i feel like bang dream vs d4dj was very unfair because more people like bandori than d4dj and a lot of people just voted bandori because they liked it more probably if there was more people who liked d4dj more it would be more fair
I mean, yeah. The Discord is primarily a Bandori server. While in general I feel the Bandori covers are better, the results are a bit skewed. I guess community rankings are skewed in nature, though.
I feel like this is inconclusive. We don't how much of a song or what parts each person listened to. We also don't know what their experiences with each game are or how long they've been playing them. I feel these are kinda important factors to know for these rankings.
@@Pingpong_Banana sekai vs bandori was a more fair vote but even so they’re picking from people who very clearly have a bias. The vote should of been taken from people who don’t know either
according to the votes (+pfps) i'm assuming that they are just used to listening to the bandori covers thats why bandori mostly wins. for me, i honestly like all the versions of covers (of course, including the originals). we really shouldn't compare them all because all of them are good.
biased voting obviously ☠️ side note: bandori has had years worth of fan base and D4DJ is recent tbh i was a bandori fan but in the past but i truly appreciate D4DJ in these covers because of how they feel so individual to the whole DJ concept so i think comparing the two is like apples and oranges everyone can have their opinions i guess
I've been playing all 3 for quite some time now, and I will say Bandori do have amazing covers. The bands just know how to make the song their own but still give it that dance type of vibe. D4DJ covers can be really melatonin depending on the band singing but it's still very nice to listen too. When it comes to Rondo's originals though they kill it. As for Puroseka/Pjsekai however you'd like to say it, has some good covers as well, but personally here most of the songs are Vocaloid songs with a few unit singers added in every now and then so it's quite hard to give it a rating because it's still the same song and not the same song at the same time whereas Bandori and D4DJ add there own styles to the song. But it still does sound amazing
i agree with that, i would sat proseka is more about being faithful to the original, while bandori and d4dj try to make a different style'd ver. of he og, which probably shifted a lot of the votes around.
@@SM-ky6pb i mean i both played bandori and prosekai also im still an vocaloid fan but tbh bandori is much fun to play ngl the songs and maps r much fun to play idk its just my opinion but ye
I have to agree even though I love both covers. Photon Maiden gives a new vibe into their covers, with just the perfect trap beats and edm (I'm now jamming to their Bluebird cover)
man i really think this was biased tbh! i prefer bandori over both games but some of the d4dj and proseka covers were WAY better then the bd ones imo ex: , namae no, ready steady, etc etc edit : i took out king 🙄
I really like how bandori makes the song feel unique imo that’s the reason I feel most people like bandori covers. D4DJ covers were really good but something is missing on them
Bandori was mostly a win for the entire set just due to the fact of how long their cover songs have been going on before D4DJ and Project Sekai and people have listened to them more than the others.
What you mean is that there is more favoritism for Bandori, D4DJ is less known and more underrated, Project sekai Is more known in the JP community since it just got their global version out recently
@@bigchongus5140 I don’t think so, I started playing project sekai before bandori and I used to like the songs in projectsekai but after I started playing bandori I Realized bandori really do have better song covers in general , probably because they’re very experienced and their instrumentals are always extremely well done so I don’t think any rhythm game will come close to bandori music-wise , ofcourse they have the advantage of being the oldest game of bunch too , but their early covers are very well done too
Project Sekai covers are using the original instrumental though, some of which released years ago while Bandori sound more fresh since they can tailor the sound to uniquely match the bands. I do like some of the covers (like Pasupare's Happysynth), however some others personally kinda lost the feeling of the original song, like HHW's Live Trial and RAS' Bring It On which I found kinda jarring lol.
@@xephenatsu5009 I know, Ghost Tokyo City also uses different instrumental. My points still stands, considering the arrangement for those doesn't really deviate too much from the original. (which isn't a bad thing either)
I didn’t expect there to be so little Proseka fans tbh I love how you can feel so the different emotions in the songs (and they don’t always sound too intense or too “cutesy”)
i like how in proseka covers, it's usually closer to the original song or fits the same vibe. for bandori and d4dj covers, it didn't really match the same style, giving more of an edgy or pumped up feeling ig. Doesn't mean its not good tho! its just it feels to -.. extra for lac of a better word :P
honestly, i love roselia but rondo did an amazing job covering the song. compared to roselia, it feels bland to me and tsubakis voice sounds incredible!
I agree with you, in terms of graphics, the game is not bad and in terms of character development, too, but I don’t really like the plot so far, there are fewer covers than in other games
@@kiwtty7507 i disagree, everything in bandori is very lighthearted in terms of story so out of all the bands, pasupare's story is one of the darkest ones that's story can fit this song. yoru ni kakeru's instrumentals would be most similar to either pasupare or poppin party too. plus, they sang karakuri pierrot before too
@@Blue-Code They have the largest audience and are the most popular in the universe due to them being idols. In the band story, they were forced into being a band instead of being regular idols which made them fake their first live's music. Unfortunately it was a fail and people noticed that it was just background music which caused huge backlash towards them, especially with how popular they are. That' just the gist of it, there's a lot more to talk about in the event stories but I'd deffo say Pasupare's story was one of the darkest and they should be able to sing Yoru ni Kakeru.
@@naxo8894You have your opinion, I respect. However, I disagree for most reasons on D4DJ gameplay. Sure, the hitbox and multi-scratch is shit, but the overall gameplay really sets it apart from any other rhythm game out there.
imo i dont get why nobody voted for most d4dj covers. to me they're like actual covers, a unit came together to make their own unique version of a song letting both its fans and fans of the original creators of the song. bandori covers certainly have clean vocals and amazing instrumentals but they sound almost identical besides a few slight changes this is of course just my own opinion tho, you can like the bandori ones for whatever reasons you have and your requirements for a good cover could be different from mine
Nah bandori does add extra instrumentals to the song, project Sekai is the one who doesn’t change anything, hell they didn’t even bother balancing the vocals between vocaloids and humans so Miku’s high pitched voice completely drowns out Leo/need’s vocalist voice
Omg what?! this is definitely the first time I've heard an opinion like this lmao. I've always heard people either complaining or liking the fact that bang dream changes the entire originality of the song bec each cover really undergo a lot of tweaks and changes to fit in their bands esp bands like afterglow and hhw compared to their og Ive never came across a bandori cover that has the same sound as their org songs lol.Ngl I like a lot of hhw covers over their og bec the songs just seem a lot more fun even though roselia produce btr org songs.D4dj have good covers but I always feel like their lacking something besides tweaking the instruments and rhythm of the song for each band :(
@@Anna-kz7km yea i agree, i wish proseka had more originality but sometimes when i listen to og songs bandori has covered i get dissapointed by bandori
@@tangytwist_fizzypop_lemonz693 yea idk, for some reason i can barely see a lot if changes between the og and the covers in bandori. when i listen to the nge op then the bandori one i can only rlly see the instrumental getting tweaked a bit and theres nothing to rlly surprise me or go "wow this is unexpected i love it" ... the only ways i can see there being difference is vocals and the previously mentioned instrumental tweakd but in d4dj covers i rlly like how the units add a specific unique thing (i do get a lot of them lack energy tho, which is why i mainly listen to the more energetic units like hapiara, merm4id and pkpk)
I think the reason why D4DJ's remixes are different is that in needs to be danceable like you know DJs, Parties and stuff I would like to see part 2 tho! If there's more covers there
Nope. They're just...bland mixes. Nijisanji launched 2 EDM mix albums and both are really good. Who makes the mix is really important, in Nijisanji case they hired pretty famous composers.
@@avanfield77 nothing?..You have to come out from own world in your head..and need some respect to pro musicians. You are just kid who wants everyone to love your favorite musics.. Kid, Elements Garden is not a 'nothing' at all..compared to your lists..

