We are going to heraklion in April,gouves is my favourite place,especially mylos taverna,we stayed in ourania apartments,it was lush,we just stayed in lasithi recently,in April we are staying in piskopiano,we will visit gouves soon,I can't wait :)
Is there anything left of the Blue Sky taverna which used to be on that street run by a local guy called Yiannis? When I first visited Gouves 30 years ago there was hardly anything on that road to the beach, a small hotel, a few shops dotted along it and the Blue Sky half way down with a bar called the St Tropez at the bottom. It's now so built up it is almost unrecognisable.
