I really like the YSL Envelope bag - it’s good price point compared to something like a Chanel classic flap, is similar in functionality AND you don’t see it everywhere!

I have a Goyard as well. It’ll be a year in June since I purchase mine and she’s in pristine condition! No issues with my monogram. I have the St. Louis tote and I carry mine everyday as a workbag.

I’ve had my St Louis tote for probably 5+ years it’s seen rain snow and mass transit commutes. A bit of wear and tear on the corners but no issues with monogram coming off Nothing to worry about

Getting true inspo from your content Sophie, I was previously a Tote fan but since lock down I haven't used any of them. Now it's shoulder or cross body bags all they way, I'd love the YSL puffer but am thinking a neutral colour is the way to go.
The Goyard Saigon is definitely on my wish list (if I can find it in one of the colors I'm interested in) so definitely hoping my next trip to London or Paris isn't too far away....pandemic willing. I've always enjoyed visiting the Mount Street boutique when I'm in town, the sales team has been very helpful during all of my visits to date.

I wonder what would happen if everyone stopped buying at these current prices? My dear mum passed away at 92 and she had some some beautiful bags from her yesteryears. The quality of the leather, stitching, hardware and even the luxurious cream suede interiors makes the designer bags of today look like the poor cousins 😂. Keep up the good work, you are always a delight to watch and great at giving honest and balanced recommendations.

I Adore the Bvlgari brand as a whole, that bag is certainly on my wish list, always had great service from the boutiques too.
Bulgari bags look amazing and the chain looks stunning - but I just cannot get on board with the serpent’s head fastening on all of their flap bags; it really puts me off. I wish they had a range with an alternative to that, say like the Diva’s Dream fan shape from their jewellery line, as a clasp. I can’t be the only one who feels this way.

I have the red YSL puffer. The leather is beautiful. So soft. It’s very comfortable to shoulder carry and holds my LV 6 key, small wallet, iPhone plus and my Gucci cosmetic pouch with a few small items in it. ❤️ it!

I purchased a Goyard large tote, the simple ones that fold flat - From Bergdorf in New York. The very first time I wore it out, my friend shopping with me noticed immediately the monogram canvas was peeling off my bag! I was stunned! It was clear it would simply continue peeling. This was a large piece, approximately 4 inch by 3 inches. Bergdorf did replace it once I initially sent them a photo and returned. My SA said there must have been a bad batch.
I started to request a refund instead.
Instead, I donated the new one to a Charity event that I am involved in and it sold well helping our Charity.
But I have never purchased another.
So many friends have them as you don't see them everywhere here like the LV never full bags(which I also do not own).
But it was just out of box. Not wet.
Not worn etc.
I love the look of the Bulgari Serpenti bags. I would love to get my hands on a Square mini eventually too

I am noticing that the medium and larger Lady Dior handbags seem to do poorly on preloved websites but the small and mini sizes are holding value. The small seems so nice but it’s hard to justify when a medium LD can be had for so much less.

Bulgari really is underrated! At the moment I’m on the Balenciaga&Prada train tho :D Happy i got my 2 classic flaps in black and beige, and a vintage white mini, because the Chanel prices are just not fun anymore :( saving up for them are a drag, and not worth it for me financially. Feel better spending more around the 2k mark, and really need to spend more on shoes&clothes, because I do have a lot of bags now 🙈

Some of these bags are like Gremlins: don't get them wet, don't expose them to sunlight, and don't feed them after midnight. I'm currently saving for the lady Dior though. Would love your thoughts on how well the embroidered bags last? Or would it be better to stick with leather?

So many lovely bags ! I am quite surprised about Goyard: to be honest, is not the first time that I have heard about bad experiences with the brand. Apparently, some other bags are quite "fragile" for the price you pay for a luxury bag is quite disappointing when cannot fully enjoy it.

Really interesting video! I’ve been looking into Goyard, and from what I’ve read the chevron pattern on the Goyard bags is no longer hand painted but mechanically screen printed. Only personalisations are hand painted I believe. Maybe the issues with peeling were on vintage goyard?

Chanel affinity bag is in USA is over 5000 dollars plus tax and Coco handle mini is also 5100 US dollars plus tax.And on fashionphile they ask for Coco handle for mini size 6000 or evan 7000 us dollars ,more than it is actually on Chanel website .Coco handle is my dream bag but I cant justify that money anymore.That is the only bag that I want at the moment.

Oh I own a tory burch gemini link (coated canvas) it's indeed not in the thousands price wise, but I would expect the print to remain the same and the wear and tear would be on the straps, but the print does fade! At least the side where it rubs against my body when I walk.

I discourage everyone in buying the Gucci dome shaped ophidia. I fell head over hills when i first saw the bag and knew I had to have it. It was one of my favorite but after wearing it on-and-off I noticed that the canvas peeled off on both corners. I tried to inquire on the gucci store here in phils if they can repair it but to no avail. Im disappointed bc its an expensive bag.😌

For me the Chanel at the 3k price is to small for that price. Because of the hand painting on Goyard the price is more worth it. Some people need care instructions because they are not taking into account the hand painting and therefore do not know how to take care of the bag.
I still wonder which one is the most comfortable to wear and if they cause any shoulder pain!?

I understand that the bags are higher quality but the price is very high! With an above avg. salary but considering other expenses… how it is possible to save for a 4k bag??? I cannot justify the high price unfortunately because bags get destroyed as well. The “investment” I hear from all the influencers its bullshit except if you are not going to use them. If you use them, then the resell value drops dramatically. Scratches, dirt etc…
I mean I suppose that's partly what makes it "luxury" in that is exclusive and out of reach to the average person. I couldn't justify paying £4K for a bag either, but then again I know I'm not their target market.

Goyard doesn't wear well enough for me to justify the cost. And the aesthetic is not one I like on top of it. I am dying for a Bulgari bag. They are delicious.
