@theplmotivationofficial although now he's becoming a little politically aligned, with he Congress side. That's why I stopped watching his videos. I saw a video where he was praising Gandhi's way of ahimsa and praising it, saying that Indian society was superstitious and basically indirectly saying Indians were just not capable of fighting back. This offended me very much because what was the 1857 rebellion then? A party? My own ancestors (from paternal side) were involved in this war and we still have the iron barrel of the gun he used(it's mentioned on the gun's barrel that the gun was produced in 1851). He was basically saying that Gandhi was some kind of God-figure for us, pulling us out of superstitions and "civilising us". Funny thing is, the colonial British authorities thought along the very same line about us. Also, how can Gandhi be a great man when he slept naked at the age of 70 with his own underage grand niece? My family takes massive pride in the fact that my ancestors took part in the 1st battle for independence in 1857 and we have a long running tradition of joining the military due to this. My grandpa was in the army, my dad in the railway protection force and I too am preparing for NDA. That statement really offended me and that's what made me stop watching his videos. I understand and it's perfectly OK to be politically aligned but the reason I used to watch him was due to his political non-alignment and unaffiliation. But as we say, funding can change anyone's mentality. He got his funding and he's behaving according to his contract, and that's ok

3:59 So I have to point this Anyone who says praying will get you marks is a fool , Hindu gods atleast never said that they can get you marks if you pray them So turning into a atheist just because god didnt get you good or bad marks is wrong This guy questions about religion in his childhood which is good But he got the wrong answers The problem I have atheist is that instead of actually reading texts like gita and vedas they will just judge the book by its cover People have interpretation to religious stuff and most of them are wrong So listening to people instead of actually studying about it and ignoring the philosophical knowledge it has provided is wrong I am saying Atheist only ask about where is the scientific study about god but wouldn't bother actually studying the texts that have been provided They will just be like "Oh I got marks without praying means everyone praying is a fool because praying doesnt effect results" And anyone who is praying for results is a fool anyway Prayer is done only to find hope and peace
Okay so according to you for someone to become an atheist they must read all the religious texts of your religion? Okay fine, have you read the religious texts of Mormonism? Or have you read religious texts of Judaism? If not then how can you believe in Hinduism even though you have never studied these religions? I would say if you are gonna set a criteria that people should become literal scholars before leaving your religion then you should keep the similar criteria for yourself otherwise you are just being a hypocrite
@@ErenYeager-me4em Brother first of all TATAKAE Team Eren , even in death , even after death And now let me get to my point I was just trying to say that many atheists don't actually bother reading anything related to any religions or what they teach ,they will just shit on them just because of the fact that there is no evidence for god Nor will they ever put light on the philosophical and social knowledge it provides. Another thing that I said was that this person said that I prayed and got good marks and didn't pray still got good marks So people around him told him that prayer effects results This idea is complete bullshit No god ever said that praying alone will bring you success As I mentioned that he got good questions but got the wrong answers for them This could also be a reason why he turned into a atheist because society taught him wrong stuff about religion and then he didn't even care to rectify his knowledge by reading some good books like Gita He didn't like praying before doing everything What he didn't realise that no god asked him to do that Its just the principal who liked to do it I am not blaming him completely I am also blaming theist for misguiding people and acting all superior while being completely wrong

@@rudrakshsharma7726 First of all nice to see another fellow aot fan(TATAKAE BROTHER) and as for your statement so look what am basically saying is that you are using a one-sided analogy like you expect atheists to have a good reason before turning from theist to atheist but then you gotta apply the same logic on theists i.e how many percentage of theists do you think are theists due to reasonable reasons? Most of them are theists using a similar analogy of "prayer didn't work so no god" i.e they believe in God cause that's just how they have been brought up most of them haven't even studied their own religion so how can you ask atheists to give a concrete reason to be an atheist but not ask theists why did they turn theist and to give a concrete reason? I don't think that abstaining from religious ceremonies on principle is a position I support. Even if you reject the metaphysical claims of a ceremony, it is still a meaningful social ritual with symbolic significance and psychological effect. As if to prove this, you immediately participate in a fist-bump, a ritual that clearly does not serve a purpose in communicating your ideas in an interview, yet symbolically demonstrates friendship or agreement, with the psychological effect of putting a smile on your lips.
Would calling this rubbish be disrespectful, by RUclips definition? What excuses do we come up with to justify superstition. Equating first-pump with religious rituals is like equating singing with chanting. Singing/music was there even before religions existed. One is natural human behaviour, the other is human created rubbish.
@@myhonestcomments You probably need to understand epsitemological perspective of what symbolism, myth and religiosity is then, believing in myth of transhumanism and progress is also a myth probably you need to read thinkers like John n gray to understand what is being talked about without invoking erroneous notion of false equivalency and you are creating a dichotomisation between human and natural realm of being as if two are different lol so you are telling me that our propensity to deconstruct nature and science is also unnatural ? Typical panglossian, supercilicious goobledegook.
@@myhonestcomments I'm not justifying superstitions, I'm making a statement about Narendra's abstention from religious ceremonies, such as a funeral for his parent at about 1:11:00 . A religious ceremony usually comes with some sort of metaphysical claim, such as reincarnation or ascension to heaven for funerals, but you can still participate in a funeral as a ritual without believing in the religious component. Humans participate in many secular rituals, such as shaking hands, that don't include religious commitments. These rituals have psychological and social effects that go beyond the simple acknowledgement of a fact such as someone being present in the case of shaking hands. Narendra claims that his abstention from religious ceremonies is based on rational choices, by which he means his rejection of religious belief, but one can still participate without believing, which I think is a rational choice. I don't think there is good evidence that singing predated religion, and I don't think you have a consistent definition of the natural. If singing is a natural human behavior, why isn't religion? I don't think we have ever discovered an indigenous society that doesn't have superstitious beliefs. These societies generally don't make a distinction between empirical and non-empirical beliefs. Even the Pirahã, often cited as a very empirically-minded group of hunter-gatherers, believe in spirits.
@@myhonestcommentsIt makes perfect sense to me. What's the rational purpose of a fist bump? It is neither a logical means to a defined end nor an act meant to achieve something. Aren't people who fist bump irrational in the same way that people who perform religious ceremonies are irrational?
@@Viper60589 You are right to a certain extent. But it is the underlying belief and reason for practice persistent in religious rituals which are the basis of criticism, not the ritual itself. For example, people who fist bump know that it has no other practical value or sound purpose than to show solidarity/friendship. But people who pray/engage in religious activity do so often due to a shared underlying belief that what they are doing serves a greater purpose, Which is irrational. It is this lack of awareness in these rituals. Besides, if the only real purpose is social bonding, then there are probably a bajillion different ways to do so. Personally, I don’t have a problem with as much as standing up for prayer, or joining hands, or bowing my heads if my friends or kin like it. But I know inside myself that it is rubbish.
I think Pranav, you need to prepare questions better and ask them confidently. Podcast didn't feel attention grabbing and questions were generic. Be more confident bro. You're doing a great job and I want you to do better.

