  • When looking for a place to camp I ran into some bike issues.. Somehow in a funny way the issues with the bike ended up helping me in a funny way.
    In this episode I got to explore Valle de Anton and then started making my way to the Costa Rican border.

    Dude. Get some tires and maintenance on that girl ASAP. Put some HD tubes in as well. You give me anxiety with your bike issues that all seem to be avoidable.

    Landon! I’ve been loving your stuff, I’m just behind you in el salv. When you need to service your wheels like that, push the bike onto the stand and back wheel, then pop a stick under the bash plate on the opposite side, for the back wheel push the front wheel onto the stand and put a stick under the rear swing arm!
    I’m an Australian, I flew to Canada a year and a half ago and have been travelling south ever since! Riding a DR650 atm, would love to chat to you about spots etc! We should meet up in South America if you planning to do that 🤠

    Super enjoyed this episode. Valle de Anton was one of our favourites. We did the same hike. It's amazing how nice the pavement is in the mountains. Your risk threshold is much higher than ours. Youth is your super power. Food for thought a front tire failure is super dangerous on pavement at speed. Any accident you can avoid for $20 dollars (price of a tube)is worth the investment. I got several flat tires on our trip. Steph got none. Fun watching you get it done your way. The delay in producing content puts you way down the road, you might even be home by now. We will keep pretending this is in real time so we can be on the trip with you.
    You're officially our favourite You tuber.

    It’s 7am right now my time and I literally stayed up all night binge watching your videos. I was YouTubing videos of Guerrero and I was just planning on watching the two and now I’m hooked. Great videos. You sir have balls of steel. Not many would embark on this journey. Stay safe man. I’m rooting for you and your bike 💪

    Good video - I like your tube conservation efforts! That's exactly what I do too! Try to save the tubes for as long as they'll go - nothing wrong with that!!

      Thanks my friend! Yeah my experience has been that they can last very long with those patches in them.. good enough for me!

    Yo Landon! Chris / honda131. In Baja, we run mousse foam tubes in our tires. Might be a little excess for what you're doing but done right, there pretty life saving when you're remote and can't risk failures. HD tubes are probably just right for you but the mousse can take the worry out. Best of luck and as you know, the stuff that tries us makes the best memories!

    • @LandonBishoff
      @LandonBishoff  6 дней назад

      Thanks Chris! Yeahh the mousse is something I think I’d be willing to experiment with. Although for how little they happen the tubes have been okay as well

    You don't know how you got a flat? That tube is swiss cheese lol. I tease. But things worked out the way they were supposed to in the end.

    I notice your trail tech is never on. Does it even work down there or is it broken?

    • @LandonBishoff
      @LandonBishoff  6 дней назад

      Yeahh the trail tech is really nice when it works, but currently I’m having issues with the charging block again. The unit itself works it just can’t get charged so it’s off :/

    Insulation tape, are you serious? At least use flex tape or keep a capable puncher repair kit with you. You'll end up killing yourself if you're not careful.

    • @LandonBishoff
      @LandonBishoff  Месяц назад +1

      It does have a proper patch below the tape.. it’s not just the tape. Although id like to try that and see if it works haha.. and it’s electrical tape. I’ve road thousands of miles on more than one patch that way so I’d say it works pretty well

    If you haven't already done it I would get a Vortex ecu for your bike. It will give it a little extra power for those hills and almost completely stop the flame outs like you had trying to get up that hill. They are worth the money for sure.

    • @LandonBishoff
      @LandonBishoff  6 дней назад

      Yeahh totally agree! I’ve had moments where the flame outs have came out in somewhat critical moments and it’s annoying haha
