Thomas Majchrzak of Autogefühl gives you a first static review of the all-new 2016 Renault Talisman at the International Auto Show in Frankfurt. We are taking a look at the sedan and the estate - and we ll give more background information on that new Renault interior, talking to supplier Faurecia.

Great review! I love very much the Talisman, I think it is beautiful and I love Renault because they feature so many nice toys and gadgets. I think in this case the estate is nicer and it is great it has a spare wheel, not a kit. I think a Passat does the job very good but it is too serious. This Renault is more funny, it can put a smile on your face with all the toys. Congratulations for being able to review the car with all those people around and thank you for another great in deepth car review.

I really like these two Vehicles you presented and reviewed from Renault , they really stepped up here game . The interior looks Great for the Price Range , fit and Finish fine. MMI electronics , I liked the Vertical orientation , but I would like to know what processor they are using , seems a tiny bit sluggish, but i guess you have to cut somewhere , but you could live with it ! Wish they would come back to US Market, these two could in my opinion do pretty well ,depending on engine choices to include Diesel versions .

The infotainment system looks to be pretty fast. Very surprised by the quality of the interior. I heard they invested 500 million euros in improving quality, they had Mercedes engineers working on that.

Quality of the interior has been complained by many. It's better than the Laguna but way behind Passat, Mercedes, Audi, Volvo and other brands.
Maybe that's why the Talisman isn't doing that well?
Another good video, the more I see of this car the more I like it. I can see a lot of work has been invested in to the design, I really hope it gets the attention it deserves across Europe. Oh and please Renault bring it to the UK help inject a bit of design flair to this some what dull segment.

+kimmern999 And Mazda 6 should be considered,it looks like spaceship inside and out!Materials quality is better than on the BMW series 5 and I am very happy to see that Mazda has gone that way,beating some luxurious brands.

Here almost three years after it's launch, have you thought about asking Renault again, how they feel about, I think, the low sales of the Talisman? Are they satisfied with it's performance in it's segment? It really never became a threat to the Passat.
I think the market is just stuck with the company offers from the other companies
Very nice review. It's like being there and this is what counts in this case.
I really love Renault, in particular the new cars I think are a step further compared to the old ones. I see a premium flavor. What do you think? Are you going to make a review like this for the Megane?

Ok so will you do it on January 2016 or after? Not there at the Motor Show? By the way I really like your reviews you always go deep down in the details in fact they last always 20 minutes almost. This is good for us, that we are going to buy that car.

The interior is the real standout. The gauge cluster reminds me of Volvo. The warm leather tones look good with the real or faux wood trim. And as always, the large central screen is very welcome. I think this screen direction will become the norm.
It looks like Renault is taking direction from airplane manufacturers on its seats. They are using high strength aluminum and carbon fiber along with new foams. The metal support springs can have memory foam molded around it saving weight and manufacturing time.

I've seen the YouCar video, but nothing from Autogefuhl.
I have to admit I like this car, it looks fresh and nice from all angles from outside. Interior lines looks very modern and "European". I also have to admit I don't know who let someone put this Chinese fingerprint magnet tablet inside of console, its really dont fit in. At least it seems fluid.
A review on the new SEAT SUV perhaps? :)

I wouldnt buy leather anymore as the productions involves harm for humans, animals and the environment - and you fund an industry that is relying with murder. Plus, leather makes you sweat in summer and leaves you cold in winter. Best is when you have cloth or microfibre on the inside of the seats. On the outside, faux leather could be used for the visual part, if thats available.