So now, I've decided to become a neuroscientist and use my math skills to do research on Neuroscience as it's a very under-researched area of the medical field due to the application of quantum mechanics(which medical students are incapable of solving). I'm highly impressed by your work. I'm extremely concerned about technological advancements and nourishing the next generation of students with curiosity. I would like to collaborate with you(to make high quality educational science & math videos) once I become financially independent. I just told you this in advanced, else I'm excited to get your response and I'll be back after a few years asking you to approve my proposal of collaboration with you.
Have a great day ahead!
Thank you :)

Acharya prashant is way more intelligent than we think he is.
I have observed this.
Glad to see Narendra Sir in your podcast.
Wow, in depth conversation. Good motivation.

Hi Pranav, do you think Theism and Rationalism are opposite concept to each other ? What if I am theist and see things rationally and ethically ?
How can you believe in god (which has no evidence of existence, and enough evidence to prove its made up by humans) and still say you are a rationalist?
It's not necessary that Theism is not rational, it's how theism is promoted and what it sells to the people, and most theist don't question it and bring it to the mainstream, Yell out that it's flawed etc etc etc.

Loved the interview! Narendra Nayak comes across as a very honest and upright man. As much as Pranav tried, he steered away from politics concentrated on rational thinking, and encouraged a strong anti-superstitious lifestyle. Religion should be limited to teaching morality and for everything else, we need rational thinking in our lives.
True. Also, morality can be perfectly taught without religious bigotry. So religion is basically useless.
Can you give one example of morality which can be taught by religion?
@@A4Aqua The concept of Karma or even the culture of "respecting elders/teachers" immortalized by the famous chant "Guru Brahma Guru Vishnu..."etc etc ... Many of the societal behavioral aspects have religious/cultural background.

So I have to point this
Anyone who says praying will get you marks is a fool , Hindu gods atleast never said that they can get you marks if you pray them
So turning into a atheist just because god didnt get you good or bad marks is wrong
This guy questions about religion in his childhood which is good
But he got the wrong answers
The problem I have atheist is that instead of actually reading texts like gita and vedas they will just judge the book by its cover
People have interpretation to religious stuff and most of them are wrong
So listening to people instead of actually studying about it and ignoring the philosophical knowledge it has provided is wrong
I am saying
Atheist only ask about where is the scientific study about god but wouldn't bother actually studying the texts that have been provided
They will just be like "Oh I got marks without praying means everyone praying is a fool because praying doesnt effect results"
And anyone who is praying for results is a fool anyway
Prayer is done only to find hope and peace
Okay so according to you for someone to become an atheist they must read all the religious texts of your religion? Okay fine, have you read the religious texts of Mormonism? Or have you read religious texts of Judaism? If not then how can you believe in Hinduism even though you have never studied these religions? I would say if you are gonna set a criteria that people should become literal scholars before leaving your religion then you should keep the similar criteria for yourself otherwise you are just being a hypocrite
@@ErenYeager-me4em Brother first of all
TATAKAE
Team Eren , even in death , even after death
And now let me get to my point
I was just trying to say that many atheists don't actually bother reading anything related to any religions or what they teach ,they will just shit on them just because of the fact that there is no evidence for god
Nor will they ever put light on the philosophical and social knowledge it provides.
Another thing that I said was that this person said that I prayed and got good marks and didn't pray still got good marks
So people around him told him that prayer effects results
This idea is complete bullshit
No god ever said that praying alone will bring you success
As I mentioned that he got good questions but got the wrong answers for them
This could also be a reason why he turned into a atheist because society taught him wrong stuff about religion and then he didn't even care to rectify his knowledge by reading some good books like Gita
He didn't like praying before doing everything
What he didn't realise that no god asked him to do that
Its just the principal who liked to do it
I am not blaming him completely
I am also blaming theist for misguiding people and acting all superior while being completely wrong
@@ErenYeager-me4em and yeah I have basic knowledge of abrahamic religions
My statement regarding why he didn't read any books
Was to make the point that one shouldn't give up on something so easily and should keep looking for answers
My personal opinion: None of them are required to give a concrete reason anybody can be an atheist or theist
Ravi shankae was also accused as master mind of these murders right
I want to know one thing if everyone become atheist and stop believing in religion
