I play singleplayer because I'm sometimes really lonely, and it's kinda fun to survive, I always put my difficulty on hard because other difficulties are too easy, but everyone has an opinion.
Honestly I love singleplayer because it feels like a casual Project Zomboid experience to me ; Even on Hard it is still for the most part easy for me. I love seeing my base slowly progress as my storage fills up while i upgrade it more and more without having to worry about raiding. While on Multiplayer I have to constantly worry about players, getting a base set up, etc. My favorite maps to do this have the survival aspect more in focus, instead of PVP focused maps, Such as Yukon and Carpat, even though Carpat isn't all that great. I think what truly shines from singleplayer is the freedom of choice, like in Minecraft, where the player isn't forced down a path.
i love single player because im more of a PVE type of guy and its hard trying to find PVE severs and i like to deign my own base, and mods as well i like modded games. they could add new guns and new ammo and new melee weapons to the game you can easy go get a heartbreaker or a maplestrike from the car crashes or the military base or the bridge using the same guns can get old
Me too man it’s good to go on a pve server to unwind and scavenge, plus on hard loots a lot more scarce and zombies are on steroids so there is still plenty of challenges
@@pablomendoza4950 i agree but people like different things ok im just a type of person who loves PVE more then PVP i dont like to kill other players that much but i do like to raid tho not going to lie about that tho but people have there own thoughts and wishes so yea
I prefer playing singleplayer or if i play Multiplayer i only play on PvE, because Unturned basically turned into a PvP and a Base Raiding game rather than what the game was meant to be, a Zombie apocalypse game where you're supposed to survive against Zombies.
The only thing i enjoy in singleplayer is that i can build wherever i want to, In multiplayer (even in PVE servers) your base always gets either broken to half or destroyed every hour, its so irritating.. But what i also hate about singleplayer is that Im lonely.. building bases myself.. raiding bosses alone, it felt like you're the only one alive (yes i know too many grammar errors, im not good at english)
I prefer unturned singleplayer. Really like just building without having to worry about being griefed. And i honestly could care less about pvp. And now that i think about it, i prefer singleplayer games over multiplayer games. CSGO and apex legends are really only multiplayer games i play.
I play unturned since 2.0 and honestly, singleplayer never had anything really exciting. The new zombies are pretty nice, but what's the point if you're only in danger inside a town? How about making the zombies faster and stronger at night, like in Dying Light, and make them appear randomly outside of towns and near the player? How about making an electric zombie inspired by the electric boss zombie, make him do little damage to you, but be able to stagger the player and make him slower by shocking them. Making a screamer zombie, if you get seen by him, he will scream and alert a bunch of other zombies! Making a zombie that jumps in your vehicle and sticks with it, and slowly damages your car, so you need to get out and kill it. (that's actually kind of complex) Or having some kind of storm at night that would slowly contaminate you, so you have to wear a gas mask at certain times, and not only in areas. *Making a high risk but high reward scenario!* Making hunger an actual issue! Make food slowly get worse if it sits in your inventory for too long, that way you need to be constantly searching for food. And make seeds rot when they're not harvested for too long, so you don't have a infinite stash of food, always ready to be collected. Make craftable foods like pies and cooked meat, give bonuses to the player! Like more damage, stamina or some kind of nightvision, so it would be actually be worth crafting them! How about some smaller details? Like when shooting an arrow, instead of decreasing 5% everytime you shoot, make the reduced percentage random, so the arrow could instantly break on it's first shot. Rain makes you wet, and therefore you would get cold, so Yukon wouldn't be the only map that uses temperature. Make campfires go out with time, and make it go out even faster with rain. I could go on and on about simple changes that would make singleplayer AND multiplayer more fun, and add the feel that you're in a fucking apocalypse!
Sadly nelson is focusing on 4.0, so he most likelt wont adf these amazing ideas. I really like the idea of zombies going outside of towns and the screamer zombies

@ilikebacon Well, looks like it's being added in now. Also, I feel like Elver still falls under that spot, seeing how there are Cultists that chase with machetes at the dorms. Plus, the environment noise is amazing.
