I have to say that you are one of the people in the artist world that inspire me the most... I adore your art so much.
My biggest flaw when I draw is that I am too hung up on details... for instance when I draw a bird I get too hung up on where certain markings should be in the feathers, I get too hung up in finding the exact perfect shade of a color when coloring etc etc
It´s becoming a hindrance in my art and I hate it so I have a goal right now to become more loose with my art and not focus too much on details 😊

No water bottle in the intro, how dare you🫣 loving your super casual sketches, and every time I see you using that pilot bravo I’m like thisclose to getting one for myself. It looks like the lines are sooo black and luscious! I use pens a lot and they’re constantly drying out on me and I’m always looking for perfect one.

Since your talking about inspirations I can definitely say your one of my inspirations 💕 especially now with hearing that you decided to draw 5 years ago and this led you to this business. I’m looking into something like this for me too but I’ve always been a bit self conscious with making art but now I’m like ‘what the heck? Why not?’ And gonna try it out and see how it goes. I’m also looking into handcrafting stuff too and just being creative. I write but I think I haven’t used my artistic side of my brain as much over the years so I’m excited to tap into it. Loved the video as always! :)
So watching you paint, I couldn’t stop looking over at the paint palette and thinking that it looked like a painting itself. The different splotches look like a forest scene with a big brush of flowers, it’s so pretty. And even adding to it as you painted only enhanced the vision I saw. So weird, I know. XD

I LOVE your drawing sessions with the Pilot Bravo pen! It inspired me to get the same pen, and I love using it! Just wish it were more water resistant so I could use some watercolor or markers with them sometimes. Hoping you do more of these. 😁

Your my inspiration. I can totally relate with all household stuff and noises and messes and trying to create, it’s not an easy feat. Also being a full time mommy and trying to create a balance between my time is a struggle. it’s one of my ultimate goals to have my own studio space.

I did get an inexpensive one for my BIG sketchbook. My little wasn’t super expensive but it wasn’t cheap 🤠

i really love the 'idea' of this lifestyle and taking my art to that kind of level BUT when i hear you talk about wanting real work/life balance and when i see how much work you have to do that isn't just creating...it makes me nervous. i've always worried about artmaking becoming a high pressure situation. not saying i'd be BIG, but i've done etsy as well and i see where the potential is...i guess i have some fear of success? lol. if that makes sense.
Totally makes sense. The job I'm doing now outside of creating is weird and you have to kind of figure everything out on your own! It's daunting and you don't know what to expect.

For me it is so interesting how you paint such a strong beground color after you painted such a detailed, fine lines kind of a bouquet. I'm new to gouache, and trying to get a grasp on the technic.
What kind of brush do you use with gouache? I prefer the flat ones, but yours is an interesting long bristle one, and I like the process of how it paints and also the result :)
I really don’t know what brushes I use haha. They’re just cheap ones I have lying around!

Yesss the sketchbooks I have the same once started a particular way it feels you need to keep on the same trend which ended up the sketchbooks were waiting for ever to be continued but last I challenged my self for 100 days finishing one of those "pending" sketchbooks without looking to the first pages and go for it which made I finished two of them already , yeahhh , why giving ourselves those "rules" free spirits as we are 🤔🤭let's just dive in to them and 'ruin' them creatively 😂

So, the pilot bravo pen. Is it good for linework and to use with alcohol based markers? I’m trying to find a good liner to use.
It does bleed with water media… idk about alcohol markers but I’d think it would bleed.

Do you ever get any alone time anymore? Seems like your roomate is always there now. And if you dont really, how do you handle that? I share a very small space with my partner and find it really hard to concentrate on creative things when hes around. But I want him around, but I want my creative space...HAAAAAALP.
hahaha relatable. I don't get very much alone time any more. I don't love it but we are working into a routine now where James isn't talking to me all day. I'm introverted and get really exhausted around people so I had to set some boundaries to preserve my energy. I've definitely cut down on time spent with people outside of work because of it so idk if I've figured it out yet.
