch it for Free. I'm so grateful to GOD that I get to watch it for free as I barely have money to keep my lights on and water running in my house.
Good review, but you made a mistake that many make. Peter was not the first to declare Jesus as the Messiah or the Son of God. We see both said about him in John chapter one among other passages that took place before Matthew 16. The point of Peter's declaration is not Jesus identity, that had been established among His followers. Rather, it was the contrast. They were at Caesarea Phillippi, a center of paganism. Jesus, communicating as a rabbi would, asks them questions to get them thinking. He calls to mind the various identities that people have ascribed to Him. Then He gets them to think on Who they said He was. It wasn't about some sudden revelation of His identity, rather, it was about a contrast between the paganism they were near and the futility of it compared to Himself.
Correct me if I am wrong... Hades is where both the rich man and Lazareth were... And between Lazareth and the rich man was a great gulf, which cannot be crossed from either side... When Jesus died, He descended into hades to offer salvation to all the righteous people who died before his death on the cross; 1 Pet. 4:6, “…..for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God…..” Jesus went to hell but was resurrected; therefore he conquered death; 1 Cor.15:26, “the last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.” Because Jesus conquered death, he now holds the keys of death; Rev. 1:18, “I am He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” It seems hades was a waiting place for all the dead... And when Jesus went there, He took (obtained) the keys to hades and death...
My question: When the bible says, "Jesus set the captives free.", were the righteous then taken to paradise??? In Luke 23:42-43, To the thief on the cross, who said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”
Jesus must have been a long awaited and welcome sight for all of the righteous people, who were waiting for His arrival!!!
That's my understanding. The righteous dead went to be with the Lord and the wicked dead stayed in Hades/Sheol for they weren't not given eternal life but remained in eternal death.

Jews for Jesus is a specific organization of Jewish believers in Jesus. Messianic Jew is a general term for Jewish believes. Sam and Dr. Tom are actually both Gentiles who lead and serve in a Messianic congregation of Jewish and Gentile believers who worship together while maintaining distinction between Jew and Gentile.

I'm getting worried about how they will tell the story of the Crucifixion and Ressurrection of Our Lord. I hope they do not go against scripture showing Jesus descend to He'll for three days before Ressurrection. I joined the prayer app Hallow. Their Apostle Creed states Jesus went to He'll.