In my opinion most covers I like more project sekai because the rock style of bandori becomes repetitive, the combination of vocaloid with voices sounds more interesting to me (my opinion)
That’s fair, but sometimes the quality of the vocaloids are low, like they sound too high pitched or jarring so the vocaloids actually ruin some of the songs for me
@@Anna-kz7km honnestly sometimes how vocaloids sound in those covers is offensive to me, like it’s official and why they sound so bad or mediocore??? shouldn’t sekai ppl know how to tune? It’s not MikuKawaiii63827 cover from 2010 or something 😟😣 are they really using those unfinished nt’s smh (sorry for randomly dumping rant)
@@Anna-kz7km thats why solo covers exist xD. Anyways some solo vs. really slaps like Len's Meteor Pulse and Butterfly on your right shoulder. Also the quality kinda sucks at first because they use a different program in tuning (forgot the name) but recently it starts getting better at least.
@@simplyslow_ Those are probably the original vocaloid vocals, pretty sure the fans wouldn't be happy if the original song they listened for years got retuned too much in a game about vocaloids
I'm not saying the covers are better over the other I still like most of the Bandori covers but when you have about 20 people with Bandori icons there has to be a little bias🤷♂️
SAME like this is more like a popularity contest because the bandori has a bigger fanbase than d4dj. D4dj fanbase needs more popularity cause the game and anime are so good 🥲
Eh I think Eva Opening is better for Roselia Photon sounds so boring. But for Discotheque Merm4id is better. Synchrogazer I can't decide but I guess Photon is a bit cooler and Blue Bird I don't like any of the two covers.
heres its a thing, bandori its a cover, d4dj its a remix... so many who liked the original song will always be inclined for that. but in the end everything its subjetive
Rock is one of my favorite genres so I'm definitely going with Bandori in most of this. I also like how they make their cover song something that fits the atmosphere/theme with the group that covers it. Like, Roselia covers sound like a Roselia song, it's proof that they have a defining sound and I think that's what makes Bandori covers different. Loved the twist in some D4DJ covers too...
the only song i think doesn’t apply to this is butterfly on my left shoulder (vocaloid cover) bcs it doesn’t sound like a roselia song but other than that, totally agreed!
OK, so let me say this now. I've heard of all of these series and I've gave each of them a go so I'm trying not to be biased towards some songs here because I want each series to have their own spotlight that they do deserve. I feel that these results here, in my opinion were very biased towards bandori, possibly because its more well known than D4DJ and PSekai. But I feel that that they should have made a split so that there are an even split of people from each series so that the results not only remain unbiased, but also have variety in their results. D4DJ does a cool take on their covers by adding things to make it seem more modern or upbeat by using things that...well DJ's use and this can create a cool effect or feel of a song which can make it more upbeat or cooler. Project Sekai is a cool concept by using the vocaloid songs and doing their own renditions of it, Happy Synthesiser was originally GUMI and Luka but the cover in game is cool too by having other groups in game to do the covers also. In game you can also get the characters doing the song as a solo instead of a duo, trio or group by buying it in the store and you can feel the different vibes of each vocalist. Charles being a good example, both vocalist compliment each other well but when listening to each as solos, you can feel a difference (But this is just my opinion here). Bandori, being the most well known, has a wide range of covers and originals and this extends to their voice cast also, having many notable voice actors such as Ayane Sakura, Uesaka Sumire making appearances as characters in game (Ran and Chisato respectively) and not only that but there covers are really well done in terms of quality and their frequent collaborations with Series such as ZombieLand Saga and Rail gun give them a wider range of an audience. They have the biggest advantage in terms of exposure because of this, by having anime OP covers done by notable voices from the industry and their frequent collaborations with popular anime, which in turn attracts a large western audience. These are just my thoughts on this but if you've read all of my schpeel, then thank you and let me know what you think.
Wait, Bandori’s the most popular? Ik out of this group but I sometimes feel as if the fandom has 12 people in it. My friends (who play both but Bandori) have zero knowledge about Bandori and I can barely mention it.
Roselia's Name no Nai Kaibutsu is a bit better TBH. The cover started and finished strong while Rondo's cover started strong but it kinda felt flat at the end. I don't hate Rondo's cover tho.
