I like the d4dj is more inline with remixes while being covers of the songs, they change the instrumentals but I like how Bandori keeps the instrumentals
i apologize if my video seemed like it was a way to start an argument between the 2 fandoms, my intention was to make a clear comparison of the covers because of how different it sounds next to eachother. i do hope that if people will argue about which one is better, they wont throw unnecessary hate onto the VAs. I’m actually surprised at how many more D4DJ covers I prefer in comparison to the Bandori ones. The Bandori covers aren’t bad by any means! However, I think I prefer the more upbeat mixes a lot of the D4DJ covers bring. I love how both franchises really personalize the original songs!

Actually there is a chance we would get the solo covers full versions. The recent albums of Happy Around and Peaky P_key feature full versions of the solo covers of every of the members of each unit
I like D4DJ version, but I love Bandori version the most😊 I play both. But you can't compare which one is better between the two because they have different musical styles. It just depends on personal taste of each😌 And for Fansa, i love the original song the most, cause i am a fan of Mona-Chan😁

That means that D4DJ First Mix takes place 2 Japanese School years after Bandori Season 3 ended. In general, Calendars in Anime can give you a hint at what year they take place if the year isn't mentioned.

before I played d4dj i already played bandori before hand and i didnt know thet d4dj had cover songs too. tbh it is as expected as their groups are DJs so it does sound like a DJ/remix cover instead of a band cover like what is done in bandori. both has its own style and so cool!
As an ejoyer of both i love both covers! I like that both change the instrumentals to match the themes of each group / to match the vocals Especially with d4dj whith their whole theme

As someone who know D4DJ -> Bandori I think I want to give comment from my POV as well..! Tbh I'm used to prefer D4DJ covers before listen to and know more about Bandori, but then I noticed about Bandori group's styles and it definitely makes more sense. D4DJ remixes give new kind of styles at times while Bandori feels closer to the original song at some cases. I like these touches. I'd like to highlight few songs comparison - Agehachou: The fact that these two units (Morfonica, Peaky P-Key) are in different genre yet both are good in their own styles.. I love the diverse view - Blue Bird: I'm used to not liking Poppin' Party's cover, but it definitely feels closer than original now and I like it. Photon Maiden version is still being my favorite thou. I wasn't expecting the remix, it gives a space nuance like how their unit theme is about universe, that kind of thing to me. - Daydream Cafe: Poppin' Party version was feeling too slow to me, but knowing more about the unit I now also like this version. The dialogues feel more natural on Poppin' Party version! BUT. HAPPY AROUND VERSION, it's fast but really fits with them!! Definitely my fav cover from Happy Around - Moonlight Densetsu: Props on Bandori to have vocals from mixed units, and keeping the original tempo I think? I used to love D4DJ version, but now Bandori version won my heart. The thing about bandori is that everything sounds almost the same (since rock bands) but they also focus on strong vocals d4dj focuses on both different style, "clean" instrumentals (you hear difference between rondo's rock and roselia's one) and they experiment with vocals (GO cover by M4 for example) I have a feeling that bandori doesn't go beyond their boundaries(?) like they stay only in the band band sphere without anything extra (idk for me all of these just sound very similar and I would have hardship to differ between units' styles? Maybe the cuter ones are like really different but still) while D4 has a clear line between each unit's style and I think that's what makes it so precious to me. Love this series and I want it to be more appreciated by people instead of saying that it's the "bandori copy" (well we can say that about proseka too but who does that???)

Interesting comparison! I personally only play Bang Dream. There are some songs that i personally think Bang Dream are better eg Cruel Angel Thesis and Daydream Cafe and Discotheque. Some songs D4DJ are better eg unravel, seikai wa hitotsu janai, kaibutsu, storyteller, happy material Some songs i didnt hear the original version before though. May be abit bias as i love Roselia alot. And D4DJ sound kinda too “pop”(?) or rock for me
I'm glad the comments aren't filled with that kind of discourse, the fans of each game seem very civil to each other. Like, I personally prefer D4DJ (I used to play Bandori, but there got to be too many bands and I think they changed the rhythm game lane design from 5 lanes to 6 and that made it harder for me), so I sadly uninstalled Bandori. Even though I no longer play Bandori, the music is still amazing. The main reason I prefer D4DJ is the remix aspect of it. Like, when a song such as Unravel is announced in Bandori, we know it's gonna be Roselia singing it. Who else would get that song? But with remixing, that same song could go to any unit in D4DJ, and that's exciting! It's fun to hear songs I love remixed in ways I'd have never expected

