We are all skeptical about the game due to the Fake Hype, CMON Fomo with campaign exclusives and very simplistic gameplay loop…. But now, we are ALSO skeptical that this wasn’t a sponsored video.

Yes I'm still skeptical. The hype, fomo and marketing push doesn't work on me for this game.

(Jeremy here) My only counter to any crowdfunding game. "I never heard of it or didn't know they had a cyberpunk game on crowdfunding. I must stink." I know that marketing budget walks the line all the time so I feel your perspective though.

I agree, but I still think the game sounds very fun. I love Cyberpunk as a theme in general, and I usually enjoy real time elements like there where you get breaks between the times sections.
This seems to have a lot more variety than Project Elite, which was kind of a one-trick pony and got repetitive.
I’m sure part of the hype and popularity is because it is such a well established IP. But I’m backing at the lowest level to avoid all that.

I was never skeptical. The game as it stands is precisely what I was hoping for - I love my deep, crunchy games too, but I didn't want it for CP2077. I trust the people who have actually played it over the overly cynical commenters here, on other RUclips channels and especially on the campaign comments page.

I originally backed it, but ended up cancelling my pledge. I felt the gameloop was too repetitive and the co-op elements to simplistic and not really thematic enough to keep me wanting to play more. I understand they need to be this way for the timed element to work, but cyberpunk 2077 was crying out for a deep rpg like board game experience

It would be nice to see more RPG-in-a-box games for big IPs like this (and the Witcher for that matter). I'm not sure if those will ever be in thee Go On Board design plans, but here's hoping. I really do like how this plays at the table though, but I'm not at all sure how the campaign will feel as you progress through it. Hopefully it'll have some strong narrative.

Did they showcase more gameplay? I am not following the campaign that much but I recall in the first update video (or second) they mentioned that every content creator were only given the prologue which is set to teach you the game but gameplay would get a bit more wild with the following scenarios. That's both intriguing and a red flag. I definitely need to see more to make up my mind and it's too expansive (and let's face it, way too long to deliver) to take the gamble.

I love Cyberpunk but I'll stick with my TTRPG.

I absolutely LOVE Witcher the Old World, but I'm pretty skeptical about the time-based gameplay and especially how they implemented the netrunning (seems like you're VERY tight on RAM all the time, since you need to spend it to both acquire some hacks and then use them). I'm very much afraid that this game has much more "looks" than actual "fun/gameplay". I still haven't decided whether to back or not, but I'll maybe do so, since worst case scenario this should hold it's value quite well.

I think the biggest surprise for me is the sheer number of backers. Of course I recently looked at my game collection and thought that I just should not buy any new games for a year or so.
Now had the minis been 28/32 mm instead of 35mm so I could use them in miniature agnostic games too it would have been worse. :D
On the bright side, with so many backers it should not be hard to find on the second hand market in the future. So not skeptical...just full at the moment. While I usually don't like real time elements, because something or someone is bound to get damaged, they do work in games like XCom and Bottom of the 9th.

I just recently plaed the prologue again with my 20-year old son, and he really dug it (and he's not much of a board gamer).
