All birds do.
Lots of animals puff up, even humans lol look big, predators run away, sometimes..
In fact as soon as you see your bird get nervous or starts to puff up look around for animals of prey in the sky or something nearby that is frightening them and step away. You're bird can be extremely and permanently traumatized if you let them get afraid all the time and you don't get them away from the cause of the problem. Just as your pets watch out for you you should watch out for them and if they pop up because they're too close to another animal take a few steps back until they calm down and stop acting anxious.
@JoAnne Denison possibly for a parrot, but not an actual bird of prey like this owl. They're meant to attack other animals, not be afraid of them.
@@floridacracker_ owls are extremely intelligent. You will notice they sit in the top of the trees because of bird feels safer when they are higher up. And owls like any other bird should be respected by the owner. And you should be aware of their body language. When a bird is afraid they will puff up and they will also ping their eyes. Now owls cannot ping their eyes but other birds can. If you are the owner or guardian of a bird you have the duty and obligation to make sure that they feel safe and secure.

I don't think the owl and the camel will ever get along 😂. The owl looks intimidating to the camel and the camel intimidating to the owl. Amazing how Bagoy puffs himself up to appear larger than he really is. Cheers from South Africa Chandler. Great video. I would love to see Bagoly ride around on Camillo’s (what is the spelling of his name?) back…….that would be so cool! I am looking forward to seeing the bigger enclosures, just to see what they will look like and how the animals will react. Your animals are all very well taken care of and everyone looks great! Based on my years of watching snake Discovery I can tell that most of the eggs in that group from the Mamba definitely look sluggy but some of them on like I'm not sure but I would candle them or just as Emily says to incubate till there's no debate

The zoo I volunteered at had a great horned owl who was angrier that the owl here. But, fluffing feathers and hissing, definitely.

I have always loved reptiles, and I've been watching your videos for almost a year now. You had inspired me to act on my passion for reptiles, and I had recently gotten my first snake december last year. He's only a small children python but I had gotten him when he was only 6 weeks old, and now I am looking into owning more non-venomous snakes. Possibly in the future, some venmous snakes. Although I may never be able to own cobras, vipers or any exotic venomous creature due to Australia's biosecurity, I am quite excited at the mere thought of being able to work with these amazing creatures in the future.

I love Pepe and Skittles they are my favorite crazy snakes and i so enjoy seeing them. They are high strung and always trying to eat your face even just being anywhere close to their cage they already seeing if the warnings. ❤

I recall watching an episode recently thinking I wish this guy would tone it down a bit with the antics and now after turning into your channel for a bit I'm thinking that I was hating on you for your enthusiasm for what you do and further more I went into a deep dive of your history and I realized that while I was having a good time and getting hi and enjoying life you've been putting in work and and devoting your life to your work. The venomous box might still have a new smell and she wouldn' like it. You can put soil or moss in it to give it an earthy smell, you don't have to leave it in there, just long enough to help the new smell disappear.

I wish you had the money to fence off your lake with a chainlink fence all the way around it to where you could put a few crocodiles in it. Maybe make it the home for the Cuban croc’s. Maybe even just a section. That way you can secure it enough where a section of the pond has them in it, while the rest is for nature or even you could swim in it.

I can't wait for the day Bagoly(idk?) and Camello are friendly enough that he can sit on his back. Would be so cool to see a camel walking around with an owl perched on its back.
You know if you want to introduce an owl to a camel the first step is to get a good pet psychic. The second way to introduce a bird into something that it is not happy with whether it's fear or aggression, you walk up to the other animal as close as you can get without the animal puffing up. If your bird puffs up take a few steps back until they relax. And then the next day you do the same thing until you are next to the new animal without any puff-ups. Once your bird puffs up you have to take a few steps back and you have to be really really patient and wait until they're completely calm and relax then you can take a few steps forward. However those two may never get along and you have to be prepared for that. Which means you're not going to be able to put the owl enclosure next to the camel. Anyone who adopts an animal a new animal into the home should be aware that there may be conflicts and they may never get along so make sure you have plenty of space in your yard or your home or wherever you intend to have them live. Pet psychics can really help with the process and shorten it, but a lot of people don't believe in that so it'll take you a lot longer