As a concert goer who loves loud, in your face instrumentals and higher bpm rhythm game music, I prefer D4DJ, though I can appreciate Bandori for really keying in and trying to get the same vibes of the original songs as much as they can.
As a player of these game... I love both~ If I want to listen to band then I'll go to Bandori, and if I want to listen to DJ then I'll go to D4DJ... As for D4DJ, I like the gameplay... But I stuck at normal, can't go higher level XD. Bandori is easier for me. And if I want to compare... I'll compare the characters. D4DJ characters design are more brave and unique than Bandori... Bandori is cute, but the design not really brave and creative. But for vocal, I like Bandori more, I'm biased with powerful voice and high notes, Bandori has it all... They have Yukina, Ran, and Layer.
What really gives me chills is Namaenonai Kaibutsu (Roselia & RONDO). I started liking the original when I played D4DJ and was so baffled when it was covered in bandori. I love how I got to see them side to side here 🤯💕

Photon Maiden's covers are AWESOME! Most units just pump it up with a strong beat and techno sounds, except Rondo, which doesn't stray much from the original sound. But Photon is so special! Wow! I also liked Merm4id's Discotheque way better than PasuPare's, although I like PasuPare's version very much.
Okay 5:12 i'm a d4dj bias, but i like Ready Steady Go by Afterglow than Photon Maiden, maybe its the rock? there's not enough bass on the Photon cover, thats what i'm missing.
This might have to be updated to include PasuPare and PARE- I mean, Esora's covers of Fuwa-Fuwa Time. Anyway, I personally prefer a lot of the Bandori covers, though there are some exceptions, such as Merm4id's cover of Discotheque and Abyssmare's cover of Kaibutsu (I'm sorry, Kasumi 😭) and also, to an extent, Mariika's cover of Lum's Love Song. Also, whenever I see a song that both Roselia and Photon Maiden covered, it's always a cruel reminder of how CHU² wanted to produce Yukina and Roselia so badly, but was rejected by Yukina herself. What I've always appreciated Bang Dream anime covers, is that the cover arts actually compliment the first few seconds of an anime opening or ending.
Another song that wasn't mentioned here is BLACK SHOUT by roselia. ik it isnt a cover song technically but PEAKY P-KEY also covered BLACK SHOUT

As someone who know D4DJ -> Bandori I think I want to give comment from my POV as well..! Tbh I'm used to prefer D4DJ covers before listen to and know more about Bandori, but then I noticed about Bandori group's styles and it definitely makes more sense. D4DJ remixes give new kind of styles at times while Bandori feels closer to the original song at some cases. I like these touches. I'd like to highlight few songs comparison
- Agehachou: The fact that these two units (Morfonica, Peaky P-Key) are in different genre yet both are good in their own styles.. I love the diverse view
- Blue Bird: I'm used to not liking Poppin' Party's cover, but it definitely feels closer than original now and I like it. Photon Maiden version is still being my favorite thou. I wasn't expecting the remix, it gives a space nuance like how their unit theme is about universe, that kind of thing to me.
- Daydream Cafe: Poppin' Party version was feeling too slow to me, but knowing more about the unit I now also like this version. The dialogues feel more natural on Poppin' Party version! BUT. HAPPY AROUND VERSION, it's fast but really fits with them!! Definitely my fav cover from Happy Around
- Moonlight Densetsu: Props on Bandori to have vocals from mixed units, and keeping the original tempo I think? I used to love D4DJ version, but now Bandori version won my heart. You can feel the nostalogy vibe more from Bandori version.
- READY STEADY GO: AFTERGLOW WON THIS ONE THIS IS MY FAVORITE BANDORI COVER THEY WON RAN WON I LOVE THIS COVER SO MUCH--- (Maybe there's a hidden meaning why the do fast remix for Photon Maiden but it's 'ruining' the meaning for me, surprisingly not as powerful as other covers from the unit)
- Synchrogazer: Roselia slays but PHOTON MAIDEN VERSION IS VERY GODLY MAGNIFICENT IT FEELS LIKE I'M GROWING MY WINGS ESPECIALLY THE FULL VERSION YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO SAKI'S DAKARA WARATTE AUKH MY SOUL- I'M SORRY THAT'S HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS COVER
- Unravel: ALL OF THESE COVER SLAYS IN THEIR OWN WAY ACTUALLY!!! I was listening to a mix of this song with epsilon from Argonavis. I love all three so much!! Feels like all of them have their own interpretation I"M TOTTALY IN. Morfonica? Majestic. Rondo? Slays. Epsilon? Hardcore. I'M NOT EVEN A TOKYO GHOUL FAN?!??
- Kanade: I just listened to Pastel Palettes version recently and I have to say that it's very good. What they did to Hiiro is... Man the overlapping vocals.. I can't justify this I'm sorry :")
- Maware! Setsugetsuka: Since I know D4DJ before Unichord, I actually know Bandori's version first and NGL Hello Happy World version has attached to me too well DFJKSJSDJSP Unichord version is good but Hello Happy World's is LEGENDARY..
- Red Fraction: Now this one is interesting, I feel that I need to point this because both Roselia and Abyssmare feels 'similar', genre wise, yet they're bringing the song in 'different' way. Both version are good! I like both.
- UNION: I READ A COMMENT IN HERE WHERE YOU LISTEN TO TWO AIMIS AND I WAS LIKE OH YEAH THEY'RE RIGHT LMAO. ACTUALLY. I LOVE BOTH SO MUCH!! Poppin' Party version feels more fresh and warm, while Peaky P-key version feels more energetic and pumpy!
Also not in here because Bandori's the original but I have to mention that I was used to love Merm4id's version of EXPOSE BURN OUT before knowing more about Bandori, but now I'M REALLY MOVED TO RAS VERSION WWWWW.

