@@JordanU I know so happy it works and once you replace the motif you can use it unaltered without worrying about it it will be safe but for now with supervision it’s good
FWIW, I finally found out the original trade name for those sintered bronze bushings that are a regular part of your videos. The original name was Oilite. They were invented in the md-1930's by Chrysler Corporation. Originally, as I recall, the sintered Oilite bearing is put under a vacuum in a chamber, oil is added to the chamber, the bearings lowered into the oil, and the vacuum is replaced by atmospheric pressure which pushed the oil into the bearing. As the bearing gets hot from use, it releases oil. When it cools down, it takes it back. But, because oil does get lost, there are felt pieces on the outside, soaked in oil, to replenish the bearing.
Good job lubricating and maintenance of this dehumidifier fan motor it definitely works well after a catastrophic failure I can't wait to see this dehumidifier used in the kitchen soon bro
I’m surprised that the fan motor actually decided to come apart and let you at least get it working again. Looks like it’s running as good as it used to and as long as the fan is running that’s good enough for now. It sad to see something like this fall into such a bad state. But it’s nice to see something like this be returned to service after some proper service that it needed. Hopefully this will be fixed permanently here soon and be put into active service for years to come.
All of that could have been avoided with some oil from the start, but people just ignore issues and keep running them until they stop, and then act all surprised when the repair bill is high after they destroyed it.
Seems like the kennore units were made by whirlpool up until the early 2000s before LG became the primary manufacturer in the early to mid 2000s for Kenmore. Somewhere by 2006 they switched to Electrolux (Frigidaire). Seems like however the kenmore name is beginning to reappear again recently as I saw a couple of fridges being sold under the name brand again at Target out of all places. Likely this is happening since sears is all but gone now.
@@JordanU Jordan, there are spambots on each and every video of yours. These spambots come in the form of comments. These comments are unfortunately posted by automatic bots. Each bot shares the same inappropriate profile photo, but every time, a different username. Me too bro I really didn't think I was going to be able to salvage this one.

Me too.
Nothing is like fixing something a decade old that lasts forever, unlike the junk made today!
Indeed. This quite possibly will run like this for a very long time.
I bet you can source a motor for that from an exhaust fan of some kind, even some bathroom exhaust fans.
I was thinking a stove range fan may be the right size, I know those are at least readily available.
Never seen a motor with gray windings.
Varnish comes in a variety of colors.

True.
Oh and that dehumidifier, since kenmore products manufactured by LG was that one also manufactured by LG?
Kenmore was largely made by Whirlpool.
@@JordanUoh ok got it
