    I grew up with cloth diapers. I don't like when others think they know about how to raise your kids better than you. Great video. TFS 🥰👼👍

    I use cloth drapers for all three of my children. Never stripped them, didn't know I should. I used Dreft detergent. It's excellent for washing children's clothing

    I like cloth diapers. But you have to be disciplined to deal with them correctly. (Many people don’t want any extra steps. They want fast and easy) you have this organized and a systematic . Great job!

      This is very true. You have to find your system and be really regimented about it in order to be successful!

    Good video.. You could teach a graduate level in organizational management. We are in our 70's and used cloth diapers. Worked fine.

    So exciting, getting ready for new baby. I feel the same way about baby clothes. They grow out of them so fast that second hand stores are the way to go. They are just like new anyway.We all grew up wearing cloth diapers and we all survived. The homemade soap is probably better for your skin anyway. You go girl.A job well done!

    I cloth diapered as well. My children were born in the 90’s. I sewed up my own fitted diapers as there were not too many choices out there for purchase. There are so many options now.

    Used cloth nappies as well had 9 children and no issues. I agree you don’t need a lot of clothes as you are washing nearly everyday so you just do a load of nappies ( called that in Australia) no big deal. We were also on a tight budget and still now retired but enjoy your videos as brings back many memories ,you are doing a great job with your family and understand your ways with a big family. 👏👏

    My little sister had an allergic reaction to disposable diapers, so we had to use cloth diapers...it was not fun for me bc i had to wash them as a young child. However, if it help my sis not to develop a rash...I'd be more than happy to do it fpr her!!! But as a young girl it was tough. My mom didn't explain the cons of the diaper rash so i was selfish. Ugh if only she sat me down to tell me. So i highly recommend the pros & cons on any things that come up.

    I got almost everything second hand for my baby, even the stand by me cot and the pram which I got for 30 pounds each. The only things he is not getting second hand are the cloth diapers (although the inserts were all second hand) and the set of drawers for his clothes which was given to me by my mum. I found that second hand staff for babies are really easy to get in the UK at least.

    I used to save the old worn-out diaper covers for summer. There would be more air flow so less heat rash.

    Oh how I feel such sadness when people CHOOSE to watch a video and feel the need to insert their opinions as though they are the voice of authority. I grew up in a family with 9 children…yes 9….and there was no such thing as a disposable diaper in those days. As I choose to watch different folks it’s for entertainment and enlightenment not to insert my opinion. I have shared my thoughts from time to time but not with the expectation of changing someone’s opinion. I also feel such sadness that so many vloggers need to justify their life decisions for the subscribers. Here is when I usually insert my thoughts…you will NOT change anyone’s mind no matter how much you justify. So live your life and make your vlogs knowing that most all of your subscribers will stick with you no matter as long as the vlogger stays true to their core values. We will NEVER always agree with every thought or choice but God didn’t make us with cookie cutters so I for one think less justification will serve you better in the long run. I just love watching your family as they grow and develop into their own and am anxious to see how one boy amongst all those female hormones fairs! Patrick’s smile will get him one of two things, lots of love or miles of troubles so it’s only from my own experiences that lots of love overcomes many of life’s challenges. My siblings were 5 boys and 4 girls of which my folks used the same rules for everyone. We all ended up building lives that all but 2 are still living. So, cloth or disposable isn’t the issue but love and common sense are going to make successful parents and beautiful well adjusted children! I have but one disappointment with your vlogs and that is with Sam’s nursing graduation…I just wanted to see how they were going to keep a nurses cap on his shiny head and alas I learn nursing caps are no more! Wishing you an uneventful delivery and many prayers and blessings for the whole family with another tiny addition about to join in!!!:):):)

      @TealHouseFarm  10 месяцев назад +1

      Well I will join in your disappointment because they did not put a cap on his head at graduation. I wanted to see it too 🤣🤣. Apparently that’s a thing of the past most places now!

    I am sorry that people are so judgemental! I had 3 kids under 2 1/2 and cloth diapered all of them for a good 5 years my oldest was 5 when I potty trained him he is autistic my other kids were 3 1/2 and 2 1/2. I potty trained all 3 at the same time we had 3 potty seats and they ran around for 2 weeks with no bottoms or padded underwear and it took me 2 weeks to get them day trained night time took us a lot longer. I saved so much money with cloth diapers, wipes, liners and I was doing this from 2004- 2010 people thought I was crazy but my kids never had diaper rash my daughter had very sensitive skin and everytime I put her in a disposable diaper she would get a rash. I pretty much used cloth exclusively because of her. I have no regrets and would encourage people yo give it a try.

    I got used diapers and they were so bad even after stripping them they still smelled i got the Grove diaper shipping pods and that got it out. I also Have not had to use cloth diapers from my last 2 babies. Because I can get Disposable for free at our local food pantry and i have been getting them from catholic charities too.

    I don’t know why people are so negative. I had my first baby a couple of months ago and I used disposable to start because they were gifts and then I switched to cloth. I refuse to buy disposable it’s a waste of money and I think that using cloth diapers is cleaner for the baby. I will never use disposable again!
    I would love to see more from you about raising babies as a new mom I would enjoy it.

      Oh no! Yea…unfortunately HE machines just do not use enough water (in my experience). If you really want to CD you can get a small portable washing machine (hook up in a bathtub or sink) or basically for free make one of these and use you muscles: www.instructables.com/redneck-washing-machine/?amp_page=true