Problem I have with a lot of zombie survival games is that they don't have like a bandit npc roaming. This would make the game more fun because its like you are fighting a player but not an actual player so it's a little easier.
I play single player and load up the latest new map. To each their own, and for many people, I am sure they would agree with you. It could be cool to see some additional focus put into single player, but I can also deal with it as it. Many of your points in favor of multiplayer, for me, is predicated on the unlikelihood of finding decent people I want to actually spend time gaming with. Since 1999, the amount of times I've found a good server that isn't full of jerks and people acting like they're 5 (without being that young) for any form of game (FPS, RPG [all variants], etc) has been on the order of perhaps once every 3-5 years. Thanks, but I'll stick to co-op and single player. Sure, the zombies are...uhh...basically mannikins, but they're still more tolerable than the people I'm likely to find online. There are many ways to enjoy this game, even without other players. You can go about setting personal goals, such as speed running, kill counts, loot runs ("what do I get in X runs of Y map?", "which map has the best loot after 100 clears?", "100 days", etc), trying to steal steal every piece of loot in a no-kill run, or anything else you can think up would give you something interesting to do. At the end of the day, sandbox games are just that: Sandbox games. One could say that Minecraft becomes boring after a while on a single player world, too, but one need only look at how many people are still playing that way, even after over a decade has passed, to see the potential for many players. Sure, in Minecraft, the loot and world changes, and perhaps a few mobs or new things are added, but the overall gameplay loop is basically untouched. Yet, people have found all kinds of great things to do, from fully automating things to 100 days to speed running, there's no lack of things to do, so long as you think of ideas you enjoy. I believe the same is applicable to this game as well.

Survival games like raft, you can finish the game without even dying and still it will be fun. Minecraft... You can make food out of everything, you can just it raw meat for the whole game without thinking about your food bar. If people just don't have enough imagination to think a story to your ingame character and to everything that the game gives you, Maybe it's your problem, not the game's problem. Why is nobody talking about how you can build 3D blue prints for your base in multiplayer at no cost just turn on cheats and then start to construct a layout
I use single player when there's a new map and turn the zombie drops way up so I know what gear you can get from what location and what zombies, I also use single player to figure out base designs and locations ect. 7:06 while you were talking about the zombies coming up to your base i thought of 7 days to die a zombie game where every 7 days a horde comes to you and tries killing you, it gets harder as each 7 days pass, and an idea like that in unturned would be so good, and roaming zombies like once again in 7d2d they roam and you can find them in forests, unturned really needs a better zombie system
@@wafflecat7763if you would want a lan server just follow some tutorials and do exactly what they tell you and it should work. I followed unturned server tutorials and i had a free server wij my brother just watch it and make sure you have a good tutorial

I know this video is 3 years ago. but i play singleplayer, because setting up a server for you and your friends. SUCKS, why cant they just have a private server button?
i don't know what is the difference between the easy and normal difficulty, i just use the advanced config, i personally prefer to put the spawn chance on 0,500, yes this gives me tons of ammo, and the resources multiplier on 1,900, which gives me lots of metal, but to balance things, i put the zombie spawn on 0,750, and i raise the burner, acid etc chances, so basically i have tons of ammo but i cant just shoot everywhere, bc a horde would chase me, i think everyone has its own way of playing, i like to play on singleplayer bc i don't like to play with other people, and i like to kill lots of zombies and have tons of loot, and i also raise the resource multiplier bc i like to build my bases out of metal, and i dont have the time to grind for metal in the 1,000 multiplier
in easy zombies have less damage, ammo's it comes with full and the loot rarity chance is much more. in normal zombies have more damage and ammo's come with a little more full. the loot rarity chance is decreases something like that idk to much too
Me personally? I've got 1.1k hours on single player. It's just fun to grind, build a base, and listen to music for hours on end. I really like the quests as they add so much more, but yeah, I can get how it's not for everyone.
