David Garrick lived 1716 to 1779. He was an English playwright, theatre producer and played the title role in Shakespeare’s Richard III plus other roles. He is interred in Poet’s Corner in Westminster Abbey. He is only 5ft 4! The universal photo art company were an American photographic company and were active between 1860s until 1910 when the business was dissolved. The founder was Jesse Albert Graves and his son was Carlton Harlow Graves and the company was founded in Pennsylvania. The timing thingy is called a metronome

That was fun till the angry man turned up at the door! I thought Bear was gonna get caught running downstairs. A metronome is the tick tocky thing that keeps time but not a clock. The photo box contraption was really cool and in great condition, never saw that before. Loved the 80s stuff, to bad you didn’t have more time. That textured wallpaper or wall was really beautiful, and the glass doors. So many gems not enough time!

This had me on the edge of my seat at times. Especially with the banging on the door.
I'm surprised you didn't make more of the bed that seemed to have crisp, clean, freshly ironed sheets on it.
You have to wonder how a house gets abandoned like that. You could understand it if it clearly just belonged to an elderly person who had died but with all the 'teenage' stuff.... Who? Why? Would love to know the history of that one.

I'm pretty sure your unexpected visitor showed up just as the two of you headed upstairs. As Matt is talking to Andy at the base of the stairs you see a light go across the front door, from the left to the right, on the outside. That had to be the guy because Matt said the front of the house had large bushes that block the road. I don't know how Matt didn't see the light, he was turned toward the front door!

That tick tocky thing is a metronome. Bear was really interested in some nooks and crannies in there it seems, can't wait to see his video. I'm guessing the basement was a downstairs flat/apt. Maybe they rented it out... I cannot believe how FAST you shut that light off when you heard the bang. So glad you didn't get caught. Too bad you felt rushed after that knocking!

I used Google Lens to take a picture of it and the big wooden thing you looked into is called a 'desktop stereoscope' and as you guessed they are used to create an illusion of 3D for pictures. I use the app often myself and I'd suggest trying the app out while you explore these houses as you can quickly find names, dates and prices of things that you're curious of 👍

Wow....what an amazing explore. Can't work it out though, seemed like a old couples house with loads of knicknacs, but then the 80s bedrooms through me off, unless that house has been empty since late 80s early 90s. Definitely as a grandchild they would of loved going there, tons of things to play with and do. Oh an the 'tick tock' thing you was trying to remember is called a metronome used for timing in musical performances.

storing wine, veggies from garden or coal [when people use to use coal]

So curious what was in that door that was situated up above the stairway with the window beside it. Would have had to put on ladder on the stairs, leaning just under where the mysterious cupboard's doors would have swung out . Also, in the first basementy room you were looking at (with the stained glass in the doors), there were a bunch of doored cupboards in the wall by the fireplace as well as that thing with the holes in the floor under the bench (that you thought was for air circulation)... It look like the holes where to access a hidey-hole... Cuz it look like a door in the floor. Like a cut-out that would have looked it up.
In the room with all the junk like the squidgy pic of the bride and groom, it look like there was a crude ladder that might have lead to yet another possible cupboard. Too bad the angry knocker came to the door, force-hastening the explore. 😠
Maybe it was the Damien kid all grown up. Lol
