  • I finally decided to not let my brain get in the way further from making this happen. For too long I was concentrating on making the perfect foundry using castable refractories, and i finally said to myself, just make something. And this is what I came up with, with much inspiration from many other creators.

Good to see you posting a new video! Like you I have been wanting to build one for awhile.

Thanks for watching Tom, and if you want to get into it, believe me it wasn't difficult to make, just needed to stop thinking about the perfect build and make a "Quick and Dirty" one.

Nice first effort Dave. First time I melted some aluminum at home I just melted it in a pouring ladle and a propane torch. Didn't use no insulation so I am sure it was not super efficient but it worked for what I needed. Down and dirty.😀

Yea, I just needed something to do and this worked for the day I guess. Next up will likely be either refining my ingot purity, or making a hot wire cutter or something. Thanks for watching.

Brooks Harvey thanks for watching, hope you get to it, if for nothing else other than a learning experience.
