Riv, keep your heel one the ground on the break side. You tilt your foot to the right side when you want to use the gas, shift back over fully on the break when you want to stop. I did that and it helped me w foot placement.

Once I got an automatic again, I immediately went back to what was comfortable. I definitely see the appeal of a manual. It's a more intimate *pause* driving experience.
