He's been in Harlots season 3, and British crime show White House Farm Murders. But I'm looking forward to this movie in particular. When a put-on accent isn't very good, I always wonder if they bothered to use an accent coach? I mean, look at Andrew Lincoln from Walking Dead, he used an accent coach, and he nailed the Southern accent. Obviously, some people have a better ear for accents than others, but a lot of actors just don't use an accent coach when they should.
I can't believe the British crew on this listened to her in rehearsals, and thought that sounds okay. The writer's from Wolverhampton, and she thought it sounded right?

Can't wait. Not a bad attempt at a Wolves accent given that Beanie Feldstein is American and most Brits can't even pull that accent off. More importantly she's a brilliant actress and perfect for this role. Yes, they could have gone with Helen Monks who (brilliantly) plays the young Caitlin Moran in Raised by Wolves, and nails the accent because she's Brummie. But there are more important things than accents.
Helen is probably too old now because she was basically playing 15 in series 1 of Raised by Wolves. I've seen the clips they are using in America and I think Beanie just has more star power. It might get confusing having Helen play Germaine and Caitlin, but I would have liked to see her to be honest.

As for the accent, you'll note that I said 'not a bad attempt'... and then some other conditional stuff which you ignored. I doubt you'll find a US actor out there who can actually pull off a Wolvo accent. This is better than I would have expected.

I've been looking forward to Beanie's performance as she spent time in the city learning the accent. But sad to say I am disappointed. I think she should have spent time going around the region like Bilston Market, Dudley Hight Street or even venturing deeper into the Black Country like Tipton or Netherton.
