The Making of The Little Foundry

I finally decided to not let my brain get in the way further from making this happen. For too long I was concentrating on making the perfect foundry using castable refractories, and i finally said to myself, just make something. And this is what I came up with, with much inspiration from many other creators.

Nice first effort Dave. First time I melted some aluminum at home I just melted it in a pouring ladle and a propane torch. Didn't use no insulation so I am sure it was not super efficient but it worked for what I needed. Down and dirty.😀

Yea, I just needed something to do and this worked for the day I guess. Next up will likely be either refining my ingot purity, or making a hot wire cutter or something. Thanks for watching.
