    #suggestion Agad, here is something I recommend showing, the most beautiful unplayed attacking combination I've ever seen, the game is van der Wiel - Piket 1986: 1.e4 d6 2.d4 Nf6 3.Nc3 g6 4.Be3 c6 5.Qd2 b5 6.e5 Ng4 7.exd6 Nxe3 8.Qxe3 Qxd6 9.a4 Bg7 10.Nf3 bxa4 11.Rxa4 O-O 12.Ne4 Qc7 13.Qa3 Bf5 14.Bd3 Nd7 15.O-O Nb6 16.Ra6 Rfd8 17.Qc3 Nd5 18.Qc5 Qb7 19.Qa3 Nf4 20.Nc5 Qc8 21.Rxa7 Rxa7 22.Qxa7 and here black played ...Bxd3 and the game was a quiet draw, but he missed the following beautiful combination: ...Bh3!! 23.gxh3 Qxh3 24.Ne1 Be5!! 25.dxe5 Rxd3!! 26.f3 Rd1! 27.Ncd3 Qg2+!! 28.Nxg2 Nh3+ 29.Kh1 Rxf1+ 30.Qg1 Rxg1#

Thanks for these rapid games, @agadmator. There are so many chess tutorials, chess books and chess channels online these days, but finding one that the player explains their thought processes and tricks and traps, as they play the game, is not as easy to find. You put your ratings on the line at the same time as explaining your moves, and that's much harder to find. Awesome stuff.

I play the cxd4 move all the time and allow Bb4+ with the Kf1 retreat. It's much better than the same in the Giuoco where Black already has the Knight on f6. A good half of the opponents blunder a minor piece with d6, allowing the d5 push with Qa4+ threatened.

  • @preparedsurvivalist2245

I don't know what was worse, black blundering the fork TWICE when he was up on time, or offering a queen trade when he's down material, with absolutely no tactical advantage or purpose in doing so.

Moving the king out of check to f1 seems very counter-intuitive, but I think it actually works best, as it allows you to develop your queenside pieces aggressively rather than passively. A quick g3 followed by Kg2 then unleashes the h1 rook to help out with the crushing attack on Black's clunky position. But what do I know?

1:08 capturing the d4 pawn was ok even according to the engine. But here I'm really surprised you missed bishop to D2 or even knight to C3 so you can be able to castle afterwards. Anyway I guess it was early morning ;) Very well played overall you are amazing

    • @KaptnJolly
      @KaptnJolly 8 месяцев назад

Kf1 is better than both of your suggested moves (according to engine). Nc3 hangs the knight and also a rook btw. you probably meant knight to d2. the engine does not like Kf1 at lower depth but if you look at lichess they have a big cloud of opening moves and this position is in there, pre-calculated at depth 38 with sf16. and Kf1 is one of the two best moves (together with Nbd2).
and as a big fan of the evans gambit: capturing d4 is definetly okay, but the ideas of the evans gambit are very crazy and agressive and you are kinda stabilizing the position by capturing, losing the initiative.

2nd: Hans Niemann = next Bobby Fischer
    - Wesley So = current Bobby Fischer
    - Bobby Fischer's ghost = old Bobby Fischer
    - Beth Harmon = Bobby Fischer in another universe
Each of these 4 'is a prodigy, had a rather dark childhood and is American'.
    Speaking of Wesley So
Hikaru's (the rapid WFRCC) wife almost beat Wesley So's (the classical WFRCC) girlfriend!
2023 USCC - Indeed Carissa Yip won and thanked Wesley So as her secret second in the 2023 USCC closing ceremony speech.
But in Carissa vs Atousa, Carissa was losing most of the game. Atousa just blundered in the end.

Hi Antonio, when it comes to chess my favourite youtubers are you and an Italian fellow called @superspeedscacchi
Funny thing is that you are both fixated with a specific gambit (the Evan's for you and the Italian gambit for him) and you both claim it's the definitive opening. It would be fun if you get each other in touch and organize a mini tournament in order to put those claims to proof.
