HIGHLIGHTS: White Sox Defeat Cubs at Camelback Ranch (3.15.24)

The Chicago White Sox faced crosstown rivals, Chicago Cubs, at Camelback Ranch!
Chris Flexen got the start for the Sox going 4.0 IP with 5 hits and 1 K. Steven Wilson, Deivi García and Tanner Banks all tossed solid innings of relief. Banks went 2.0 IP with 3 K.
The Cubs started off the scoring in the 2nd inning as Brennen Davis doubled on a ground ball to Andrew Benintendi, scoring Alexander Canario. Miles Mastrobuoni followed by driving in Brennen Davis on a ground-rule double to left field.
Their lead didn’t last long! Paul DeJong launched a 2-run homer to left field, bringing home Andrew Vaughn. It was DeJong’s 3rd home run of Spring Training.
Andrew Benintendi showed off the defense with a diving play in left field to end the top of the 3rd!
In the bottom of the 3rd, Andrew Vaughn doubled on a line drive to Alexander Canario, driving in Danny Mendick to take the lead, 3-2.
The Chicago White Sox defeated the Chicago Cubs, 3-2, at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, AZ.

Zavala Pros: kid wants to do anything to get better. Has a terrific eye and knowledge of strike zone and wants to even improve the eye. Zavala Cons: Unbalanced sort of wild swing with super high leg kick.
