Everyone keeps suggesting Magneto as an easy tank but I am straight trash at this hero. I am better with literally every other tank; he just doesn't jive with me. Thanks for the tips so hopefully next time isn't so bad.
Great vid. First character I'm actually able to climb with haha. I didn't know about the AOE bit at all since the tooltips aren't super specific -- definitely going to help in those last hit situations. While he's not too flashy, I love the stability this guy brings to the table. Feels amazing to block 90 incoming projectiles at once for the squad xD
How are his projectiled both slow moving, only 15 meters, and kind of weak. His shield is on cool down, his wall is on a resource meter Hes slow moving, almost non existent CC And he doesnt feel like a complete character without scarlet witch. :( that move should be his right click, but weaker, with left always cc bumping people... Teamup should just make it to where it is now. Idk hes my favorite and im maining him no matter what, but he doesnt feel good.
I don't know man. He feels pretty damn underwhelming to me. Maybe because I'm used to OW tanks, and the only other tank I like to play is Penny Parker which has a lot more kill potential in my experience. Magneto just feels like an extremely shitty version of Sigma, without his boulder which would do a lot of burst damage, without the ability to bounce his projectiles, without the ability to self sustain with a suck ability, without the ability to position his barrier any further than an inch in front of him... I can see why people wouldn't want to play tank if this is how they're gonna go about it moving forward (hopefully not).
I think it's because of how nerfed he is compared to the actual character. Just doesn't feel like Magneto, and he's slow af compared to the other tanks. I understand they gotta balance it for the game, but I feel like they could've done a better job, especially because he belongs more in the duelist role, as he's a powerhouse and doesn't have much resilience lore wise. You could unalive him with a sharpened wooden spoon ffs 😂 Idk who chose to put him in a tank role. I'd love to see him flying about like iron man, incapacitating people depending on how much metal they have on them, filling people full of metal to increase the cc, blocking and shooting back projectiles, creating metal barriers, etc. Would be so much better as an all round duelist.
Great tips! I didn’t know the bubbles charged that fast. So essentially: Mag combo (basic, Cannon, basic) Mag offensive combo ( Self bubble, Basic, Max Cannon, Basic, Cannon/Basic) Mag defense combo (Ally bubble, Max cannon, shield or basic, 75%-Max cannon)
I honestly think the knockback is a weak cc. Imo, it should always knock back regardless of charge. Or change it from a knock back to a short stun. Also his passive is the worst passive in the game. Literally every character that has the same ability of holding when falling to slow fall has it tied to their passive or other ability whereas Magnetos passive is just that.

Whenever I pick Magneto I always lose despite how well I think I'm playing. I always try to focus on the objective and always do lots of damage. I don't know if I'm just awful or what the problem is.
Do you have more magneto gameplay like in this video you can upload, I'd love to watch that I got 10 hours into him so far he's my fav to play and I love watching others play him especially when they are good
As a Magneto main, having two bubbles would indeed be broken. I'd initially thought the same of giving him 2 bubble usages, however when you realize just how good the bubble is, you will retract that statement. It literally blocks EVERY source of damage in the game, as well as not being cc'd.
I don't know why they made Magneto so weak. He's crazy powerful in the comics but here the worst he can do is hurl a ball of junk at you. Not very impressive.

Yep! His bubble can just say NO to every ability in the game.

Agree with passive but for the knockback i think it would be cool to knockback and stun if you knock the opponent into a wall or anything

Imo if you have compotent supports and a Dive tank with you, he can be very good at pushing the payload or holding the Domination Zone.