A Cruel Angel’s Thesis: Definitely Bang dream. D4DJ is too chill and doesn’t deliver the same energy, it doesn’t feel right. Agehachou: Bang dream, the instrumentals fit with the sentiment of the song. Blue Bird: Not sure honestly. I like D4DJ spin on the song, it sounds pretty soothing, but Bang Dream is good too so eh Daydream Cafe: D4DJ. It sounds more hyper and I love the beat. Days: Bang dream, Saaya’s voice is too good alright Discotheque: Not sure, maybe Bang Dream ig, I like D4DJ EDM but Aya’s cutesy voice fits better with the song Namae No Nai Kaibutsu: Bang Dream. Its instrumentals are excellent and damn Yukina’s voice is powerful, but I am kinda disappointed with how little support D4DJ got cuz I really like how unique it sounds with the electric guitar and stuff. Pop Team Epic: Definitely Bang Dream. D4DJ’s take doesn’t sit right with me and I don’t like the vocal at all Ready Steady Go: Bang Dream. A powerful voice and an overall rock style is what I would expect from a cover of this song, and Bang Dream delivers all that Seikai wa Hitotsu! Janai!!: Definitely D4DJ. Again the beat is awesome, it sounds fun and the faster tempo is more appropriate imo Synchrogazer: Bang Dream. Yukina’s voice is very on point Asu no Yozora Shoukaihan: Definitely Bang Dream. This song demands a powerful voice and Project Sekai’s is just too weak in comparison Buriki no Dance: Project Sekai because I like the guys’ voices. What more reasons do you need lol Charles: Idk, Yukina hits all the high notes amazingly but I think the mood in Project Sekai’s is more fitting Dramaturgy: Yeah I know Vivid Bad Squad isn’t here, but fuck it lol I am gonna give the win to the boys because holy shit that cover is so great, yall missing out if you haven’t listened to it yet Happy Synthesizer: Bang Dream. Aya’s cutesy voice and the synthesiser are done nicely. The vocal in Project Sekai is kinda off putting for me for some reason King: Omg they are both so good wtf??? Lost One’s Weeping: No competition here, Bang Dream takes the cake. Honestly what were the vocalists of Project Sekai thinking, singing with such a weak voice when you are supposed to be like screaming in agony because you know, the lyrics Renai Saiban: Bang Dream. I just like the happy upbeat mood it has Rettou Joutou: Project Sekai. Idk why I don’t like Bang Dream’s, I guess I have listened to the original instrumentals for too long and can’t get used to the ones in Bang Dream Roki: Tie. Don’t really have anything to comment, they are pretty similar covers Six Trillion Years and Overnight Story: Definitely Bang Dream. Yukina’s voice strikes again Romeo and Cinderella: Bang Dream. Kazumi’s voice is more expressive and emotional Yoru No Hakeru: Definitely Project Sekai. Sorry Aya but your voice just doesn’t fit with the melancholy of the song at all. Kanade is doing a superb job here, well done
Also everyone complaining about Miku having a high pitched voice but yall like bandori where the girls all try to make themselves sound like children 💀 besides Rosalia, raise a sullen, and afterglow the entirety of bandori all sound the same and all sound very whiny. Morfenica is doing well on being high pitched but not sounding whiny but poppin party, pastel palettes, and hello happy world…
@@Blue-Code well I wouldn’t know I don’t play Leo/need songs because they bore the hell out of me. The designs and characters even their voices are very bland and boring to me. @@borroborroborro5711 There are some great songs such as six trillion years or Azu no Yozora. @@borroborroborro5711 That's true the same thing can be said for Bandori TBH. Popipa is the main band but in terms of characters and music it's a bit lacking compared to the rest of the bands. It's actually sad since I like Leo/Need.
While sekai stood a better chance against bandori due to it having a relatively large fanbase/a lot of sekai fans being fans of both, D4dj vs either is just an unfair battle and the profile pictures of the participants gives that away off the bat. There was a pre established bias going into this from the start making it impossible for any of the votes to be fair, even the sekai vs bandori votes, but especially unfair for the d4dj votes given the fandom size. The votes should of been taken from people who play neither games. D4dj lost against every vote for each of them. I feel D4dj was slept on so hard and having it go against one of the most popular rythym games was just a gargantee it would loose
as a bandori player I liked the pjsekai songs better on most of them.... I feel like they got cut short/had biased voters (JUST AN OPINION IM NOT ACCUSING ANYONE OF CHEATING IT COULD BE PERSONAL PREFERANCE)
for me bandori style has lost its uniqueness. imo all covers became dull and stale, while d4dj and proseka sound fresh. ofc most of the members prefered bandori vers bc they listened them much earlier
As a fan of all three games, i have to say d4dj is my all-time favorite. Bang dream is great at incorporating the actual band instruments of the given band into the song, making it feel very canon, but i love how d4dj makes the song so unique. Take Dounimo Tomaranai, my favorite cover from d4dj. It’s quite an old song but the way they rearranged it was just amazing and it’s become an addicting map for me to play. Project sekai has many options for cover voices per song, which is an interesting feature, but they all seem somewhat the same to the original. For this reason i usually use the original vocaloid as it fits the best and sometimes human voices don’t work well with songs made for vocaloid voices, unless the instrumentals are changed. (Bring it on sounds soooo much better with Giga-P’s len and rin tuning imo!)
8:34 as someone very familiar with both covers, and who prefers ena to yukina anyways, i can say that roselia has BY FAR the better cover of charles. it comes down to 2 things: the instrumental, which is far more melodic in roselias case, and the key. yukina SLAYS those high notes, ena and mizuki needed them to be edited to be lower. so, i guess, tie broken??? great video by the way! that one just IRKED me.