my goal in single player is mainly to just go kill zombies but with me not understanding how to create a challenge with the zombies it just got boring i want to have a harder time trying to kill them but i dont know how to use the settings to do that I would also like hordes that free roam in random directions and if like your shooting your gun they can hear that then roam to that place
When I was 9 years old, I discovered the Steam and the Unturned 3.0, and I played single player for 3 years, because this I known all the crafts and how to farm, and build bases
I usually play singleplayer to just mow things down to be honest, especially cause I am really bad and not many friends play Unturned or have a PC to play Unturned I also feel like NPC's that can attack the player aside from the cultists, like actual "surivors" out and about, like the scientists in rust but beefed up and just roam around
Its so hard to play with friends tho if you want to play with 1 FRIEND you have to make a whole server, have a good enught pc to run unturned AND THE WHOLE DEDICATED SERVER and then it doesnt even always work. ANDDDD it is insanely hard to setup the mods and such.
Me personally I havent played Multiplayer since 2018 because it's just to stressfull. I enjoy singelplayer way more because no Kos or people saying mean things
Unturned only has zombies in towns and locations because of Unity limitations from when it was originally made, or at least, issues with optimization. When you make a map and place objects and whatnot, you have to bake a navigation sheet for the zombies at every location to define where they're able to travel, and it does a very LONG calculation where it takes into account every single object in the zone's navigation mesh and decides how they should all interact with each other. If you're not running Unturned on very good hardware, this calculation can easily take upwards of 10 minutes for one location. For larger areas, it can straight up crash the game. I don't think this is as much of an issue as it used to be on the Unity side of things now that Unturned has moved to new versions of Unity since the old days, but it remains an issue due to bad optimization. I can't remember if Unturned 2.0 had this same issue, but I would suspect it didn't, purely due to the fact that it only had a single map and no proper level editor, so Nelson wouldn't have to constantly recalculate land navmeshes for regions.
I play single player on arid or any other maps with big progression that I can enjoy playing with out being overpowered few hours in like Serrano maps with out progression
I play on my own server so I can set the rules but it will technically be opened up to people eventually. It’ll be PvE though except for three days outta the week. People will have time to build up and then raid each other or fight PvP. I’m personally not a huge PvP fan but I still like the thrill and risk that comes with it.
I wish there was a mod that made so a giant horde of zombies would spawn and come towards you every night. That would give players an actual reason to make a base and manage resources. A mod that added human enemies like scarvengers or bandits also wouldn't be a bad idea.
I think single player is nice because you aren't always fearing of people reading your base while you are asleep or having people kill you from a hill and to lose legit all your stuff you might have spent a long time getting.
Steam says you can't add friends you need to buys something for like $1 so I always played unturned by my self and i don't have a good computer I have a really old PC so it sucks for me I just get lonely
unturned is kinda more fun if you don't feel like getting jumpscared as much and want to be able to play easier if your not into major horror games, which is why its (probably) supposed to be not that hard, and also kind of easy too, which is why its fun for some people, if you wanted a game where its hard and more average then there is other games to play.
I just think singleplayer is a really chill experience, like I play CS:GO most of the time so when that gets frustrating I find it very relaxing to mow down some green pixels and try to fully loot every location on the map including deadzones (which I guess is the closest you can get to "beating" unturned).
I play singleplayer since I have my own proper house thing, self sky city thing, doing videos where it possible to do in single play, having fun with it when no server is fun or a favorite server available at moment. Mostly everyone said they were scared of unturned when 1st playing, many plays singleplayer or multiplayer as 1st gameplay. It kinda weird for someone new and just play multillayer without experiencing its lore, survival, and singleplay things
The only make sense reason that i can think of for the whole building dont get destroyed things i thinked its because the military died and they dont have time to send airforces so nothing get destroy.
well i dont really like being killed by every other player whos better than me and since i cant just play with one other person then single player is the best thing i have
I hope they make the zombies like the zombies from days gone that game was fun to play trough couse the zombies roamed around in BIG hordes and it was an actual challange to take them out. i made a whole compound and want them to attack me but theyre dumb, they just stand there and don't do anything and theyre only in towns and cities. those zombies bore me and make me want to play something other than unturned.
