My fave. comes from one of the alternate endings: Prof. Plum: "Is the FBI in the habit of cleaning up after multiple murders?" Wadsworth: "Yes. Why do you think it's run by a man called Hoover?"
One of my favorites is when Wadsworth is talking about his wife’s death. Wadsworth: To make a long story short.... Col. Mustard: Too late. Then Mrs. White looks at Mustard like he is the biggest piece of shit that ever walked the earth.
Wadsworth: "True or false." Miss Scarlet: "True! Who are you? Perry Mason?" --- Yvette: "But eet eez dark. And I am frightened of zee dark? Won't anyone go wiss me?" Plum: "I will." Mustard: "I will." Green: "No thank you."
I have a couple of favorite lines. One is where someone says: "To Make a Long Story Short", only to have someone say back: "Too Late" (as if to suggest that it's already a long story). I also love when the Butler (Tim Curry) opens the door to find the dead singing telegram girl, looks at her after someone mentions how many murders have happened so far, and says: "This is getting serious". Then, when they lock the Cop in the Library, the phone rings (inside the Library) and the Cop answers it (to find out it's J. Edgar Hoover), and the Cop goes to the door to find out it's locked. So he yells all the charges he will press because they locked him in and ends his rant with: "...and Murder!". Then the Butler opens the door and says: "What do you mean, Murder?", and the Cop says: "I just said it so you would open the door".
There's my favorite scene: Wadsworth: That's what we're trying to find out!! We're trying to find out who killed him, where and with what!!" Professor Plum: There's no need to shout! Wadsworth: I'M NOT SHOUTING! ....ALRIGHT I AM! I'M SHOUTING, I'M SHOUTING, I'M SHOU....*gets knocked out by the candlestick*
I can't remember exactly what they say but I love when Mr. Green says "Wadsworth is exposing us all, so I chose to expose myself" and Col. Mustard goes "Please, there are ladies present!"
When Green exposes himself that's at the beginning. When Mustard said "Please there are ladies present", that's during the third ending when Wadsworth is revealed as the real Mr. Boddy. However, those are both good lines all the same 😂
My favorite is a very simple line from Yvette, when she's searching the house with Mr. Green and he offers to let her go up the stairs first. She says, "Absolutely NON!" in that ridiculous French accent, and anytime I want to fervently object to anything that's the sentence that immediately pops into my head.
I was sitting in a boring class and the professor was droning on and on, then said "To make the long story short..." And before I could stop myself, I said "Too late"
"How can we throw him outside in this weather? If we let him stay in the house, he may get suspicious. If we throw him out, he may get even more suspicious. If I were him, I'd be suspicious already."
The first one could have been three separate spots on their own. SCARLETT: What was he like? WHITE: He was always a rather stupidly optimistic man, I mean I'm afraid it came as a great shock to him when he died, but he had been found dead at home, his head had been cut off and so had his...you know. PLUM, GREEN AND MUSTARD: (Cross legs). SCARLETT: Do you miss him? WHITE: Well it's a matter of life after death; now that he's dead I have a life. WADSWORTH: But he was your second husband, your first husband also disappeared. WHITE: But that was his job, he was an illusionist. WADSWORTH: But he never reappeared. WHITE: He wasn't a very good illusionist.
The Stranger needing the phone scene is one of my favorites Stranger: Thank you! Now where is it? Wadsworth: The Body? Stranger: No the phone- What body?
Cop: Someone will give him a lift huh? Miss Scarlett: Oh we'll we'll we'll get him a car. Professor Plum: A long black car. Miss Scarlett: A limousine.
"Top *10* Favorite Lines from Clue: The Movie" Seeing this just made me realize you could have made those ten lines all be either "I didn't do it!" from Mr. Green, "Communism is just a Red Herring." and one other line...
