I am the youngest of 10 children. My mother was the matriarch of 82 until her death 11 months ago. My oldest sister is the only one who doesn't have any children.... at least not until 11 months ago. She's now the matriarch of 81. As my mom said, "You can't have too many parents!"

This is exactly how I cried when my baby brother got married. I am 15 years older than him, I raised him... he was my little angel who could do no wrong. And when he came out of the room to take his place at the altar, I ugly cried.. then cried some more when my sister in law came out. And of course he asked me to give the speech, I had to stop every 4th word because I was choking up! A sibling bond is such a beautiful thing... and with me being so much older than him, I felt like a mom to him sometimes. He's 21 now, a father, husband, and a soldier, and I couldn't be more proud of baby brother ❤ Such a sweet video, reminded me of that day in December.

God called Daddy home first, then Mama, then the oldest brother, then the brother after him. I didn’t think anything in my life would hurt as much as loosing Daddy, I was definitely a Daddy’s girl. I was wrong, when I lost my oldest brother, I lost part of myself. Seems my entire life changed. The reason I saw this video, is because I’ve been listening to sad country songs for hours. Holidays are the same anymore. I miss 7 kids running down the stairs on Christmas morning, everyone making me go first, because Daddy wouldn’t do anything to me for getting up so early!

I have two and sadly, our parents used me as the scapegoat and never allowed any relationships to grow between us. Once my mother is dead there will no longer be contact between them. Thankfully, I raised my children differently and after I’m gone I know they will always have each other.
