I understand that brand deals are how RUclipsrs make their money, but it is still important to stay authentic to avoid losing your audiences’ trust. When you start to promote companies for the money and not because you genuinely like them, it shows, and it ruins your overall credibility. The RUclipsrs I enjoy most are the ones who are honest and promote products/brands they like/use. It may be worth sticking to promoting the brands you actually enjoy, as a result, the videos will come across less scripted and you’ll probably have more people using your codes, clicking the links, etc
This is probably the most unrealistic ad ever. You’ve never once used Temu or mentioned it? I know this is how you make money by ads etc but this is low! Temu has such a bad reputation, going through a scandal at the moment and is bad quality. Not to mention the labour. But you wouldn’t care about that as long as you get your money. 😳 this video just comes across as ‘money grabber’ jumping at any opportunity. Any ad. Wow. I really hope next time you reconsider certain ads before agreeing. Very unrealistic.

Shocking choice of a brand deal, you should really think about the bigger picture not just the money.
Please please before you do paid ads, research into the brands! Things have come out about Temu that is horrifying to do with how they treat their workers. I really love your videos usually but its really disappointing to see “influencers” just go into something without really knowing anything.
How sad it is that you decided to go down this route. I know its no ones business.....but be careful you may lose your audience with all that tat.

there is an extremely high risk that Temu's supply chains are contaminated with forced labour!! If you thought slave labour was bad forced labour is even worse and the fact that someone would shop there so ignorantly is disgusting.
Agreed, I wish influencers paid more attention to supply chains and refused to work with companies that can’t guarantee their workforce is well paid and treated well
Why don't you take it up with temu and not take your anger out on customers .

@@douglasm1158 paying consumers are the problem. Without consumers Temu would stop trading but they rely on western ignorance and our destain for care of others around the world.
@@douglasm1158you’re right, they should be held to account, but it doesn’t always work, they are quick profit companies that disappear and reappear with new names, who avoid govt scrutiny by operating through multiple countries, tax havens etc. So I think it can also make a difference if we can all be conscious of where we shop

I’m def not rich and love a bargain and understand times are tough. But if stuff is that cheap there’s usually something dodgy going on the other end - not paying their workers fairly/terrible working conditions. It’s a shame it’s being promoted.

They don't, I've ordered recently and never once received anything in a temu bag. The parcel is super squished.

Wow so judgmental if a sponsor puts food in your kids belly then you going to take it. I use temu and I think it is good for the money. Personally it is all I can afford to decorate my home but if a sponsor pays me then so what? So many other influebcers/RUclipsrs do temu hauls and I don't see you on their channels wagging your tongue at them.

Julie, you know someone did this brand deal and over a couple of years 2,000 pounds came out of her account because temu was taking £4 out of her bank account every day. I would take this down
Hi Julie love your vlogs but i have to say that when i order off temu my items don't arrive in a zip bag infact the packaging is really poor i have ordered twice from temu and the items are just shoved in a plastic mail bag no care at all !! lots of small items damaged/bent because of it , its happened twice now so i was astonished to see your items arrive so perfect and in nice packaging ? Or is this because its an ad ? Its a shame because they do nice things !.
I get bad smashed packaging everytime.
My stuff doesn't come individually packed in a nice temu bag but it's never been damaged. It is definitely squashed but wouldn't buy what Julie purchased so wouldn't have any issues.

We all love a bargain, but it’s bare minimum effort to at least do some research before attaching your name to a brand and promoting it to your audience.
Shop locally and help independent local businesses I’d rather have less things of quality than all this plastic tatt
We need to save small American businesses. I got caught up in ordering some stuff with them. Never once did I get a nice reusable plastic bag. Then I started to realize. We are contributing to the destruction of US businesses.

If you genuinely didn’t know the history of the brand then ok, but maybe acknowledge you’ve made a mistake and move on. Or maybe you could donate the fee they paid you to a fair trade charity, instead of buying another designer bag or clothing haul.

I'll be honest, I was curious about Temu, so I have recently made a couple of orders. The first order 2 out of the 5 items were broken and 1 was a different shade to what id ordered. The second parcel had one item missing. And certainly not one thing was packaged like yours! All in very cheap plastic or vacuum packed.
I reckon for PR it looks like this, mine was vacuum sealed too!
Yes I was gonna comment all my good came vacuum packed n broken,I ordered 4 diff times to see if it was just bad luck the first couple orders but no it wasn’t,then I’ve tried returning item n they charge an outrageous price for returns 😠

It's not about experience or products or quality or even if we like her or not. It's about the business, slave labour, morals and peoples being forced to work under terrible condition. The reason she's getting g hate is because she's promoting such a dangerous company and she should have done some background research. All it takes is a Google search to see. And she clearly hasn't done that.

Ive ordered from temu twice now and have not received the stuff nicely packaged up like you show here. Ive noticed anyone sponsored to do these videos have all this nice packaging and nicely packaged up but when i get the stuff theyre rolled in a ball and dont have boxes just plain clear plastic.... 😂😂😮😮😮

So despite majority on here saying Julie shouldn’t have done this video and letting her know the horrific way forced labour is used, she continues to say the products ‘are fab’ whilst ignoring all the negative comments. She has not acknowledged the unethical nature of this at all. As someone suggested, acknowledging this was an error of judgement and donating the fee to an ethical charity would restore our faith in her but her silence seems like she is sticking her fingers up at us.

You all need to stop telling people how to spend their money! Loads are struggling with the cost of living high rents and food. Try eating in America! So if this temu place can help people afford things they ordinarily wouldnt be able to afford then its each person right to make that choice for themselves.

We’re not talking about the low prices of the stuff? We’re talking about the slavery Temu utilises to make these products, the fact they’re stealing peoples card information and selling it to third parties. I could go on. You’ve completely missed the point as to why everyone is so mad about this. Is that something you support? Factory slaves? Working for nothing? If so then you should be disappointed in yourself.
Most people who have commented on this probably shop at Poundland and home bargains etc for cheap stuff like the stuff Julie has shown. At least the poundshop don’t promote slavery!
Also, we all know how much Julie makes off social media. As she has boasted before about her big house, all the expensive designer she wears and all the holidays she goes on so she is hardly suffering! She didn’t need to take this ad. Cost of living crisis won’t affect her. Just like it won’t affect majority of influencers. If she did some proper research into the reputability and background of the company maybe people wouldn’t be mad. But nearly all these comments are bad so ask yourself why.