My brother and I waited almost an hour in line for a ride at a theme park. So, we quoted this movie from beginning to close to the end. Made the time go by faster. 😅
I love that Martin Mull and Leslie Ann Warren cameo'd together as Britta's parents in Community -Britta storms off from playing a board game with them- Leslie, looking over the game rules: Honey, I think we did something wrong Martin, staring off into the distance: I know we did
Watch _Clue_ again and pay attention to "how long" the motorist's phone call is -- to whoever he's talking to. Quite a bit of time passes from the moment when he first enters the Lounge, to the point when he mentions his "former boss" Col. Mustard, who then bashes him over the head with the wrench.
anytime i hear someone say “shut the door” my mind immediately follows it with, “did anybody recognize you?” “they must have and not just my face, they know every inch of my body- *gasp* it’s you”
When I was a kid I loved to play clue. My favorite color is green so I ALWAYS chose Mr. Green. In my head he was always the coolest character because he was my favorite. However, he was never the killer when I played. When I first watched the movie I was a bit upset at how submissive Mr. Green was. But man did that ending make me freak out. I love "I'm going to go home and sleep with my wife"
i love the quot when tim curry saying to professor plum,it was a scandal when you were exposed sleeping with your patients how would un feel about you being involved in her death professor was nonchalant "you dont know people i work with i might go up in there estimation" lol. he migt get more respect because of it, i buy that tbh.
I am stunned that you've pulled 20 of the most memorable scenes & favorite lines from Clue and you've completely overlooked one of the best. "To make a long story short..." "TOO LATE!"
How could you stop just short of it: Scarlet: No, Mr. Green. Communism is just a red-herring. Like all members of the oldest profession, I'm a Capitalist.
a couple of other lines that are good Mrs. White "Life after death is as improbable as sex after marriage" Wadsworth "I'm shouting, I'm shouting, I'm shou..." Ms. Scarlet "DO you want to take a look Evett, they might shock you" Evett "no Madam, I am a lady" Mrs. Sacrlet "how do you know what type of pictures they are if your such a 'lady'?"
I saw this movie on RUclips recently. I guess that's why you came up in my suggested. There was nothing memorable about this movie. It was as bad as murder by death
I love Tim Curry's "I'm not shouting" only to be silenced by the candlestick.
My favorite line is not even said, it's when Mr. Green says he's a homosexual and Wadsworth rolls his eyes. Tim Curry priceless!
I loved that line as a kid
ALRIGHT I AM! IM SHOUTING IM SHOUTING IM SHOUTING IM- *bonk*
My fave. comes from one of the alternate endings:
Prof. Plum: "Is the FBI in the habit of cleaning up after multiple murders?"
Wadsworth: "Yes. Why do you think it's run by a man called Hoover?"
How about....
Prof Plum: Well, what are you afraid of, a fate worse than death?
Mrs. Peacock: No, just death. Isn’t that enough?
One of my favorites is when Wadsworth is talking about his wife’s death. Wadsworth: To make a long story short.... Col. Mustard: Too late. Then Mrs. White looks at Mustard like he is the biggest piece of shit that ever walked the earth.
Wadsworth: "True or false."
Miss Scarlet: "True! Who are you? Perry Mason?"
---
Yvette: "But eet eez dark. And I am frightened of zee dark? Won't anyone go wiss me?"
Plum: "I will."
Mustard: "I will."
Green: "No thank you."
It’s a free country! -I didn’t know it was that free!
I like when green says something and Mrs white is just like “aAhHh”
Its when wadsworth turns the lights out for the 3rd time!! Lol!!
He says "I hate when he does that!" after Wadsworth turned out the lights again
I have a couple of favorite lines. One is where someone says: "To Make a Long Story Short", only to have someone say back: "Too Late" (as if to suggest that it's already a long story). I also love when the Butler (Tim Curry) opens the door to find the dead singing telegram girl, looks at her after someone mentions how many murders have happened so far, and says: "This is getting serious". So he yells all the charges he will press because they locked him in and ends his rant with: "...and Murder!". Then the Butler opens the door and says: "What do you mean, Murder?", and the Cop says: "I just said it so you would open the door".