I agree with the instrumentals and high notes but imo apart from those her singing made the song more boring. It sounds like any typical anime opening idk why they felt that she needed to sing the whole song aggresively instead of only the chorus.
@@タブリス-t4v Agreed! I feel Ena’s and Mizuki’s vocals give more feelings to the song. I kinda don’t like many Bandori covers bc I feel they scream more than necessary lol.
@@タブリス-t4v right? they're all band units in bandori so the instrumental will be obviously different, but then you can feel mizuena's emotions on the song, with great quality at the same time
I don't really agree about ena and Mizuki Cover to feel their feelings or something,I feel like I like the bandori cover way better since I can enjoy the vocals and the instruments and I feel yukina feelings better but that is just my opnion.
I personally feel a dislike towards a lot(not all) of bandori covers as they usually feel like they are missing something in the instrumental usually but sometimes the voice
like the way bandori won to d4dj on nearly all songs really does shock me, there are so many songs that d4dj just did better but since bandori is so popular i feel like it gave them a n advantage
As someone who plays all 3 but likes sekai the most I disagree. I think it's understandable that Bandori won. Bandori is a tough competition and bands have more capabilities than remixes. The instruments put more uniqueness and love in the covers. It's especially unfair for sekai since the instrumentals aren't changed and virtual singers are also to blame since they aren't always tuned well. So the comparison itself may be a little unfair. Maybe they should have focused on the vocals only.
some of the bandori covers feels so different from the original. Their vibes + their voice/pitch are sm high which makes it quiet weird while pjsk try to sound like the original. Some of d4dj covers are also sm better than the bandori(imo but idk if it's because I haven't actually listened to the original but bandori's high pitched really hurts)
As a Bandori and PJsekai fan, I mostly agree with the ranking. Roki, Roku Chounen, Romeo and Cinderella, Charles, KING, Yoru ni Kakeru and Happy Synthesizer are a tie for me. Both covers are very good to listen to, taking into consideration me discovering vocaloid thanks to PJsekai. However, for Asu no Yozora and Lost One's Weeping, I have to give it to PJsekai. I feel like Ichika has more feeling compared to Ran.
Tbh it’s the opposite for me. I feel like ran’s vocal of those two songs are a lot better compared to ichika’s (not slandering anyone here, just making my opinion as a music nerd) ran didn’t use her head voice to reach the high notes while ichika used head voice, making the note just a bit weaker compared to afterglow’s version. And yes I understand that the bandori version shifted the key down, making the notes a bit easier to reach, but it’s another point of superiority over the pjsk one. It’s definitely a lot harder to sing songs written for robots in the original key, so I understand why ichika didn’t performed as well
The thing I have about bandori mixes is, yes, they’re clean, and their vocals can be better, but the mixes have (in my tastes) no relation to the original song, like Bring It On (I knew this song before playing bandori or Proseka), has this taste of rock, when its originally EDM or Buriki no Dance... I really like some covers of Bandori but for me, at that point of changing it’s not a cover, it’s more like a re-interpretation of the song... but everyone was their taste, and bandori it’s just not for me, even though Bandori has the best music (And Proseka gameplay imo)
That’s probably why bandori covers are more generally liked , because they totally change up songs and personally songs like buriki no dance or blue bird just don’t sound good to me in the original version because it’s just not my style of music but bandori somehow manages to make songs that I didn’t even like into reinterpretated versions that sound much better, and most Japanese people seem to like this kind of genre that bandori has so that explains why they get more popular
I think that’s what makes the Bandori franchise so special. (to me at least!) Bandori covers don’t hold back and the new instrumentals bring a breath of fresh air for me. This is just a personal opinion, but the fact some bands (PoPiPa, Roselia, RAS) CAN LITERALLY PLAY THEIR CHARACTER’S INSTRUMENTS make the song feel more personal.
@@souyo941 Yeah, I think Bandori is really special in that sense, and I'm glad to see people seeing this as another point of view and not as an offense, and also THE BANDS CAN PLAY THEIR INSTRUMENTS ITS A HUGE PLUS- But I feel more conection to a song more close to the original than a new version with new instrumental, its like my brain don't understand they're the same song and just puts an X over the cover, because I don't feel what I felt with the original! Its interesting to see other opinions about Bandori's covers thought
I think this is all a matter of music preference, I can't stand EDM music so a comparison between BanG Dream! and D4DJ is certainly something of a bias, a comparison between BanG Dream! and Project Sekai is still better because the music style is similar, but keep in mind that what determines the winner is the number of votes, not the quality of the music, after all, everyone has their own opinion, nothing is worse or better if it comes back to personal preference
I feel like this ranking is biased, if you wanna make a new one i reccomend finding people that dont play either of the games and not a fan of the games so it would be fair Sorry if my english is bad pls dont keel me
