Great album from the young Jonny Lang. I believe his follow up album "Wander This World" (1998) is his best album. First track "Still Rainin'" is a must to check out.
Love me some Johnny Lang. He's been at it since a very young age with the voice far beyond his years! First time I heard him sing and play, I was just 😮😳🥰
I was fortunate enough to see Jonny play when we were on vacation on the Big Island at the Kona Brewery. He was amazing live. And for someone to have such soul at 16 is tremendous. Bekka Bramlett- the backup singer is off the chain too!
If you ever get the opportunity to see him “live”, jump on it…I got to see him, Kenny Wayne Shepard and Robert Cray in one night…totally awesome…respect…
The brunette with bangs is Bekka Bramblett, daughter of Delaney & Bonnie. It's hard to believe Jonny was so young when this album dropped. Another great tune from that album is "Good Morning Little School Girl."
album Smokin' when Lang was 14. He was signed to A&M Records in 1996.[1] He released Lie to Me on January 28, 1997.[1] The next album, Wander this World, was released on October 20, 1998, and earned a Grammy nomination. This was followed by the more soulful Long Time Coming on October 14, 2003. Lang also made a cover of Edgar Winter's "Dying to Live". Lang's 2006 album, the gospel-influenced Turn Around, won him his first Grammy Award.[4]
I still get the same sense of awe every time I hear this that I felt the first time. I'm always amazed at someone having so much talent at such a young age. Much respect to Jonny.
Wow, I loved this. This young man definitely has soul. Would love to hear more. I too thought of Black Crowes when the ladies started singing back up. What a talent.
I live in the UK. Couldn’t sleep one night 25+ years ago, these things happen. In the wee small hours of a Saturday morning, these wasn’t much on apart from 24 hour news, Mtv and Vh1, both when they actually, believe it or not, played music! Well anyways, flicking through the channels, and I hear THIS!! Hooked ever since!! I have on a few occasions, done the same and found some great music on then time of day being played only once, and that’s a crazy shame that real talent is hard to find while generic glass of water is everywhere!!
Great reaction. Hey Biz my Man. WOULD you PLEASE react to Bob Seger's version of the Christmas classic, "The Little Drummer Boy?" It's the BEST VERSION Ever! Great channel Bro!
Johnny starting out at 25 yrs old was so far ahead of his time and way beyond his years, I have all his albums he is great. The album "wander this world" is my favorite, the whole album is greater than great. For a kid playing and singing the blues is just awesome!
He was 14 when he wrote this song, 15 when he contracted with A&M records and recorded it, and 16 when he made this video. The album wander this world was his second album A year later at age 17.
Johnny Lang Walking Away
Pick any song from wander this world! You won't be disappointed! Breaking me l, walking away, second guessing........ All are 🔥!
I love JL.. also joss stone was so young when we heard her soul.
Great tune. Hard to believe he's 16 when he recorded this.
Just a kid from North Dakota who's dad took him to blues bars when he was really young. He picked it up fast! Just amazing!
This whole album is Amazing! He’s got an old soul.
One of my favorites.
Listen to his song "Still Raining"

I really couldn't say which one is better, but they sound quite different, I like them both!
Love me some Johnny Lang. He's been at it since a very young age with the voice far beyond his years! First time I heard him sing and play, I was just 😮😳🥰
You MUST listen to Jonny Lang's Breakin Me! How a 16 year old kid can project so MUCH pain and angst in his performance is beyond incredible

Check out his cover of the late great Luther Allisons song Red Cherry Wine
Jonny Lang "Walking Away" live in Germany! A must see, IMO....for all who've suffered lost love.
So much talent! And very underrated imo. Thanks Biz, love this one
A 15 Year Old with a Baby Face with THAT Voice. Sweet Jesus
I watched him perform this live when he was 16.
Soul in this guy. Moves me.
Love his work. You can plug Johnny in with any blues you are listening to and he fits right in Biz. Pop some Walter Trout on sometime Biz.
Fire!!!! More of Johnny Lang! 💋
Johnny Lang was great - such a voice!!
Love him. Saw him in concert with Buddy Guy. It was fantastic.
A QUITTER NEVER WINS

It was great to see this kid at the time, keeping the blues alive with his deep raspy voice. Still Raining off the next album was epic
Thanks so much for listening to him!!
"I AM" a track from the second album is a must listen
Every thing I ever heard from Jonny Lang was fire! I think you will love Blues rock guitarist Samantha Fish her style is very similar to Jonny Lang
It's about time this guy has so much soul and he sheds on the guitar and that was at the age of 16 years old
You nailed it Biz, more Jonny for sure!
I still get the same sense of awe every time I hear this that I felt the first time. I'm always amazed at someone having so much talent at such a young age. Much respect to Jonny.
Yep and he was 15 here !!!! my god
Great reaction Biz. The boys got talent!!
He crushed that, then crushed what he crushed. He wrote it at 15!
He's BACK!
Fantastic

Wow, I loved this. This young man definitely has soul. Would love to hear more. I too thought of Black Crowes when the ladies started singing back up. What a talent.

Yeah, he's great isn't he? 😊
Jonny was just a kid/ teenager when he did this.
Great reaction.
Hey Biz my Man.
WOULD you PLEASE react to Bob Seger's version of the Christmas classic, "The Little Drummer Boy?"

How bout some Subdues band outta ATL … All the time in the world. Soul at its best.
He did this at 15??!! Uh he’s been here before. 😊
Kenny Wayne Shepard is another in this vein.
amazing young talent - blew out his vocal chords fast due to inadequate vocal training/technique
He's got a mouth like Mick Jagger and moves and sounds like Joe Cocker.
Thought he was going to take up Stevie Ray Vaughn's spot.
Sadly he may never sing again, He evidently did damage that he may never come back from .. Hes been home with his Wife and 5 Kids chillin'
Lost his voice but still one helluva an axe man.

He like the GREAT BB.King but he is white he has so much soul in all his music.
Man, I'm telling you he was HOT for 23 minutes! But, lie To Me, and Rack 'em up were about it. He fizzeled out before he was old enough to buy a beer.
many more amazing songs...i believe he turned to gospel music.
He don't look like that no mo !
He tore up his voice and was medically ordered not to sing for two years. Does anyone know if he came back?
He's like BB king. He just sings and plays the leads. Little rhythm
He was 15yrs old wgeb this came out. He had a part in one of the blues brothers movies