Or when Col. Mustard asks "why is J Edgar Hoover on your phone?" Wadsworth: "I don't know. He's on everybody else's, why shouldn't he be on mine?"
2:38 mrs. peacock - "wAht?"
oml i love that to much
"Being killed is pretty finale, wouldn't you say"
There's my favorite scene:
Wadsworth: That's what we're trying to find out!! We're trying to find out who killed him, where and with what!!"
Professor Plum: There's no need to shout!
Wadsworth: I'M NOT SHOUTING! ....ALRIGHT I AM! I'M SHOUTING, I'M SHOUTING, I'M SHOU....*gets knocked out by the candlestick*
My favorite too! 😁
2:45 “Armageddon is almost upon us.”
“I got news for you it’s already here.”
"It’s you and me honey bunch...." 😂
I can't remember exactly what they say but I love when Mr. Green says "Wadsworth is exposing us all, so I chose to expose myself" and Col. Mustard goes "Please, there are ladies present!"
When Green exposes himself that's at the beginning. When Mustard said "Please there are ladies present", that's during the third ending when Wadsworth is revealed as the real Mr. Boddy.
However, those are both good lines all the same 😂
“He wasn’t a very good illusionist” 😂😂
Waldsworth:"and I was in the hall, I know because I was there
Plum: "What are you afraid of, a fate worse than death”.
Peacock:"No, just death pretty much”
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
My favorite is a very simple line from Yvette, when she's searching the house with Mr. Green and he offers to let her go up the stairs first. She says, "Absolutely NON!" in that ridiculous French accent, and anytime I want to fervently object to anything that's the sentence that immediately pops into my head.
I was sitting in a boring class and the professor was droning on and on, then said "To make the long story short..." And before I could stop myself, I said "Too late"
Tim Curry is brilliant!
Moterist:"where’s it”
Waldsworth:"what? The body?”
Moterist:"what body?”
Waldsworth:"there’s no body-nobody in the study.”
🤣🤣🤣
FLAMES on the side of my face Breathing breath, heaving breaths
THIS
I can't choose a favorite quote from this movie, the whole thing is gold
Yep. The whole movie is one great quote.
These are the references a man needs to know before trying to hit me up
"How can we throw him outside in this weather?
The Stranger needing the phone scene is one of my favorites
Stranger: Thank you! Now where is it?
Wadsworth: The Body?
Stranger: No the phone- What body?
"Oh! Good shot, Green!" *checks bullet hole*. "Oh... VERY good." *dies*
I love how the exchange at #10 is like five awesome lines strung together
#10 is one sucker punch after another
"I Buttle, sir"
"To make a long story short-"
"Too late"
White: Are you a cop?
Green: no, I'm a plant
Scarlet: plant? I thought men like you were called a fruit
Mr. Green: Very funny.
"Husbands should be like Kleenex. Soft, strong, and disposable." 😄
How did my favorite line not make the top 20! Tim Curry "I had to stop her screaming!"
Cop: Someone will give him a lift huh?
Miss Scarlett: Oh we'll we'll we'll get him a car.
Professor Plum: A long black car.
Miss Scarlett: A limousine.
What a old classic film I shall be watching this tonight now
Good idea!
One of my favorites has always been when Colonel Mustard says "I said if. IF!"
So happy they got to the "It's you and me, honeybunch!" My ex and I would say that to each other ALL the time.
"I know that because I was there."
Anyone else find themselves quoting along with the video?
"Top *10* Favorite Lines from Clue: The Movie"
Seeing this just made me realize you could have made those ten lines all be either "I didn't do it!" from Mr. Green, "Communism is just a Red Herring." and one other line...
The last one was from Miss Scarlet^^
My brother and I waited almost an hour in line for a ride at a theme park. So, we quoted this movie from beginning to close to the end. Made the time go by faster. 😅
My favorite is Madeline Kahn's backwards raspberry. I never laughed so hard in my life.
tHwVoOp
I love when...
