    Thank you for getting back to me. Here is a pic of our set up. The pump is a Myers pump and the pit is from ak industries.

    Here in Ireland we do things differently. The electric cable might be in a thick red pipe so won't be damaged by future digging. Also, a warning tape is buried just below ground so as to avoid digging up cable. All waste pipes would be bedded in 1" round stone to support even slope. Stone filled around pipe and 4" over. Backfilling doesn't upset slope then. Also, trench for waste pipe would have been dug using 1 foot wide bucket.

      B C Canada does the same thing. It's also usually then inspected, but I always take digital photos as an archive record. It's just good practice EVEN IF not required "legally".

    where did you buy a pipe from discharge E1 grinder pump to discharge main line/sewer line (my is 1.25" pipe diameter.

    • @EONESewerSystems
      @EONESewerSystems  4 года назад

      You can get the pipe from any local Plumbing supply place.
      It should be either PE pipe, SDR 11 per ASTM 3035, or PVC pipe, SDR21 per ASTM 2241, or Schedule 40 PVC per ASTM 1785

    Can you share the running and starting wattage for this unit. Trying to size a backup generator and this will be hooked to that with other appliances. TYIA

    • @EONESewerSystems
      @EONESewerSystems  2 года назад

      • If it’s a 240v pump, a 240V generator must be rated to start a 6500-watt load minimum.
      • Never use an undersized generator; it will likely cause damage to the generator, pump and/or alarm panel.
      • Allow the generator’s motor to warm up completely before supplying power to the grinder pump station
      • Before connecting to the grinder pump station, measure that the voltage the generator is putting out unloaded. It should be 235 to 250 volts.
      • When the grinder pump starts, it will need approximately 6500 watts for up to ¼ of a second at 240 volts.
      • Once the grinder pump motor is running, the wattage will drop to between 500 and 1200 watts depending on the pressure sewer system’s pressure.
      **Note: E/One does not recommend using any type of “Auto-Idle” feature (if your generator is so equipped).

    What is the pipes used with this such pumps, would the PVC work?

    • @EONESewerSystems
      @EONESewerSystems  3 года назад

      Pressure rated piping must be used (min 150-160psi). SDR11 HDPE and SDR21 PVC are the most common. SCH40 is used on occasion, though it MUST be pressure rated. PVC drain pipe CAN NOT be used.

  • @garrettsholl5414

    what type discharge pipe are you using that pressure rated???

    • @EONESewerSystems
      @EONESewerSystems  2 года назад

      The use of 1-1/4” PVC pressure pipe Schedule 40 or 80 and polyethylene pipe SDR 11 or SIDR 7 are recommended.

    How much electric work would an EOne WH101 required. Meaning, on average, material and electrical personnel required? How much on average you see it will cost?

    • @EONESewerSystems
      @EONESewerSystems  7 лет назад

      Hi Angelita -
      A dedicated 30A breaker is required, after the house panel and before the E/One Alarm Panel.
      10 AWG wire has to be ran from that 30A breaker to the E/One Alarm Panel (L1, L2, N & GND) to be wired to panel per the Installation instructions.
      The Pump Supply Cable, 6 conductor, direct bury cable, has to be connected to the Alarm Panel.
      All wiring to comply with local and national codes.
      Cost will vary from place to place and from site to site depending on cable lengths required.
      You can find your local distributor on our web site at www.eone.com/sewers. Contact us at eone@eone.com if you have any more questions.

    Could a grinder pump station discharge into another grinder pump station which is connected to the main?

    • @EONESewerSystems
      @EONESewerSystems  4 года назад

      It doesn’t usually make sense to pump the waste twice, but there are some cases that require something like that.
      The first GP station that is receiving flow from the other station must be rated for the additional flow.

    Our community voted for this system (Windermere, BC) two years ago. Install was by the ONLY authorized installer, electrical permit by Red Seal BC installer, and it's a 20 foot rise to the road. Our system box has a motherboard in addition to all the components shown in this video, and on E-One site. Motherboard came pre=wired, but the meter has never worked and there have been several issues with alarm, overpressure, etc. since install. You're saying there's a "shut=off" up by the road? I'm thinking maybe they never opened it in full. This house is lightly used. We've had the pump out several times and the electrical checked without sourcing the problem. But "old school" guys, authorized or not, don't get near motherboards.

      Hi Shon, The line from the house to the station is 4 inch and should not require a cleanout on a proper installation (proper pitch and location to the house).

      @@EONESewerSystems whether it is 3" or 4" the point I was trying to make is that you have to put a cleanout on it as soon as it exits the building where Im from. What if the line clogs back under house or from house to pump? Just curious. No big deal. Thank you.

    Whats the reasoning for putting vulnerable (and wear) components down the hole? (Contactor, Start cap at the very least) - I understand these are fairly shallow but it just gives potential water intrusion more things to wreck and is going to cause callouts due to failures. A smarter design would keep as many components as possible OUT of the hole (as in how a typical submersible water well pump application).

    These pumps are Very Expensive and don't last long at all. A company in Greensboro Ga installs these boat anchors and they do not last 3-4 years. It's a shame for what you pay for these pumps. You could redo your whole septic system in most cases for what one of these pumps would cost you
    if it wen out.

    • @EONESewerSystems
      @EONESewerSystems  8 лет назад

      +Matt Goodman Hi Matt, We have an average mean time between service calls of 8 years under normal residential use. Premature service needs or even replacement are most often attributed to poor installation (hence our making this video); misapplication; and abuse, ie flushing things that shouldn't be put down any sewer or drain. If you aren't allowed a septic system, such as this development in Georgia, pressure sewer may be the only option.
