    Thanks for these videos. I’ve just got the game and was getting smacked in the final tutorial (lol). Your first video provided so much more I formation that should have been in the game proper. Thank goodness you have made it so much easier to move forward.

    One thing I might add, even though I cannot give specific numbers for it, is that all units have a hidden "Hitpoint" value that is depleted a little bit from any stress-causing hits. This is primarily how bombers inflict losses on heavy armor, which is not very well explained by the game itself. So bombers with different payloads can have very different roles, with higher power strikes being useful for causing real damage to units while clusters of smaller bombs can suppress and shatter the morale of many units at once.
    First of all, open topped vehicles can be killed by high explosive damage from infantry tossing grenades inside the vehicle, even if the infantry do not possess anti-tank weapons. This also applies to flamethrowers and satchel charges. Closed-top vehicles such as the sherman, panzer4 or tiger tanks can still be entirely destroyed by high explosive damage, it just takes a very large amount to deplete their hidden hitpoint pool and the amount they receive is reduced by the armor facing the source of the damage. This is why it is recommended to bomb tanks from the side or rear to inflict more damage and more stress.
    It is more commonplace that the tank's morale will break and their panicked crews will drive into the line of fire of an AT gun or enemy tank, but death by HE is possible.
    For example most bombers have no "AP" value for their bombing attacks (ignoring close-air-support planes like the ju87's and hs129's for a moment) yet they can kill super-heavy armor like king tigers and panthers. When mousing over the little "bomb" or "missile" icon on a plane's card in the deck builder, you will see light bombs, medium bombs, heavy bombs, light rockets, medium rockets, or "anti-tank" rockets pop up in a little info card. However, do not assume that only anti-tank rockets can kill tanks. Their classification largely has to do with how much "high explosive" damage they inflict and the radius around the impact point in which the damage is inflicted. Anti-tank missiles just deliver a very high HE value of damage in a very, very small area, this means the damage is concentrated on singular units hit while a heavy bomb typically has a very large area of effect and will spread damage to all units in the blast radius proportionate to their distance from the impact point, but that damage will usually not be as severe as a more focused blast.
    If you bomb a kingtiger or other super heavy vehicle and it's morale is shattered, and then follow that strike up with further bombing runs on the same vehicle, it will stack true damage onto the hidden hitpoint value of the unit and will eventually die.

      Yes good point I did not know this when I made the video as the game had just been released. But to clarify AP rounds are kill or no kill (plus suppress), HE rounds do damage to a units 'hidden' health bar, the more HE the more damage and that damage is cumulative. The units will grow darker as their hit points reduce. So if you see a very dark looking unit it is low on health and will be destroyed with a bit more HE. Personally I don't like these 'hidden' stats as it gives yet more advantage to veteran players and makes life even more difficult for begginers and casual players who will not know about this stuff when it is a key part of the game.

      Bubblebox yeah, the only thing we can hope for is more feedback to the devs to increase transparency to make the game friendly for newcomers. They game has a lot of depth and is wonderful, I just wish they had made some more information available.

      Thx for the info man, really helped me out :D I always assumed that I had to destroy tanks with AT units, but that's clearly not the case ^^ so thx :)

    Hi...im just starting.
    Thx for a easy explanation of the game.
    I've been trying to work out if i can build a battlegroup , with for example.
    Recon from a commando group .
    Tanks from Desert Rats
    Infantry from a Guards regiment
    You get the idea....but i take it that the pick'n'mix ....wont work ?

    Hi Bubblebox, Do they intend to keep this to just Normandy? Or are they planning to make this ALL theatres of WWII? Now that would be something eh? Include Naval movements and landings on a World Scale. It would make the old game "Risk" look like a game of checkers.

    What does the big green number on the right side of many of the cards represent?

    • @MatosandFrancisProd
      @MatosandFrancisProd 6 лет назад

      I believe those are what the cost of those units to request them during the game.

      Big green number is how many units are in the card, so if you have tank with number 3 it means, that tank can be placed on Battlefield 3 times until he desapear (sorry for english)

    In WGRD, it's necessary to tell your recon units not to engage, but it looks like recon units in this game are a bit smarter and do not engage as default. Is my understanding correct?

      The Macker you can switch off their weapons in the unit UI so they can't engage anyone.

      WwPlayz like the income per 60 seconds?

    • @Nodjia
      @Nodjia 6 лет назад

      yes, aside from the starting points set by the game-host or mission scenario those are the points that group earns per minute in each phase. It is very important to understand which phases have good income rates for each deck. In many cases there are decks which have very high income in an earlier part of the game and then have subpar late game incomes. Those decks usually want to be aggressive and take as much territory as possible, while decks with poor early game income may want to play more conservatively to preserve their unit strength so that when the later phase income starts flowing in they can overwhelm the enemy with units.
