This is my first season with my Ariens Kraken that I got to clear my 400' driveway and parking/garage apron areas...I have not experiences a full bucket so far but man---it will be satisfying when I finally need to!
@@smallblock412 Considering buying a Kraken to use at home instead of the Simplicity, Did you see my Simplicity "cowboy" video? Would you reccomend the Kraken after testing it yourself?
I've heard that this thing is hard to reverse when you're in "dig in" mode where you lock the smaller wheel, how true is that? And can we please get some more videos of snowblowing? Need to get rid of the snow before it melts tomorrow and then refreezes later next weekend, I had to shovel the balcony here in Drammen tonight because of this :D
Hehe, I was on my garage roof last night before the rain came, risking my life 🙂The dig in mode is something I never use actually. Not good for anything. Reverse works fine in both wheelmode and trak-mode. A lot of winter this year in our area, wonder how it will be in March! It is already more than enough snow and I dont know where to throw it...
Hi Mike, both yes and no. I do like the much stronger engine of the Ariens compared to Yamaha 1028 or Honda 928. Huge difference. The Autoturn are fabulous using it around my cabin walls. And the EFI system without primer and choke are clearly easier to pull-start. So in general I must say I would not trade to any similar priced Yamaha or Honda. The Yamaha has better traction if my memory serves me right, but no trigger steering. The Honda have very good ergonomics and feels user friendly with electric chute and nice triggers. All in all I guess these different machines can be a winner depending on the needs you have where you use the snowblower. I cannot have more than 28" where I use mine, so the only option would be the the Yamaha YS1028JA with electromagnetic triggers. That is an interesting machine. 🙂
I work on all makes and model of power equipment and I can say, hands down the Ariens Pro series units are by far the toughest built and best balanced walk behind blowers i've run across.
@@trustyoldiron5416 Hi, yes I do think the Ariens Pro machines are up there with the best. Yamaha are also really balanced and solid buildt. Honda are very popular but since 2015 the quality is down a little.
Man, that thing is a Monster!
Yes Sir!
This was obviously the perfect amount of snow! Lucky you, I would love to work with that machine!
I guess you would have used it to perfection! And yes just the perfect amount of snow 🙂
