Du Du Group Engines: Powerful Performance or Just Hot Air?
Ah, the Du Du Group engines. A name that rolls off the tongue like a particularly enthusiastic pigeon cooing. But what about their actual engines? Are they the revving racehorses of the industry, leaving competitors in the dust? Or are they more like a sputtering moped, good for a laugh but not much else?
Let's crank the metaphorical wrench and dive into the Du Du Group's offerings:
Power: According to their brochures (written in what appears to be Comic Sans), the Du Du Group boasts engines with "unmatched oomph!" Now, "oomph" isn't exactly a scientific term used by engineers (unless they're discussing a particularly impressive sneeze). Independent tests, however, suggest the "oomph" might be more of a "putt-putt."
Fuel Efficiency: Du Du claims their engines "sip fuel like a hummingbird on a sugar high!" That might be true... if the hummingbird was hopped up on Red Bull and chugging maple syrup. Early reports suggest Du Du engines might leave your wallet lighter than a feather at a wind tunnel.
Noise Levels: Here, Du Du might actually be onto something. Their engines are LOUD. Like, "rogue mariachi band practicing in a metal shed" loud. Perfect if you enjoy serenading the neighborhood with a symphony of coughs and sputters.
Durability: The Du Du motto is "Built to Last... ish!" Look, nobody expects a Du Du engine to survive a zombie apocalypse, but surviving a trip to the grocery store without needing a tow truck? That's a coin toss.
Safety: Du Du assures us their engines are "as safe as a hug from your grandma!" This might be true, depending on your grandma and how enthusiastic her hugs are. Let's just say, extra-strength duct tape might be a wise investment.
Overall: Look, Du Du Group engines are... unique. They might not win any awards for efficiency or quiet operation, but hey, they'll definitely get you noticed. Just be prepared for a bumpy, noisy ride, and maybe keep a spare engine block (or two) on hand.

I love my Simpson gas pressure washer with the Honda engine..
But, I get not wanting to loan it out..I have a SunJoe if family needs it..not my Simpson
I believe in buying quality. Not simply for the quality, but to ensure quality remains available. The more we opt for cheap planned obsolescence, the more quality manufacturers go out of business.
But let’s face it, every year less of us can afford quality despite it being cheaper in the long run. Who could complain about a long term review on a affordable product?

For that money, you could've bought the Harbor Freight predator. Which as you know is a clone of Honda, and also if it has any issues in the first 30 days or whatever you just get a replacement easy. No emails, or phone calls or other BS involved take it to the store same day and grab another.
Only buy Honda engine pressure washers!

I just ordered the Ego pressure washer with the two 6AH batteries this morning , hopefully it’s as good as the other power equipment they make , a little pricey but we shall see!
Well, it can’t be any worse than the Honda pressure washer I bought at Rural King a few years ago.. that thing made me so mad ,I beat it to death with a log and kept the spark plug ,the air filter and the wheels.😅😂🤣
Don’t sleep on Kohler pressure washer engines either. They have really been great also!

I think if u r willing to accept having to buy multiple machines in a season because they break down then go for it. I don’t have the same situation as u because I only use the pressure washer for washing the cars and occasionally rinsing off the mower or house exterior. At the end of the day u get what u pay for. I can see both sides of the argument. I wish they made the pressure washer less maintenance dependent. I have a gas powered one now but I’m thinking of getting an electric one for the car detailing. I ruined my first pressure washer by using it for the cars and letting the pressure build up too much.

Does this guy not realize that triplex and axial cam pumps are massively different thus the price difference and it's not the maintenance pre-portion of it It's how long they last when axial cam pump lasting way last time than a triplex
