@@conanhighwoods4304 Let me give you a explanation: Headcrabs (the crabby classic ones) are parasites that have this name because of their way to attack and because the look like a crab, they will walk around and jump on their victim head once he found it, this victim head will be basically open with their teeths to control their movements, later on, the headcrabs will rip their victims chest using their little arms. The host is still alive, and can feel pain but can't control his body, turning him into a poor zombie. In Half life 2, the combines (aliens who took control over humanity and slaved us), used shells with headcrabs inside as a biological weapon, they throw these shells at resistance humans bases, they even did some mutations to the crabs, so they can get more brutal. The fast headcrab creates this fast zombie and he rips off your skin, basically. The poison headcrab do not attack alone, he uses his host as a place to reproduce more crabs and his way to protect the host, is by throwing some crabs at the possible invader. Ravenholm as someone already said, is an brutal example of a old base from the resistance that was abandoned after constant attack of headcrab shells. The first thing you will find once you enter the old base, is the lower part of body held by a rope. This is just an warning to what you will find

Headcrabs (the crabby classic ones) are parasites that have this name because of their way to attack and because the look like a crab, they will walk around and jump on their victim head once he found it, this victim head will be basically open with their teeths to control their movements, later on, the headcrabs will rip their victims chest using their little arms. The host is still alive, and can feel pain but can't control his body, turning him into a poor zombie.
In Half life 2, the combines (aliens who took control over humanity and slaved us), used shells with headcrabs inside as a biological weapon, they throw these shells at resistance humans bases, they even did some mutations to the crabs, so they can get more brutal.
The fast headcrab creates this fast zombie and he rips off your skin, basically.
The poison headcrab do not attack alone, he uses his host as a place to reproduce more crabs and his way to protect the host, is by throwing some crabs at the possible invader.
Ravenholm as someone already said, is an brutal example of a old base from the resistance that was abandoned after constant attack of headcrab shells.
The first thing you will find once you enter the old base, is the lower part of body held by a rope.
This is just an warning to what you will find

I kind of wish they kept the “help god help...help me” backwards, it makes it a lot scarier and harder to imagine the pain
My guess is they flipped it somewhere in development because playtesters thought it was a little too intense and depressing.
