Just some general information, mooncakes are a type of Chinese baked goods that are usually eaten on Mid-Autumn Festival or around that time. As Mid-Autumn Festival takes place on the 13th September this year, Oriental Asian supermarkets are likely to have them on sale already as they are very popular, albeit a bit expensive. I have them every year and I personally think that the price is worth it, so I would really recommend people try it at some point. They are delicious and quite filling, especially the traditional one with egg yolk in the middle. The perfect 'snack' to appreciate the full moon with family.

If any New Yorkers want some moon cakes there are a couple upstate bakery’s that sell mooncakes, dango, bean buns, etc. just google mooncakes near me and you can find plenty cafes and bakery’s that sell them, hope this helped y’all 👍
