There is something called language barrier. Why would most people will listen to a singer if they don't understand the language. He sings mostly in hindi language and less that 40% Indians speak hindi language .
Total people speak hindi in the world is around 600M . But english speakers are around 1.4 B. That's why there are mostly english artists on the top.

X was and still is my favorite artist. That guy literally died at the age I am right now and that’s craaaazyyyyy to me how much he succeeded from nothing and also how so many people hated that teenager so much. He had so much potential.
I stopped being a fan after his death. He was my favorite artist and I new about him before he dropped look at me and became popular. It was just hard for me as a fan to accept the new wave of people spamming LLJ 🕊 like they were always his number one fans even though x’s numbers were nothing compared to what they were after his death. And as talented and versatile as x was, most of his music is terribly mixed and raw, especially every release after his death.
I loved him for a long time and his songs were the only ones I listened to.. and then he died on my birthday in 2018. I decided to stop listening after that because I didn’t want to become heavily sad. So then I got into bts and they are my happiness.