This is such a shame. If someone actually created a mod to make mods or AI factions akin to Stalker Anomaly, it would make this the greatest F2P game ever.
I can never find a good server and when I do if it's pvp I have to deal with no lifers who play 16 hours a day and if it's a pve it ends up just getting shutdown
2:51 nice excuse. If you even want a real challenge there is an button called "Advanced" you know? which you can Multiply the zombie spawning or even disabling the "Can Stun" thing which when you hit the zombies with anything they dont stun like in the video.

You can make food out of everything, you can just it raw meat for the whole game without thinking about your food bar. If people just don't have enough imagination to think a story to your ingame character and to everything that the game gives you, Maybe it's your problem, not the game's problem. I know there are a lot of really boring games, but aren't the games made for different people? Everyone plays what they like. People work so hard to complete the level in osu or geometry dash and i can't even imagine my self doing that cuz it's pointless for me. I won't feel anything after doing this. Yep that's it bye this is a very long commenetmcoenf
I have so many errors in sentences
I do like that you had ideas to fix single player instead of just complaining
PVE is my fave. You and your friends against zombies. And less griefers.
why not just have private servers that you can play with friends for free? I always wanted to do that
You can it’s just so fucking hard that everyone would rather pay for one.
@@wafflecat7763 F
@@wafflecat7763if you would want a lan server just follow some tutorials and do exactly what they tell you and it should work. I followed unturned server tutorials and i had a free server wij my brother just watch it and make sure you have a good tutorial
I would like see a campaign were you say in Ireland map and you can side with one of the factions and like take the island and wipe out the zombies and other factions that would be cool and have what project zomboid the way the zombies act in that game
The only problem is that making a server for both you and for friends is really hard, i attempted to do it about 3 times already
I know this video is 3 years ago. but i play singleplayer, because setting up a server for you and your friends. SUCKS, why cant they just have a private server button?
I just love to 100% all the new maps with lore and npcs
The single player zombies are brutal
I wish I had a friend like this to make RUclips videos
you have convinced me to play singleplayer and multiplayer
i have no clue why
I would like to announce that from today onwards I shall no longer by in any mrspaml videos.
Why brad
Why
D: why?
I wish they could make joining friends in servers much easier. or making your own server dedicated for friends much more better
i don't know what is the difference between the easy and normal difficulty, i just use the advanced config, i personally prefer to put the spawn chance on 0,500, yes this gives me tons of ammo, and the resources multiplier on 1,900, which gives me lots of metal, but to balance things, i put the zombie spawn on 0,750, and i raise the burner, acid etc chances, so basically i have tons of ammo but i cant just shoot everywhere, bc a horde would chase me, i think everyone has its own way of playing, i like to play on singleplayer bc i don't like to play with other people, and i like to kill lots of zombies and have tons of loot, and i also raise the resource multiplier bc i like to build my bases out of metal, and i dont have the time to grind for metal in the 1,000 multiplier
in easy zombies have less damage, ammo's it comes with full and the loot rarity chance is much more.
in normal zombies have more damage and ammo's come with a little more full. the loot rarity chance is decreases something like that idk to much too
Me personally? I've got 1.1k hours on single player. It's just fun to grind, build a base, and listen to music for hours on end. I really like the quests as they add so much more, but yeah, I can get how it's not for everyone.
I play singleplayer exclusively because I do not enjoy game like these when they’re only multiplayer focused
my goal in single player is mainly to just go kill zombies but with me not understanding how to create a challenge with the zombies it just got boring i want to have a harder time trying to kill them but i dont know how to use the settings to do that I would also like hordes that free roam in random directions and if like your shooting your gun they can hear that then roam to that place
When I was 9 years old, I discovered the Steam and the Unturned 3.0, and I played single player for 3 years, because this I known all the crafts and how to farm, and build bases
When I play single player it’s only because I want to just snipe some zombies
I usually play singleplayer to just mow things down to be honest, especially cause I am really bad and not many friends play Unturned or have a PC to play Unturned
I also feel like NPC's that can attack the player aside from the cultists, like actual "surivors" out and about, like the scientists in rust but beefed up and just roam around
Its so hard to play with friends tho if you want to play with 1 FRIEND you have to make a whole server, have a good enught pc to run unturned AND THE WHOLE DEDICATED SERVER and then it doesnt even always work. ANDDDD it is insanely hard to setup the mods and such.