i feel like some of these were heavily biased since most probably play bandori than the other games like yes the bandori covers were good but imo not all were a winner
i think bandori and d4dj always has an interesting take with the covers, be it good or bad, while prj sekai is somewhat half originals with it's same musicals as the OG and the vocaloids singing, so it seems like a half cover. i personally think bandori is the winner, espiecally with their take on the instruments. but i think charles is an easy win for bandori, yukina high voice and the instruments is better than the og.
Honestly pjsekai covers dont really have a choice but to stay close to the original, since they put both the cover and original versions in game and they have to make them synced to make the rhythm game playable
@@bigchongus5140 TBH both Yukina and Mizuki/Ena put a lot of emotion Feeling into the song. It's all in a manner on which instrumental of Charles the person prefers.
In my opinion, this is simply about personal tastes, I like to listen to the instruments and the voices that are strong and manages to show the feeling that the song requires. For that reason I prefer in general the bandori covers, since I feel that sometimes in proseka there's a lack of feeling and in d4dj you can't hear the instruments which is obvious because it focuses on DJs. Anyway, in the end as I said this is about personal tastes, maybe favoritism in some cases, but if we talk about quality of covers, voices and instrumental, bandori manages to stand out in my opinion. (Still, as a good Vocaloid fan that I am, I love proseka songs too its just that sometimes they are missing something)
Everyone shit talking proseka for not completely changing the song for the covers forget they literally CANT do that. The songs are charted so you can play them with either the cover band or the original vocaloid version. Completely changing it would make it so one is completely off beat and the other is on beat
The only problem with proseka is the vocaloid voices clashing with the normal vocalist voices. And even then Bandori's covers still sound great even if the songs arrangement has changed. Not saying Project Sekai covers are bad tho.
Don't want to offend anyone and you may be insulting how I like songs but all of the Bandori vs Pjsekai songs I like Pjsekai better. All of them- I generally don't like how bandori cover the songs. Please don't attack me on this if you're like a bandori Stan or something. I will also respect your opinion if you like Bandori better. And Bandori vs D4DJ I personally like D4DJ in most of them though in some of them I like Bandori better. RENAI SAIBAN SOUNDS SO WEIRD IN BANDORI VERSION TO ME I CANT 😰
For me, I just find Bandori super boring instrumental wise. All the arranges are from the same band? (Elements Garden) and sometimes they don't know how to change the song so it's more for the band from bandori. I like more some of them tho, like in Sekai or D4DJ, but since for those games they use the original instrumental with some mixing so it fits the vocals or other producers make the arrange, there is more variety (also the fact that in Bandori is always the leader vocal the same is super boring but yeah, just tastes). Voices from Virtual Singers are another thing tho, they are still in development so they don't know sometimes how to use them correctly, but still they fit with the other vocals. I still like Bandori, but it became boring after listening to the same arrangers and the same leaders so I just don't listen them like before.
You may be bored because you've listened to bandori songs more. I've tried playing these 3 games, and I think bandori has its own charm, which is covering songs with their own style. I agree with your opinion on project sekai, project sekai is a new game + newbie VA, the quality of their cover songs will get better over time. Also sorry bad English
Finally, someone who feels the same way as I do. This is the exact reason I could never get into Bandori no matter how hard I try (I kinda like Hello Happy World though). Very unpopular opinion but I just find the leaders' vocals bad, especially Kasumi. I'm so sorry but I also think that Yukina's voice is overhyped. She has the power sure, but for me, it just doesn't sound that good, I can't exactly point it out but maybe it's cause it sounds like she exaggerates the power of her voice more than she's supposed to. I also agree that the instrumentals sound so boring though it might be cause they're usually pitched down from the original. Don't get me wrong though, I like some of the covers better like Hello Happy's Ren'ai Saiban and Pasupare's Happy Synthesizer compared to MMJ's. I don't mean any bad for those who think otherwise of my personal opinions. (which is probably the majority). If you like Bandori, that's cool but it's just never something I can get into.
(My opinion) I know that everyone says that bandori covers are better because of how they change the song from the original. So I first played bandori as my first rhythm game, but quitted after 6 months because ngl it's really hard to master it with being a thumb player with big thumbs and the slides are literally killing me. Then discovered puroseka and oh boi I'm addicted, choosing out of gameplay quality of the three puroseka wins by a huge margin. Damn it really feels unique having different note sizes and custom notes and really friendly slides only cons for me is omg the gacha is total bs anyways for me puroseka is better I can already fc some master songs easier and the best pros is no toxic people in the community (for now) and that's all I have to say.

