A strat I’ve done with my friends and has worked is that you need to remove higher numbers first and lower numbers are priority. If you remove the higher numbers and only roll one die then the lowest chance to be correct is 1/6. Overall mathematically removing higher numbers and keeping lower numbers is better

The ideal strategy is to leave the 6 and 1 until last, as the average roll of two d6s is a 7 and is the most likely roll, which you want when you need an exact roll near the end. Aside from that, you want to do a combination of high and low numbers since those are closer to the average. Unfortunately, you need luck to get 5 out, but the game also requires you rolling an exact total of 45 anyways, so its already luck based.
That scoring system is annoying to me, why not be forced to flip let's say 3 back up if you roll 3 and the count the number of turns, and the lower number of turns is the better score

I think the trick to this game is to go for high numbers early.
Low numbers just seem more flexible.
