Hi Dave, great video as always, have you ever seen a case where a connector on a board refuses to export with the emn/emp file because supposedly it doesnt have a coordinate system? I have this one imported step file connector that just stubbornly will not export, I have even added multiple extra coordinate systems to the model with no luck
I have not seen that. Is the coordinate system named correctly? Should be something like ECAD_CSYS. Have you filed a ticket with PTC Tech Support?
@@CADPLMGuy you are never gonna believe this, I dug into this problem and found the "solution" so for the connectors associated with the board to get exported in the ECAD, the default csys on the connectors has to have is z axis pointing away from the primary or secondary side of the board. So basically i had to go into all my connector files, crack open the IDD and rotate almost all of the imports 90° so z was up or down, now it's exporting with connectors
Hi, David, is there anyway to make the "rule-edit result preview window" smaller under layer edit mode ? My preview window is so large that I cannot find the "ok" or " cancel" button at bottom. I made a snapshot of my window but don't know how to paste it here. Hopefully you understand my issue. Thank you so much.