Am I like the only person who enjoys listening to Proseka? I personally like Roki, King, ID Smile, and a lot more songs compared to Bandori. I don't really hate Bandori covers but Proseka is definitely better for me.
it feels like having bandori vs D4Dj is a bit redundant to spend time making a video on, like if the result is already mostly a given why put oit in the video. its not like i don't like the video, i appreciate the work, but for some reason the video feels redundant when one side wins overwhelmingly. edit: i also feel like one of the only things prseka had going for it was that there were actually dudes in the songs. i feel like it wouldn't have won at all (with this judge panel) otherwise. Also i realized this while i was playing later, but d4dj songs are made with the intent that you'll be messimg with them while playing the song (with like sliders and scratches on the discs)
Got these results from a person who never played any of the games. Ratings for every song, in order of the vid (only did Bandori vs D4DJ): D4DJ Bandori Bandori D4DJ D4DJ D4DJ Tie Bandori Bandori D4DJ Bandori
ngl im tires of people saying that bandori makes the songs “unique”. its true but thats what i hate about it. i like the song for being the song so stop changing everything i like about it. as for “they make it fit the band better”, then just find a song that fits their band already, thus, not having to change the damn instrumental so much. if you want to start an argument, i am ready to fight in the reply section. sincerely, an annoying vocaloid fan 😍
I am playing pjsekai. But my friend introduced d4dj to me and i wanted to try it so thats what i did. I love the game bc it has so many songs from all the categories! I play both pj sekai and d4dj since both are amazing games But some comparations were some unfair..(i mean for d4dj) like that game is not very well known as pjsekai or bandori. That game is barely known.
Both are great, but I personally prefer Project Sekai..it keeps the direction of the original song, but it makes sense that Pandori leans more on rock because it's a band..If you like original songs more, I think Project Sekai will suit you better. Anyway..I think I'm gonna play d4dj after this video it have a really good covers (sorry for my poor English I used Google translate)

