    Just watched your video, I didn’t know that if you only have 10 payments or less on your car that it wouldn’t be considered as debt. That’s really great to know. Please keep documenting your Naca journey…. You’ve mentioned things that aren’t noted in other Naca videos that I’ve watched.

      I was kind of surprised by that also because I didn’t see it on the other videos either..lol. I will definitely keep documenting and I appreciate you for watching!

    I'm glad you added info about base rent vs addons because I was wondering about that. I have pet rent, heat, trash and water added to my base rent, so now I know NACA only takes into account that base amount on my lease. That's too bad, since it'll make my payment shock higher.

      I’m glad I was able to help! I was shocked because I hadn’t thought about it like that. It really does make a difference when you’re trying to find where the extra savings will come from.

    Thank you for sharing. I didyknow about not using Zelle for certain things. I understand now how that can be an issue. No one I have watched has said that.

      Yea me too! I thought it would’ve been okay because it was through the bank but they treat it just like CashApp and it just makes it more work for you. Thank you for watching!!

    Thank you for sharing. It was helpful. Now I know to leave my money in my savings account. I'm good with saving I just need to leave it in the bank to show on paper the growth pattern.
    I signed up for a naca workshop beginning next month in March 2022. I'm hoping to gain more insight. I want to buy a home.
    Thank you
    I wish you success in home ownership

      @@PottersPages yes I did! I was qualified March 3rd so I’m currently in the housing search now. I have to edit my latest update and then I’ll post it hopefully over the next couple of days.

    I am doing the payment shock now. I know they say you have to spend very little. I’m saving the amount they ask for but it seems like I spent more than I made for the month of December. Would they give me a problem for that?

    What if you are living with parents? Would they accept a letter?

    • @PrissyKrissy15
      @PrissyKrissy15  2 года назад +1

      Yes, I believe so. From my understanding, they will require a letter from your parents saying that you pay no rent or the amount that you pay.
      Then your bank statements would have to show the payments to the your parents for rent or you saving the future mortgage amount each month in your account.
      It’s kind of hard to explain in text but they do go over it in the homebuyer’s workshop. I hope this helps!!

    Hi Prissy. Do you know if you could use a downpayment program with the NACA program?

    • @PrissyKrissy15
      @PrissyKrissy15  2 года назад +1

      Hi! Yes, you can but I believe they NACA has restrictions on which program you’re allowed to use in each state/area. A counselor would have more info about it though!

    So if I live at home I wouldn’t qualify since I don’t pay rent?

    • @Felicia-cw3cs
      @Felicia-cw3cs Год назад

      You're qualify. Depending on what you want to pay in mortgage, you'll need that in your savings account (+200). Ideally 3-6 months. You'll want that same amount increase each month in your checking account. Don't move money to your savings!

    • @BR-jh7gn
      @BR-jh7gn Год назад +2

      Why shouldn’t you move the money to your savings?

    Can your contributions to your 401k be counted toward payment shock?

    • @PrissyKrissy15
      @PrissyKrissy15  2 года назад

      That’s a good question and I’m not sure. I don’t think so though because it would be hard to show the monthly pattern when statements are quarterly (at least mine are). I think if it is deducted from your account AFTER you’re paid then maybe. But honestly that’s a question for your mortgage counselor because I’m not sure.

    • @sali6522
      @sali6522 2 года назад

      In my class they said you can use your 401k towards down payment and as reserve. I am not fully sure.
      So maybe you can use money you have coming in from work, then use the 401k for down payment and reserve.
