- Policy Exchange’s Lara Brown discusses a new report which “highlights 31 examples where gender ideology has embroiled every government department.”
“They’re going to be taught that gender is a spectrum, that they can be born in the wrong body.”
Sir Keir Starmer has said people changing gender must be treated with “respect and dignity”, as he was challenged on his party’s plans to reform the process.
The Labour leader said single-sex spaces “must be protected” and “we mustn’t go down the route of self-identification”.
But he added that it was necessary to “recognise the procedure or the process at the moment is not dignified”.

It's not down to HR, I'm in HR and I have had ongoing immense pressure from the top to sign up to a DEI scheme, and to allow men into women's toilets. I have pointed out to them again and again that most of the "requests" they have made are against the law, and that is why I won't implement them. I have been told by one of the bosses that if I won't do it then he'll find an HR Director that will. I told him to feel free and I'll see him at tribunal for unfair dismissal. Most of the bosses support my stance but are afraid that some of the younger employees may make life difficult if we don't, as there are a few that claim they're "non binary" or "trans", and they don't want the hassle. I'm fortunate that I retired and only do this job for something to do, but if I was younger not so bloody minded and relying on the job I can see why they'd give in to pressure. But I'll be buggered if i'm going to dismantle women's rights, protections and safety for the sake of a lie and spoilt, entitled and self indulgent people who have no respect for others boundaries.

Why are people taking about something doesn't exist! There is NO such thing as trans! Because it's impossible to transition!!!
What we do need it that the School Administration develop their own programs rather than buy them from some activist group.
The Schools system has to get "Back to Basics" and have a department that develops the educational material, a department that vets the educational material, a department that educates the educators on the material, and finally the material disseminated to the students who can once again learn to read, write effectively, the learn math and science, and most of all they MUST learn to think critically and independently.
This is actually what the schools are suppose to do, but for some reason have been sideswiped by an ideology that is utterly out of control.
I remember when all kids were taught to tell the truth.
Now many of them are taught by parents, doctors, teachers, the government etc that in some situations (and very, very important ones at that), not only is it ok, but that they should, are required, and should want others to lie about serious things just because somebody feels better if you do or you will be punished if you don't. This no matter the consequences, even Hawmful ones. And that they are bad, mean, bigoted people if they don't.

In the UK the legal definition of rape involves penetration with a penis (hope the YT machine doesn't delete this comment because of my language). If no penis is involved it is sexual assault. So the penis is the weapon of rape just as a firearm is the weapon of gun crime. To trivialise this is the equivalent of saying 'guns don't kill'.
In a democracy, the majority are suppose to direct policy. In this Trans World the 7% who identify as Trans (in the real world that would be about .5% if hype and radicalization were taken out of the equation) seem to run government.
What's this about? Maybe we should have a benevolent dictatorship so that the problems of all Australians can be examined and supported fairly.
The Trans and LBTQ alphabet can still have their events only they will have to support them themselves by say renting a stadium or park like the other 93% have to. The 7% should not run this country or be given special consideration. The 93% would like to have the country back. PLEASE!

As a retired headteacher I was was trained in the 60’s. Part of our training was that we were to impart facts. Any discussion should allow children to have the freedom to give their opinions BUT we as teachers should ensure respect for each other and we should not tell what we personally thought.
What needs to happen is that Stonewall is no allowed to be involved in government departments re training any more

I can remember back in the 90s the large ferry company that I worked for bringing in a policy that stated that you could face disciplinary action if another employee felt that you were bullying them, or denigrating their sexual preferences, or were predjucial to their racial identity. It didn't matter if you were actually guilty of these offences, it only mattered if the other employee FELT that they had been treated badly.
The result of this policy was that it divided the crew. Many people, like myself chose not to interact with certain people for fear that you would somehow offend them and therefore lose your job.
So this started many years ago and has only become much more prevalent over the last 30 years. I'm all for equality at work and in general life, but thankfully I'm now retired.

I used to work for the Department of Health and Social Care where we were routinely lectured about trans people and all the discrimination they apparently experience. Noone has ever been able to accurately explain precisely what this discrimination actually is.

It all started when the government decide that schools must teach children about sex. Which at the time involved talking about how not to get a venereal disease/std/sti.
A vast majority of unionised teachers refused.
The government insisted it was necessary.
The school system then outsourced this to external bodies. "Enter stage right" Gender.

And if the people (we pay through our taxes) took their responsibility seriously we wouldn't be here.

I’m trans, you cannot teach this topic and I agree that it shouldn’t taught in school. Biology cannot be changed and you’ll find the trans people that agree with very small pocket are delusional. Stonewall is a waste of time and gives shocking advice/guidelines. Freedom of speech is important
I love this comment. Unfortunately, it's the usual case of those who shout the loudest get the most attention and like yourself many trans people do not go along with this extremism. A member of my close family is a trans man. He defines himself as a girl who has severe gender dysphoria who has relieved his mental anguish by living as a man. But admits he is not literally a man. He is a transman which is different. This has been a difficult process but the change for the better in his mental health is dramatic. But because he does not reject his fundamental female biology and refuses to say he is literally 'a man' he has been bullied off social media by other trans people who have branded him as transphobic and a self-hater.