Like, people in the comments talk about Bandori covers being unique, but D4DJ covers often have very unique arrangements for better or worse (Blue Bird being for best and Ready Steady Go being for worst tbh), so that's clearly bullshit. People just have Bandori favoritism because it's way more popular than both D4DJ and Proseka in the worldwide community due to the latter's global releases being less than a year old, with the JP versions both being around a year and a half old.
@@toohopeful160 That's true. But remember it also depends on the person's taste. An example is I prefer Roselia's Namae no Kaibutsu than Rondo's. And both of them are my favorite groups in each game by the way.

I think it's because the target audience for proseka are old vocaloid fans that's why they're trying to stick true to the og
Pro sekai usually goes for the Music Video kinda theme while Bandori has a band kind of theme as for D4DJ idk cause I didn’t play it 🤷♂️

Blue bird...
I can agree to symphagear and blue Bird. But Afterglow did a better ready steady go.
I have to agree even though I love both covers. Photon Maiden gives a new vibe into their covers, with just the perfect trap beats and edm (I'm now jamming to their Bluebird cover)
The reason d4dj and BanG_Dream is different is because one involves bands while the other involves being a dj.
Which is also why a lot of d4dj covers sound simple while BanG_Dream sounds complicated.

This. I prefer playing D4DJ for different reasons but still. This
The video cuts the drops for pretty much every D4DJ song.
So bandori won because it's popular?
@@bigchongus5140 probably
and been out longer I guess?
@@bigchongus5140 I don’t think so, I started playing project sekai before bandori and I used to like the songs in projectsekai but after I started playing bandori I Realized bandori really do have better song covers in general , probably because they’re very experienced and their instrumentals are always extremely well done so I don’t think any rhythm game will come close to bandori music-wise , ofcourse they have the advantage of being the oldest game of bunch too , but their early covers are very well done too
Charles and King both being ties is the biggest mood ever. Thank you for making this!
Not all project sekai covers uses the original instrumentals. A good example is asu no yozora, kagerou daze and lost one's weeping
@@xephenatsu5009 I know, Ghost Tokyo City also uses different instrumental. My points still stands, considering the arrangement for those doesn't really deviate too much from the original. (which isn't a bad thing either)

Yeah RAS's Bring It On doesn't sound like Bring It On.
ras bring it on sounds like another song entirely tbh
I didn’t expect there to be so little Proseka fans tbh

I love Proseka covers too!
Although I feel like they should make people who don’t know these song and game vote instead.
Probably because it wasn't that popular when this video was made
i like how in proseka covers, it's usually closer to the original song or fits the same vibe. for bandori and d4dj covers, it didn't really match the same style, giving more of an edgy or pumped up feeling ig. Doesn't mean its not good tho! its just it feels to -.. extra for lac of a better word :P
The only one I kinda disagree on is Namae No from Roselia vs RONDO. I still think RONDO's version is slightly better.

In the band story, they were forced into being a band instead of being regular idols which made them fake their first live's music. gameplay-wise, i like d4dj more than bandori, but vocal-wise, bandori takes it imo
imo i dont get why nobody voted for most d4dj covers. to me they're like actual covers, a unit came together to make their own unique version of a song letting both its fans and fans of the original creators of the song. bandori covers certainly have clean vocals and amazing instrumentals but they sound almost identical besides a few slight changes
this is of course just my own opinion tho, you can like the bandori ones for whatever reasons you have and your requirements for a good cover could be different from mine
SOMTRRUE

I think the reason why D4DJ's remixes are different is that in needs to be danceable like you know DJs, Parties and stuff
I would like to see part 2 tho! If there's more covers there

I also like how they make their cover song something that fits the atmosphere/theme with the group that covers it. Like, Roselia covers sound like a Roselia song, it's proof that they have a defining sound and I think that's what makes Bandori covers different. Loved the twist in some D4DJ covers too...

Literally no one from thr listeners had any d4dj pfp, the way d4dj didnt have any win makes me feel like this is so rigged by bandori bias
i counted and there were 3 judges out of the selection with d4dj pfps

I like D4DJ spin on the song, it sounds pretty soothing, but Bang Dream is good too so eh

