Alexander, I initially discovered your channel seeking a more nuanced and thoughtful perspective on the Remarkable Pro, beyond the typical "tech-tuber" comparisons. Often, reviews tend to compare it with devices like the iPad, which feels like an unfair comparison given the Remarkable’s deliberately focused design aimed at enhancing productivity through its intentional limitations.
However, I’ve continued following your channel because of your intellectually driven, in-depth critiques and opinions. I’m excited to see your content expand and look forward to watching your channel evolve!
PS. Just to add; I did purchase the PaperPro after watching, essentially all of your videos on it, It is arriving next week and I'm excited to put it to use. Thank you!

One nice use of the reMarkable 2 is to prepare the notes ahead of time with layers and also careful spacing. Last year, color was just coming into the reMarkable 2. I'm liking it this year, especially since I'm teaching some classes with weaker math skills. It's wonderful for illustrating the math that I'm doing. I wish I'd had it 2 years ago when I was teaching Statistics and Probability! It has helped with diagrams. And I'm really looking forward to the additional color options in the Paper Pro.
You have a much nicer layout than I ever managed.
One feature I would like is the ability to insert photographs or diagrams into a document for annotation.
Years ago, I used a Wacom tablet with Microsoft OneNote. My students couldn't share work on it because it was hard for them to master not being able to see as they write except on the screen. With the reMarkable, I can hand the tablet to students with an interesting solution and they are comfortable writing. That is a little scary at first, but students have treated it well so far.

Yes absolutely agree, I have not shown the layers yet in any video, maybe an idea for the future, but I did not plan a full "missing manual" approach. I use layers like in good old times (remember overhead projectors?) to cover and then show certain bits of the page. And while I still do many PowerPoints, this has got such a personal touch (and is often way faster to create than a graphically complex slide).
Re Diagrams and photos: I do this sometimes, just convert a pic into a PDF and upload (or ideally create a proper page in your preferred format, US Letter, A4 ...) and position the diagram. Then you can annotate like in a PDF book ... works pretty well for me.
You obviously trust your students :-) But with the reM PP, this is even more expensive ... just saying.

May I know how do you only capture the "screen part" of the screen sharing? If I share the window of the screen share app, it includes the left and right blank part and the main thing I dislike is the "remarkable" logo on the left. I do not want to include that in the presentation.

I use a Mac and I just draw the frame to capture the required section. This is what I have to do anyway, as I use a 40" screen and I cannot share full screen anything as I would be too big for me on the screen and the text too small (because of the zoom level) for my audience. So I am used to draw a rectangle over anything I share ...

Nice to know that there other stylus that work with remarkable pro still not sure if this is preferable to Wacom emr stylus. The benefit of the red dot for presentation is not material to me and I am not sure if this cannot be achieved with a Wacom pen also. My Wacom remarkable one stylus right now is dropping ink when is even one centimeter above the screen. Maybe this is why they changed the technology they cannot do a proper emr pen…😅

Hm, I don't know why this happens with your reM1 stylus.
I have not yet found a EMR pen where the "hover" effect was properly working. I think the electric field from the layer is too weak, so the distance is close to touching already. And then, the pointer effect is difficult to achieve. If you find an implementation with a passive stylus, please let me know, just curious ...