Maybe there be cooperative single player.
Like it’s online but private and working together.
One thing I'd like for it to include is just play with friends as well as singleplayer
Me personally I havent played Multiplayer since 2018 because it's just to stressfull. I enjoy singelplayer way more because no Kos or people saying mean things
What's Kos?
@@roskcity Kill On Sight
I can't remember if Unturned 2.0 had this same issue, but I would suspect it didn't, purely due to the fact that it only had a single map and no proper level editor, so Nelson wouldn't have to constantly recalculate land navmeshes for regions.
bro i have no friends ....
As an achievement hunter, I love unturned singleplayer. It allows me to get achievements faster with no risk
In single player I can build in peace. I can also log on the next day and not have a giant hole blown into my base
I love singleplayer because sometimes it's just fun to run around looting and killing zombies, and it's sooooo relaxing
Fr and there IS No hordes in the Game or what then i think i don't buy it 😞
I don't play on servers because I'm a beginner and I want to become good at the game before toxic people kill me every single time
I think single player is nice because you aren't always fearing of people reading your base while you are asleep or having people kill you from a hill and to lose legit all your stuff you might have spent a long time getting.
Steam says you can't add friends you need to buys something for like $1 so I always played unturned by my self and i don't have a good computer I have a really old PC so it sucks for me I just get lonely
i have no friends, that's why
unturned is kinda more fun if you don't feel like getting jumpscared as much and want to be able to play easier if your not into major horror games, which is why its (probably) supposed to be not that hard, and also kind of easy too, which is why its fun for some people, if you wanted a game where its hard and more average then there is other games to play.
I like to play workshop and curated maps on singelplayer sometimes. Just chill out and explore
It kinda weird for someone new and just play multillayer without experiencing its lore, survival, and singleplay things
the only two ways im ever going to play this game in are Singleplayer or Private Server with only friends
Can you do a tutorial on how to play with friends?
i would need tutorial on how to make friends first
What's the gun that your using with the 100 bullets 🤔
The thumbnail suggests that you don’t think the menu should exist.
Did u just mention deadzone roblox !? The nostalgia
The only make sense reason that i can think of for the whole building dont get destroyed things i thinked its because the military died and they dont have time to send airforces so nothing get destroy.
well i dont really like being killed by every other player whos better than me and since i cant just play with one other person then single player is the best thing i have
Well i have to worry about getting friends i can play with first.
I like eating glue in single player
Same. Wait your name do you really...
i dont have friends and i dont have any pvp skill on unturned so singleplayer is cool for me
aww
Honestly I just use the dedicated server steam tool to player single player with friends it's so fun to dick around with a server all to yourself
It’s a zombie game so I don’t want to deal with get killed at range commonly
I play unturned singleplayer because battle eye just broke and won’t download on my pc so I can’t join multiplayer
The thing tho is how u can play whit friends i have searched everywhere but the thing tho was that i had to download something to make a server
Also a feature were you can join a friend's single player or be invited but some random can't just join
2:51 nice excuse. If you even want a real challenge there is an button called "Advanced" you know? which you can Multiply the zombie spawning or even disabling the "Can Stun" thing which when you hit the zombies with anything they dont stun like in the video.
Single player and multiplayer Its still the same but multiplayer Is more fun but single player Its just Minecraft mod
i CANT MAKE FRIENDS JOIN
Im 2 years latw but thata because you gotta make a dedicated server
Number one reason:
You are lonely
True
things like uh i dunno horde beacons are still nice for single player