Ex metalhead i choose Bang Dream 🤘
bandori doesn't just cover songs, they turn that song into something that fits their style
Nope, Cover is a Cover. But if u change the lyrics it's not a Cover anymore🗿
as a bandori player I liked the pjsekai songs better on most of them....
But D4DJ did the same tho, thier covers are different from the original similar to Bandori.
definitely not biased at all /s
I feel like D4DJs cover of Namae no nai kaibutsu is better. It’s just feels more energetic and I guess that’s why like it.
1:30 imagining one person choose D4DJ. That will be perfectly balanced as everything should be
wym??
i rlly wanted d4dj to win that one 😭
@@randomname1924 Insert mafumafu intense scream
I personally feel a dislike towards a lot(not all) of bandori covers as they usually feel like they are missing something in the instrumental usually but sometimes the voice
i feel like bandori mainly won due to its popularity tbh, d4djs covers are really good whereas bandori covers are pretty bland
like the way bandori won to d4dj on nearly all songs really does shock me, there are so many songs that d4dj just did better but since bandori is so popular i feel like it gave them a n advantage
@@rimirin8984 honestly they should have hosted the voting with people that are fans of all three games so it would be more fair and less bias.
I think bandori wins a lot maybe because of how the vocals are amazing plus the instruments make the covers sound more likeable idk how to explain
You don't need to explain, im sure everyone play bandori understands this
Ex Metalhead i agree with u 🤘🔥
some of the bandori covers feels so different from the original.
It’s definitely a lot harder to sing songs written for robots in the original key, so I understand why ichika didn’t performed as well
not in lost one's weeping, shiho sounds so bad compare to what she normally sounds... her low notes and ichi's high notes is meh
Romeo and Cinderella n Synchrogazer going to Bandori I’m not forgiving a single soul in this video
@@souyo941 Yeah, I think Bandori is really special in that sense, and I'm glad to see people seeing this as another point of view and not as an offense, and also THE BANDS CAN PLAY THEIR INSTRUMENTS ITS A HUGE PLUS-
But I feel more conection to a song more close to the original than a new version with new instrumental, its like my brain don't understand they're the same song and just puts an X over the cover, because I don't feel what I felt with the original! Its interesting to see other opinions about Bandori's covers thought
I agree with you on that
I think this is all a matter of music preference, I can't stand EDM music so a comparison between BanG Dream! and D4DJ is certainly something of a bias, a comparison between BanG Dream! and Project Sekai is still better because the music style is similar, but keep in mind that what determines the winner is the number of votes, not the quality of the music, after all, everyone has their own opinion, nothing is worse or better if it comes back to personal preference
I feel like this ranking is biased, if you wanna make a new one i reccomend finding people that dont play either of the games and not a fan of the games so it would be fair
Sorry if my english is bad pls dont keel me
i feel like some of these were heavily biased since most probably play bandori than the other games like yes the bandori covers were good but imo not all were a winner
Yoo they didn't hear fire beat on blue bird photon maiden
i think bandori and d4dj always has an interesting take with the covers, be it good or bad, while prj sekai is somewhat half originals with it's same musicals as the OG and the vocaloids singing, so it seems like a half cover. i personally think bandori is the winner, espiecally with their take on the instruments. but i think charles is an easy win for bandori, yukina high voice and the instruments is better than the og.
nah charles of mizuena has more feelings/emotions on singing the song, well ofc the instrumental with be always better/different
Honestly pjsekai covers dont really have a choice but to stay close to the original, since they put both the cover and original versions in game and they have to make them synced to make the rhythm game playable
@@이름뭘로하지-y6o for a game like project sekai, i'd say that pursuing the same as the og intruments is good but only for them since they have vocaloids
@@bigchongus5140 TBH both Yukina and Mizuki/Ena put a lot of emotion Feeling into the song. It's all in a manner on which instrumental of Charles the person prefers.
Bang dream is different the musical, the beats and the vocal is perfectly fit in every song, but the d4dj is still great
Why is everybody in Bandori screaming-
Idk but I feel like that's a good thing because they bring so much hype
because it’s how they sing?? very shocking ik 😱
RENAI SAIBAN SOUNDS SO WEIRD IN BANDORI VERSION TO ME I CANT 😰
mood lol
I totally agree with Bandori's kind of rock sounds very repetitive to me
For me, I just find Bandori super boring instrumental wise.

HELP NOT THE BANDORI BIASED VOTNG FOR ROSELIA SYNCHROGAZER 😭😭
Guitar work for Bandori's Afterglow band is just so good man. Especially Roki, kinda made me want a strat with humbuckers and a fakkin' killswitch.
12:26 I love how it says that its roki

These results seem pretty biased. Most people included are clear Bandori fans judging by pfps, not the most fair
D4DJ has alot of really good bangers, bandori's just a really tough competitor!
How did happy ara's dream cafe not win?? This kinda feels like this is one sided ngl 😐😐

I'm sorry but, romeo and cinderella bandori? 💀💀💀💀
Yes.
Am I like the only person who enjoys listening to Proseka? I personally like Roki, King, ID Smile, and a lot more songs compared to Bandori. I don't really hate Bandori covers but Proseka is definitely better for me.
You’re not alone on that.
I like Proseka so much since i grew up with Miku. I came for the Vocaloid but i got a whole of new and fresh thing.
Also ID Smile is a commissioned song, we're talking about covers here.
it feels like having bandori vs D4Dj is a bit redundant to spend time making a video on, like if the result is already mostly a given why put oit in the video. its not like i don't like the video, i appreciate the work, but for some reason the video feels redundant when one side wins overwhelmingly. edit: i also feel like one of the only things prseka had going for it was that there were actually dudes in the songs. i feel like it wouldn't have won at all (with this judge panel) otherwise. Also i realized this while i was playing later, but d4dj songs are made with the intent that you'll be messimg with them while playing the song (with like sliders and scratches on the discs)

ngl im tires of people saying that bandori makes the songs “unique”. its true but thats what i hate about it. i like the song for being the song so stop changing everything i like about it.
as for “they make it fit the band better”, then just find a song that fits their band already, thus, not having to change the damn instrumental so much. if you want to start an argument, i am ready to fight in the reply section.
sincerely, an annoying vocaloid fan 😍
I am playing pjsekai. But my friend introduced d4dj to me and i wanted to try it so thats what i did. I love the game bc it has so many songs from all the categories! I play both pj sekai and d4dj since both are amazing games
But some comparations were some unfair..(i mean for d4dj) like that game is not very well known as pjsekai or bandori.

The Photon Maiden Blue Bird cover?? Hello????