The thing about bandori is
that everything sounds almost the same (since rock bands) but they also focus on strong vocals
d4dj focuses on both different style, "clean" instrumentals (you hear difference between rondo's rock and roselia's one) and they experiment with vocals (GO cover by M4 for example)
I have a feeling that bandori doesn't go beyond their boundaries(?) like they stay only in the band band sphere without anything extra (idk for me all of these just sound very similar and I would have hardship to differ between units' styles? Maybe the cuter ones are like really different but still) while D4 has a clear line between each unit's style and I think that's what makes it so precious to me. Love this series and I want it to be more appreciated by people instead of saying that it's the "bandori copy" (well we can say that about proseka too but who does that???)
I'm feeling amazed that Roselia and Rondo covered the 1st Ed of first season of psycho-pass 4:07 and 4:23

Interesting comparison! I personally only play Bang Dream. There are some songs that i personally think Bang Dream are better eg Cruel Angel Thesis and Daydream Cafe and Discotheque. Some songs D4DJ are better eg unravel, seikai wa hitotsu janai, kaibutsu, storyteller, happy material
Some songs i didnt hear the original version before though. May be abit bias as i love Roselia alot. And D4DJ sound kinda too “pop”(?) or rock for me

Like, I personally prefer D4DJ (I used to play Bandori, but there got to be too many bands and I think they changed the rhythm game lane design from 5 lanes to 6 and that made it harder for me), so I sadly uninstalled Bandori.
Even though I no longer play Bandori, the music is still amazing.
The main reason I prefer D4DJ is the remix aspect of it. Like, when a song such as Unravel is announced in Bandori, we know it's gonna be Roselia singing it. Who else would get that song?
But with remixing, that same song could go to any unit in D4DJ, and that's exciting! It's fun to hear songs I love remixed in ways I'd have never expected

As a concert goer who loves loud, in your face instrumentals and higher bpm rhythm game music, I prefer D4DJ, though I can appreciate Bandori for really keying in and trying to get the same vibes of the original songs as much as they can.
Both cover of the songs are really impressive in their way
As a player of these game... I love both~ If I want to listen to band then I'll go to Bandori, and if I want to listen to DJ then I'll go to D4DJ...
As for D4DJ, I like the gameplay... But I stuck at normal, can't go higher level XD. Bandori is easier for me.
And if I want to compare... I'll compare the characters. D4DJ characters design are more brave and unique than Bandori... Bandori is cute, but the design not really brave and creative.
But for vocal, I like Bandori more, I'm biased with powerful voice and high notes, Bandori has it all... They have Yukina, Ran, and Layer.

Photon Maiden's covers are AWESOME! Most units just pump it up with a strong beat and techno sounds, except Rondo, which doesn't stray much from the original sound. But Photon is so special! Wow!
I also liked Merm4id's Discotheque way better than PasuPare's, although I like PasuPare's version very much.

This might have to be updated to include PasuPare and PARE- I mean, Esora's covers of Fuwa-Fuwa Time. Anyway, I personally prefer a lot of the Bandori covers, though there are some exceptions, such as Merm4id's cover of Discotheque and Abyssmare's cover of Kaibutsu (I'm sorry, Kasumi 😭) and also, to an extent, Mariika's cover of Lum's Love Song. Also, whenever I see a song that both Roselia and Photon Maiden covered, it's always a cruel reminder of how CHU² wanted to produce Yukina and Roselia so badly, but was rejected by Yukina herself. This is CHU²'s revenge, feat. Aya from Pastel*Palettes.