Mr. Green: Maybe Mr. Body KILLED THE COOK
Everyone: Yes!
Wadsworth: How :l
*Awkward silence*
"This is war, Peacock!"
I love that Martin Mull and Leslie Ann Warren cameo'd together as Britta's parents in Community
-Britta storms off from playing a board game with them-
Leslie, looking over the game rules: Honey, I think we did something wrong
Martin, staring off into the distance: I know we did
Omg, I never noticed!
Now there's one thing I don't understand: how have you still not included the "I'M SHOUTING!!" but in either of these videos!
My fav is a tie between literally everything miss scarlet says.
I adore the acting in this movie.
Col. Mustard: How many husbands have you had?
Mrs. White: Mine or other women's?
LMAO!!!
But your souls are in danger... Our lives are in danger, you beatnik!
All time favorite movie!!! Love love love🥰🥰🥰🥰
My favourite line - "Do you like Kipling Miss Scarlet ?" "Sure, I'll eat anything".
They look so young! 😃
I love this movie
"What about you, Colonel? Are you a real Colonel?"
"I am, Sir"
One of my favorites isn't all that special, but memorable for the delivery
Mr. Green: Will you stop that?!
Wadsworth: (darkly) No!
Can't wait for this Documentary! 🤟🤟😂
anytime i hear someone say “shut the door” my mind immediately follows it with, “did anybody recognize you?” “they must have and not just my face, they know every inch of my body- *gasp* it’s you”
WOULD YOU STOP DOING THAT!
Curry: No
No?
Curry: new

I can't wait until you finish it! Best of luck! :)
IM NOT SHOUTING
For the next list..... "To make a long story short (Too late!)"
I am stunned that you've pulled 20 of the most memorable scenes & favorite lines from Clue and you've completely overlooked one of the best. "To make a long story short..." "TOO LATE!"
How could you stop just short of it:
Scarlet: No, Mr. Green. Communism is just a red-herring.
Like all members of the oldest profession, I'm a Capitalist.
The sleep with my wife is my favorite line❤❤❤
a couple of other lines that are good
Mrs. White "Life after death is as improbable as sex after marriage"
Wadsworth "I'm shouting, I'm shouting, I'm shou..."
Ms. Scarlet "DO you want to take a look Evett, they might shock you"
Evett "no Madam, I am a lady"
Mrs. Sacrlet "how do you know what type of pictures they are if your such a 'lady'?"
And Mrs. Peacock: "How would you know? When were you in that Mens Room?"
A video of Miss Scarlet's scenes, plz?
Oh my this soup is delicious 🙌
Yep
And (as far as I know) not one swear word throughout the entire movie.
Mrs invisible
Get on with it! The documentary, I mean.
"I'm getting there, I'm getting there!!!"
The whole movie is one great line, like a snort of cocaine or pixie sticks.
So did Green do it?
So, is there a potential release date for this thing? Love these interviews.
Aiming for the end of the summer 2020.
@@ItLooksSoFake Huzzah! Super excited for it!
1:29
Cahm out! Zee dohr iz ohpen!
OK, but WHEN?
I'm gonna go home and sleep with my wife" is one of my all-time favorite movie quotes 😂
In real life, that actor was married to Annette Benning.
Who'd want to kill the cook? Dinner wasn't that bad.
How can you make jokes at a time like this?
@@ItLooksSoFakeit’s my defence mechanism.
Hahahaha
To make a long story short......too late! 😆😆😆
Ah yes, at the end of the movie we find out who really "did it". Mr Green. In the bedroom. With his wife.
If you're trying to make a long story short...
Too late
I saw this movie on RUclips recently. I guess that's why you came up in my suggested.
There was nothing memorable about this movie. It was as bad as murder by death
Every actor and actress was fantastic, but Christopher Lloyd stole this movie
Yo mamma
Anyone else here think Kahn was the least funny one here?
i m going home and sleep with my wife
