Elif DJ SET from Cyprus, 2024

Few months ago I played a super fun show in Cyprus, and with my new friends from Flex gathered the next day on the old port and threw a super intimate sunset party and recorded this 1 hour set. I played exclusively my music or music from my label Marginalia

Great video. Just out of interest, was this filmed in Northern Cyprus? If so, looks awesome! I saw that there was both a Turkish and a Cypriot flag on top of the fort-type building. Seemed an interesting location. And of course, a great video Elif!

Filmed in Kyrenia in Northern Cyprus. The castle in the background was built by the Venetian colonisers in the 16th century over the old Crusader fortification - and they in turn surrendered without fight to the Ottoman Empire in 1571, following the fall of Nicosia. Nearby Famugusta famously put up a brave but futile resistance afterwards, eventually falling after a brutal 11 month siege. The fate of the Venetian commander there, Marco Antonio Bragadin, was particularly gruesome. There's a lot of fascinating history in that part of the world.
