- Nijat Abasov has surpassed all expectations at the FIDE World Cup 2023. Starting as the 69th seed in the event, Abasov has beaten Svidler, Giri, Vidit and many more strong opponents to setup a semi-final clash against the world no.1 Magnus Carlsen. Abasov, who is now going to play at the FIDE Candidates 2024, played with great imagination and verve. Check out this battle in the Sicilian Rossolimo along with the commentary of IM Sagar Shah.

Gotta say again, I love this format. All the moves, the clock, the actual board and players as well as the superimposed diagrammatic board, all in one place, and the wait time between moves snipped so the whole game can be watched in exact sequence, in less than three or four hours. This is the best coverage I've seen.
@@DBC00P3R --- Those guys get so into their own analysis they seem to forget that there's a game going on. It's some kind of "handler disease": lesser intellects tell them to "make it exciting", so you get histrionics, them trying to be the foreground, instead of the background. We tune in to watch chess (not boxing, not ballet, not surfing, not downhill skiing). "Exciting" is not exactly what waiting 20 minutes for a move is about. Probably most of us do other exciting things, like visit libraries and read books.
Sagar Shah commentry is the best.
Edit: Thanks for all of your likes.
Really? 3:48 Sagar don't even understand that move he is saying bit too late 😂
@@xyzer586Sagar is an international master.Pretty sure he understands the position more than anyone else in the comments lol
Don't worry about this guy in the comments. Losers only have time to criticize.
@@youaremysunshine.1 it is stockfish 3800 level crazy move magnus played best move on the board from human perspective.. common nobody finds it in real game
Since I first heard him a few months ago this is the only way I've watched chess
Who wants magnus vs pragg in final 🙃
Yaeh I really want
Будет очень интересно посмотреть такой финал💞
I also
I want pragg wins in the final.❤🇮🇳
Me 😅
Only thing that would make this channel better is subtitles on the post match conversations. Commentary is 👌
15:34"I don't know" magnus really don't want to give his secret classes😂
From the body language we can understand that magnus did not even realise that he played a wrong move. Even nijat was not aware of the blunder he made. Only machines can see these things.
Unlucky for abasov the qg7+ check moment came at move 40
Qf1 was missed . Instead Rg6 was played. Therefore Magnus will always win.
Tournament winner is by default Magnus or Caruana or Giri for at least till 2025.
Beautiful commentary 👌, adds some thrill
Love the commentary ! So much learning
Great game and great commentary.
Azerbaijani future world champ🇦🇿❤️ great commentary btw, thx for the upload👍🏻👍🏻
well played Abasov
05:19 Big blunder by Magnus, captured on camera
Sir pragg k game ka review kab ayega
10:59 rook takes bishop , blackrook takes queen white rook takes queen and a full bishop ahead
What am i missing here?
Black rook can't move twice
Rook takes bishop, then queen takes rook, and white is up an exchange. I promise Magnus wouldn’t have missed something so simple 😂
@@Zork2478 thanku brother
@@Zork2478It would have been funny to see such a blunder in a fide tournament.
Well played Abasov
Why aren’t the commentators playing in the world championship, they seem to even figure out what wrong move magnus played
Magnus is magnus these little scare are like just a little hiccups for him....Magnus Op
In your opinion
Both r playing different
Magnus love you my friend 😊🦅
Abasov is not the only one who made a mistake. Otherwise congratulations Carlsen.
Magnus deu sorte nessa partida.
Abasov my-Nijat
Lmao 💀
Magnus Carlson is best ❤❤
Players will have mice for post game talk
Great run but time for Cinderella to go home. Magnus vs Fabi would be nice seeing these two in a very massive match once again. If Magnus faces Pragg I think the young one will be saying, "Firouzja?! I am here too, buddy. En garde!!"

5:04 why Qxa2 is completely winning for white?
Naughty Shah - 69th seed!!❤
13:22 why the black didn't capture the bishop with the king ?
Because it will allow Qc7
Kim yutdi?
why they are standing and leaving their seat? and comeback again while playing the match
Because that 1.30 hr game on both side approx 4 hr on a game
The most genius thing in this game is that Magnus finally got a normal haircut
Lucky number 69
Magnus effect saved Carlson.
Do you know how to spell his name? Normie
@@agentttttt Why so salty dude? I only stated the fact. Qh1 was a blunder from Magnus nd his opponent couldn't find the winning move Qf1. That's it duh.
@@sajalpratapsingh2057because they are humans, they are not robots
Nijat is nowhere near to Magnus
@@sajalpratapsingh2057Brother, there is a difference between "Missed opportunity" and "Blunder"
Qh1 is not a blunder, it's a missed opportunity
Nijat never had any advantage throughout the game
@@HareRama7108 So sick of Carlson fanboys like y
magnus seems to blunder every other game these days but nobody believes them.
Gm Carlson 🎉
Jo VD ko haraya usko haravo magnussss
Always after the game is done
Let’s listen to what they have to say
Inaudible whispers 😭
Who won?
Magnus
I wish prag becomes world no. 1
Where is Pragg vs Caruana
I love chess but I live in India so I’m sad
Weird game

Why does abasov disappear after every move😂😂😂😂
My machine is so much smarter than Carlsen!
Not Magnus best game, but he's not the no1 player for nothing.....

a somewhat sloppy game by Carlsen. he won't make 2900 if he loses focus like that....
He doesn't enjoy classic game anymore...maybe that's the case.
Disagree, he had a stronger position almost the entire game, outside of that blunder ofcourse.
Sagar is hopeless in analytics
You are best aren't u
